  1. If you are ordering the event on Triller TV it is better to log on to the web based version as you are charged in $ rather than Ā£.

I have AEW+ so the event was Ā£19.99 on the app but $19.99 on the website. Paid by PayPal and it came out to Ā£16.52

Hereā€™s a squash from the way to Rumble 92. He sets up with the Russian leg sweep which would take over for him using to pin jobbers after theyā€™d put his run with Ted to bed for good, presumably because they wanted to move on from ā€œused to be DiBiaseā€™s gopherā€ and see if he could stay over without that story. He didnā€™t.

Enjoyable little squash match that. I wish AEW Rampage was produced in the same format as WWF Superstars/Wrestling Challenge!

  3. Good show, I enjoyed it. And I've been struggling to enjoy AEW for a couple of months but chose this show to jump back in.

Having not watched for a while the devil stuff just seemed a bit naff, but not knowing the back story properly I could deal with it being what it was.

Poor Nick Wayne's mum though... imagine being a non performer who is tasked with going to the ring cold and then having to hit a man with a surgically repaired neck with a steel chair. No wonder she did such a bad job!

They should have done a much easier spot to get to the heel turn, probably involving her son to make it make more sense. But again šŸ˜”t I've not been watching for a while so maybe it all made perfect sense.Ā  Poor woman was like a rabbit in a headlight though.

But overall I enjoyed the episode and will be watching next week, might even try to watch collision at the weekend.

And as the biggest Kevin Von Erich fan of all time I'm chuffed to bits that he gets it be in front of a crowd again in DallasĀ

  4. Really enjoyed it this week, ended up watching live and I was only gonna watch first 10 mins!

I also really enjoyed the woman's match, which is unusual for me. Timeless Toni Storm is a fantastic character, although I'm a huge RJ City fan so this was always going to be my cup of tea. I eagerly await the character developing, there's so much that can be done with it...... bravo!

I enjoyed everything on the show, the only thing I could nit-pick at would be their insistence to rush to the next segment. But that annoys me every week in fairness.

I'll wear mine in solidarity next time I choke out a colleague.Ā

But seriously that was disappointing to see AFTER I'd bought one.

You need Keith to Google every purchase you ever make to find out all that's wrong with a company and its employees.....it would be painstakingly boring but you'd save a fortuneĀ

  6. Woke up super early this morning and saw the news. Booked a hotel half mile from the stadium. It's always been on my bucket list to go to Wembley Stadium since watching SummerSlam 92 on a portable TV in my mates nans house!!Ā

If you just listen to the audio on that, it could be a recording of him sexually assaulting someone.Ā

    Yawn.

Thought you didn't watch AEW....so do you just YouTube the bits with wrong uns in...increasing the number of views?Ā

Back on topic, thoroughly enjoyed the show but think Jeff Jarrett should have won the new belt....2023 but he's the best thing on the show and would love to see him have a run on Rampage defending the International Championship

More likely he booked Stephen Bear and Andrew Tate given his form for signing wrongunsĀ

Keith: Ruining threads & UKFF in general. Doesn't even watch AEW but yet posts every week. Bring back downvotesĀ

  9. Yeah, UKFF was a tough crowd this week. It's a TV show but yet complaints that some matches should have been on Rampage, another TV show?Ā

An unexpected title switch seen as a negative. I did not expect Darby to lose but found the ending exciting rather than predictable. So many times I hear that the winner was never in question, but when they throw a curveball you wanted the predictable winner.

Acclaimed have a bad week on the rap front.....

I could go on but I think the point is clear, Keith has sucked the joy out of you all to the point that wrestling cannot be enjoyable šŸ¤£

  10. I guess it was technically 'on topic' but it was a glib comment, primarily to lourd over people, as happens in almost every topic on here.

    A much better response was:

Not a Chance Vince returning will affect Ticket sales whatsoever

There isn't any indication that Vince will take back control of Creative anyway at this moment, of course it might happen over time but I still find it unlikely right now.

And don't forget Clash at the Castle sold the Majority of tickets with Vince in charge of Creative so I wouldn't foresee any issues in ticket sales with or without Vince in some form of control.

Iā€™m guessing not. Certainly not on any moral grounds thatā€™s for sure.Ā

Man, change the record. You have high moral fibre, the rest of us will burn in hell for not being as holy as thou.Ā

It's just boring now and counter productive to a wrestling forum, where people want to talk about, you know, wrestling. Stop stinking up every single topic and stick to the topics that are available for this kind of chat.Ā

If I was Khan I'd drag my heels as well no way should he be rewarded with a pay off after the shit he's pulled, I don't hate Punk either he's just gone on like a right spoilt kid.

Surely this is a case of Punk asking to buy out of his contract.Ā  What benefit would there be to Khan in giving Punk a lump sum to fuck off early?Ā

  13. Binged watched it in just over a day. Really enjoyed this season, good mix of old storylines and throwbacks and lots of new stuff to keep it progressing.Ā  It's crazy how much you can get invested in karate and it's importance in the Valley.

The Karate Kid movies, or films as I would have called them back in the day, where huge for me as a kid, so getting to learn back stories for the characters I remember whilst making something that my 12 year old also loves is just amazing to meĀ

  14. I don't think this incident will lead to any firings with severance pay. It seems everyone is judging a wrestling company that acts like it's in the nineties with 2022 corporate businesses with large HR departments.

I think the EVP's will take the brunt of this, rightly or wrongly. Tony will be doing everything possible to appease his biggest draw, whilst asking him to take some liability and no doubt make a few apologies. The fact punk is injured (if that is true) makes it easier for all concerned, in 6 months this will have all blown over and people will be glad to see him back.

That's not to say Punk won't throw his teddy out and ask for his release, which depending on the terms of his contract TK would be crazy to agree to. He thought Cody was dispensable and he went to WWE and will likely be the guy who ends Romans Reign. I feel sure WWE would make a play for Punk if he was available with the carrot being that WM main event.Ā

So is MJF now head of a faction of Ass Boys, Ethan Page, W. Morrissey and Lee Moriarty?

Weird as hell group if that's the case.

I'm hoping MJF hired their services just for the night!Ā

Enjoyed the PPV, been a fan of the Acclaimed since the start, but last night they were on another level. Fantastic!Ā

I totally get where some people are coming from thinking these particular calls are down to business decisions or injuries or whatever else. And absolutely their hand may have been forced by various things, but as a viewer do I care about any of that? Not really.

I think more often than not if AEW can't stick to what they were meant to be doing then they're not the company to thrive on that.

I mean, you really do care! Wish people like us would stop trying to give the opinion of the perceived regular/casual fan cos that is the furthest thing from what anyone who has signed up to this forum is.

  17. Always wanted to post a pic in this thread....hope it works.

Pics don't do full justice of just how good the chips were and how crispy the batter on the fish bites was.Ā  They sent curry sauce instead of peas so by no means perfect from Gary's Chippy, Town Centre, Barnsley

Always been fascinated by what Jim Powers must have been making around 1990-1993 when he was enhancement and mustn't be making much. Never heard of him having a training school or anything. Always wondered how some got by when they don't list working any indies.

Jannetty said in a random shoot thing I once saw that Jim Powers was a sound business man and had shares in a successful gym. No idea if there is any truth in that but guess a man who looked as good as he did wasn't sleeping rough!

I also remember that a list of wages from WCW in 1998 surfaced on the internet and Powers was the lowest paid wrestler on the list, earning $60k
