  1. Conscience. - can just about understand the self elevation critisisim, however I have a point, I may be wrong here but do's he actually book the NWA british title? it's not an SWA exclusive belt as far as I know and if i'm not mistaking only held the SWA title once then never got it back again. Tends not not to job much at least not the last time I saw him 3 years ago I XVII pinned him and it was only soposed to be the third time in history.

The NWA-UK title finds it's home around an SWA guys waist, but you're right in thinking it's not our title. It's Hammerlocks which comes under the control of Andre Baker.Funny thing about jobbing... when I was down at TXW for a show last year, the night before their promoter asked "Who's SWA's jobber?" to which Con took a moment to think about his recent loss record before saying "Seems to be me these days..."For the ones you don't know about check out the DVD's available at Ringside Live and have a peek at the roster thats been shining through. All that typing for a cheap plug for a store I have absolutely no stock in :(
  2. I guess it's a good thing that this list is so close to G2, because it means that there is only a short time before we're all reminded how good Scottish wrestling is. Oh, and before I forget, aren't THREE bawbags in one match on the next SWA show ? That has to be worth a look.

Three Bawbags AND a Shitarse ;)Names up at Fan Access for those curious...

No. 2 - KG Tyler - Knows what he's trying to do. May well get there - hey, DDP did. ;) I'd prefer to see him as the wise-ass manager of an indestructible A-List, but you take what you can get. After all, most of his matches feature Darko now, so it's not all bad.

    "It's me! It's me! It's K-G-T...?"That's a scary concept...
  3. It is really comical watching how the Shitarse 50~ went off with precious little to no bitching, and then with 35 less entrants in the Bawbag 15...a world of new levels of bitchiness. It really does make for comical reading.

To be honest, I don't think it's as bad as the last couple of pages made out. A lot of it came from nowhere, which has kinda taken the fun out of the thread.
Some people seemed to miss out on that key word to be honest.
...apart from Conscience, heh. I really have enjoyed most of this thread though, just hope it all ends on a high note. When Kenny finally finished typing.

  5. With regards to my previous comments on not defending or slating anyone on the list (myself included) I think I'll echo the tongue in cheek reply of Mr Sunday Morning and since I'm feeling generous...

    ...

Two Bawbags in one match featuring the 'burying' of Johnny Darko. Just to keep you occupied until the inevitable Number One spot is posted. And because I'm bored and there hasnt been as much YouTube here as there was in the Shitarse 50...

  6. I re-watched Serenity again after my first tired viewing and I thought it was quite good.

I may end up watching Serenity now, if I get the chance.

I'd assumed that he meant that he was going to watch Firefly after re-watching Serenity. Unless his plan was to re-watch Serenity again.
Firefly's the one... this is the fatigue again :| I sould probably have a nap before I post anything else today...I'm not big on Joss Whedon projects but after seeing the extras on the Serenity DVD I might buy or rent the series on LoveFilm to check it out.
  7. Wake Up Ron Burgundy

Has that been made already? I thought it was still at the planning stages
Wake Up, Ron Burgundy is an alternate movie based on outtakes from the first film. It's been out for ages in America but as klown said it's only just been released over here as part of the three disc box set. I thought Anchorman was really funny but this was just terrible, you'll understand why a lot of it was cut if you ever watch it.
Gotcha, cheers.I assumed it was the squeal they were talking about. Luckily I can blame fatigue for my mistake ;)I think I'll avoid that one. I don't think the film was my thing, though as I said there were moments I did find funny, so I doubt I'll be spending any extra cash on another copy.Onto another movie... I re-watched Serenity again after my first tired viewing and I thought it was quite good. I've heard contrasting opinions on it, but I liked the idea of it all. I may end up watching Serenity now, if I get the chance. Sadly I was put off by flat mates playing live-action Serenity in our living room a few years back :(
  8. Wake Up Ron BurgundyTotally pointless. Anchorman is a fine comedy movie but this was just crap, I think I laughed about once.

Has that been made already? I thought it was still at the planning stages  I wasn't a huge fan of Anchorman. There are funny parts but it didn't encourage me to see any sequel of it or anything else Will Ferrel did. Ever.
  9. Somebody reckoned he had so little skill he should be renamed "Fumbles McStupid," which I think is a KILLER~ gimmick just waiting for the right wrestler.

Fumbles McStupid is Scotland's Johnny Kickpadz.
I'd love to see a guy called Johnny Kickpadz who wore boots. Irony.
  10. Yes but there has been some "look how bad these guys are instead" posts defending SWA guys purely for the reason that the person making the post has a problem with someone from the SWE.

It's as valid an arguement as any, when you consider what the point of the thread is. It's good that it's more well known names making the list though, because it goes to show that the talent in the decent promotions up here is good enough, that the shit talent is still good.I may have quoted it out of context, but my point still stands. They never defended Abraxas and Killian, because they didn't feel strongly enough about how good they are in the ring. It might have something to do with the likes of Micken being SWA that they made the comments, but they genuinely feel that these are guys with talent and are coming out and saying so. How they choose to do that is up to them. As I say, the "look at THEM" is just as valid an arguement as any. I won't be using it untill the list is out and complete.
Reading through it I think, in a small way at least, the comment may reflect comments I made. In fairness, I didn't defend anyone on the list nor have I bashed them. I pointed out my surprise (not over whom, just general surprise) and pointed out that its up to the voters why they voted the way they did... and I wouldn't argue that. Despite the negative topic of the thread, I recognize that its here for fun. Why not keep it that way? However, I have defended people not on the list. Not even defended them... merely gave my honest opinion on Renwick and Gunn.I'm not bashing anyone, especially someone I haven't seen :)
  11. The first two are obvious. I'd be gutted to see Mike Musso in there. That goes without saying. BT Gunn is one I'm not sure on, the more I think about it. I'm trying to think of anything really good he's done in the last 12 months and nothing's coming, outside of the Ladder Match at The Gathering. Then again, I missed the series with Steven Xavier which was supposed to be awesome.

I've seen a lot of BT Gunn in SWA. Put him in his element and he can steal the show. His match with Stevie Xavier in Johnstone in Januarys a great example of that. A lot of people were even raving about his match with CJ Hunter and that was his debut only a year and a half ago!Gunn's really improved since that debut and largely stuck to what he does best which is why people love watching him, and why I would be surprised to see him on the list. Though saying that, there have been a couple of surprises already :/
  12. Frankly I'm amazed at both of tonights 'inductees' so far. I think perhaps that most of these nominations were borne out of contempt for these guys' attitudes than their actual working skills, which are IMO very good. Each to their own as they say...

I would agree that the reasons are unfair, however its the voter decision as to who or why they vote - whether it be professional, based on workrate, gimmick or even, as mentioned previously, shits and giggles.Everyones entitled to an opinion. Some comments stand up as genuine criticism, some are just for shits and giggles. Hopefully those listed know whats serious, and whats either a laugh or a grudge/overly personal vote.
  13. After what happened with Kid Krazy in Motherwell with BCW, plus that UPW or whatever it was called, I thought he'd probably be in the list as well.

I've either missed or don't remember this... what did he do in BCW?My first (and thankfully only) exposure to Kid Krazy was the stunt me pulled at SCW in 2003 when he tried an SSP (I think, that feels like an eternity ago so my memory may be acting up) when Kenny was closing the show.
  14. Drew has more in-ring presence in his little finger than 90% of the wrestlers in England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. He may not be as great physically as he was when he was younger, but i guarantee he'd get a better reaction than most.

I was just thinking that. As for his weight, I have a classic Drew line from backstage at a show in 2003 "I made my career out of being a fat bastard, I see a gym I'm heading straight for McDonalds."Brilliant.
  15. Hellboy 2 and Wanted. Both really good films in their own way.

Wanted, hmmmmm. Did you not think it was a bit silly that a dog truck was able to keep up with a top bollocks sports car Jolie was driving? Or the Ford Anglia type car driving faster than a train? Or the completely stupid woman who decides to run into the middle of a shoot out in the aisle of a train? Those 3 scenes made me hate this film.
Or the car swirling into James McAvoy placing hims fimrly on the passenger seat instead of snapping his legs. That bugged me. Amonth other things, some of which are listed above. A lot of silliness in the films action that takes it a bit too over the top.
  16. I may be a little off as it's been years since finding out... but it was something to do with their track record in movies. None of them hit big at the box office and with problems they had finding a distributor they didn't expect much from this film. But when the box office sees money, it wants more money and thus a trilogy was born.May not be exact, but thats the story I remember. Saying that, the story is on the DVD so I should really just put it in and check it ;)

  17. It did the same with me when I was younger, but when I watched it years later when I was 21 the chopping and changing of timelines and circumstance made me think it was the weakest too as it killed a lot of momentum. I always thought getting rid of Jennifer was poorly done, but in fairness they weren't planning a sequel so without wanting her interfering with the Mary/Doc duo they had to do something to ditch her. I didn't know that until a few years ago, though.

What?! BTTF3 was filmed at the same time 2 and was in the cinemas a year later. They actually ran a trailer for it in the cinema when 2 was on release, afte rthe last scene of the film if I remember correctly. In fact, it was blatant they were making a third film in the second film itself I'm frankly astonished you could make that statement.Anyway, BTTF2 is easily my favourite of the trilogy - I'm surprised that the general consensus is that it's the weakest because I've never seen it that way.
I think you misunderstood......I meant they weren't planning on a sequel to the first film, which ended with the Doc coming back and taking Marty and Jennifer to the future. So when they got to the future, they ditched her by knocking her out (which at least led to something with seeing the future McFly's and then linked to the end of 3) but then as soon as they got back to 1985 they tossed her aside and we didn't see her again until the return to 1985 at the end of it all.As for the trailer and the end of 2 - I'm surprised it's been on every version of the film I've seen since, including the TV edits where they had no intention of showing the third movie.
