Progress needs Big joe,Thomas Wolfe and Damon Leigh, those three have reinvented themselves and are amazing at futureshock just for characters alone, I watch them .

The same Big Joe who recently pissed off Progress management with his t-shirts

About as much chance with that as Vinnie Mac lending Roman Reigns to AEW...

They should repackage him as Alan, he hit his head while back in India and for some reason thinks he's from the Toon.

Spud did a cracking job with a similar gimmick in UK just before he went to WWE. Hit his head and thought he was back as a trainee in 2002. Kept "turning up" at shows, helping with putting up the ring and always "having his gear just in case".  Really pulled it off.

Pwinsider are reporting that Impact actually made the decision to let her go.

Pretty surprised at that tbh, so used to wrestlers walking out on Impact over the years that its quite shocking to find out that the shoe’s on the other foot.

I thought she was a solid roster member.

Yup and me. Bizarre decision in my opinion just to "refresh the roster". There are others I would have dropped first personally..

"Allie's last appearance for Impact Wrestling will air on tomorrow's episode of Impact and she will not be appearing at this weekend's TV tapings.  Impact Wrestling informed her in January that they would not be renewing her deal and that she would be finishing up at their last set of TV tapings in Las Vegas.  We are told that it was just a decision made to refresh the roster and she was genuinely well liked.  There were quite a few people from Impact who praised her work to me today, especially her attitude from the last set of TV tapings as she showed up and worked hard and had a great attitude towards everyone despite being put into a difficult situation where she knew she was done.  We are also told that Allie kept the fact she was finishing up to herself and no one on the roster was really aware of it until today's AEW signing announcement.  "

Accepting Abyss' long tenue, I could name a dozen names on the roster that would be a bigger loss to the company than these two. Abyss offers nothing in the ring any more.

This has all the hallmarks of a Borash inspired talent grab or the WWE fucking with Impact.

Hardly a stick to knock the company with.

I'm not knocking them for Abyss leaving. He's been pointless on screen for the company for years.  Although it could say a lot considering how loyal he has been to them over the years, turning down offers that he now decides its time to accept one...

I was knocking them for Tommy Dreamer being added to creative.

And Abyss just had a Monster's Ball match.

    Oh, hang on a minute...

And Abyss just left along with Sonjay Dutt.

Impact Wrestling Hall of Famer Abyss and Sonjay Dutt have both exited Impact Wrestling, PWInsider has confirmed.

The belief among multiple sources is that they are each WWE bound and will be working for WWE shortly.  Impact Wrestling informed their roster of the departures in an email that wished each of them well.

Impact sources have described the departure as amicable for each, categorizing the company as not wanting to hold back either of them from great opportunities that they were offered.

Abyss had been working behind the scenes as a producer for the company.  He was the longest tenured performer in company history, having started there in 2002.  He had been with the promotion the entire time, with the exception of a short period where he exited as he was not under contract, before signing a new one and returning.

Dutt had been very involved in the creative side of impact, working with Don Callis, Scott D'Amore and Jimmy Jacobs.

PWInsider has confirmed that Konnan and Tommy Dreamer have been added to the Impact creative team as a result of Dutt's departure.

Laurel Van Ness wasn’t allowed... So I’m sure that’s bollocks

Where did it say she wasnt allowed?  Its more than possible she just didn't want to use it, favouring her own name than a "character"

Black Label Pro Wrestling were going to do a Chelsea Green vs. Laurel Van Ness match after she left

I assume Leva Bates was going to "cosplay" Laurel as Chelsea couldnt make the show in the end and Leva suddenly got added to another multi way match when she wasn't on the card prior...  BLPW said the match will still go ahead at a later date so Chelsea must be under the impression the gimmick can be used...

“I think that I have played, and recently, I have played an even more sexy character than I was used to playing, and it’s something that I prayed on and I know that’s not who I want to portray anymore. I know that’s not who I am and it’s not who I want to portray, and how can I connect with people, and sort of live that double standard. And yes, if I cannot find a way to use God and be godly in the things that I do then yes, it is time to walk away.”

Then returned 2 months ago playing exactly the same character

How can I live that double standard

Not who I am and who I want to portray

Honest Govnr. I want to be godly in the things I do
