Adam Cole bugs me because he could bulk up and add meat to him frame, he's got the pc trainers and fitness guys to help him gain a bit of size, decent sized guys in most gyms look bigger/better than him.

If you can't be big be defined, guys like Ciampa, Gargano, etc don't have to be big to look good.

Nowadays I don't think its important to "look tough" as it did in the 80s

Cornette talks about this on his latest podcast.... basically calls on Cole to get on the roidburgers if he wants to get anywhere on the main roster

Genuinely thought this was going to be a four-sides vs. six-sides thread.

Square is the answer to that one.

I much prefer the six sided TNA ring. They should bring that back again. I can understand why they don’t; injuries, talent don’t like it etc.... but it helped single tour TNA as something different back in the day and was a recognisable part of their brand

Is it because of his shoes? I bet it’s the shoes.

Watch everyone, it’ll be the shoes.

Shoes do not make a man sincere though.... although good shout they. He does have amazeball shoes

  4. Superpowerrr was the the best wrestling programme I have watched in months. I don’t know if it was because everything else has been empty arena or old archive stuff and obviously it was taped before covid but I watched through all 90 minutes and it didn’t feel like a chore at all

also please condone correct me if I’m wrong but is the aldis vs scurll feud heel vs heel?

WWE always use the worst songs, though. Kevin Dunn's taste is music is fascinating.

I can’t get that weeknd song that was the theme for this years mania out of my head. I like how for the official mania they deviate from the usual generic metal dirge and opt for something catchy and poppy. Peter Gabriel’s big time and one republics love runs out from last year are good examples

So why do it then? Get this shit out of here. I can't be bothered to find the thread about this stuff and move this conversation, I'm going to bed. You idiot.

    Bit harsh like

He had a hell of a match against Nigel McGuiness at the end of 1PW's run at The Doncaster Dome.

Was this the iron man match? It was one of the best matches I’ve seen live and truly gripping

edit - just read the whole thread now and someone has already answered

  8. Whatever happened to Darren Burridge. He was a big deal back in the mid naughties and main evented a number of 1pw shows as well as other UK indies. He also had a great comedy tag team going with Colt Cabana called Team Shag (I think). Haven’t heard anything of him for ages and the internet doesn’t throw up too many clues either. Is he still in the business or has he moved on? “Shut it you slag!”

  9. Powerrr is by far the best hour of wrestling every week. It’s never a chore to watch and I look forward to it. Only change I would make is having entrance music for the wrestlers. Nothing too elaborate or over the top- I’m sure they could find some middle ground that fits with the studio atmosphere

It's a very, very outside bet, but it is possible. There's no way Ali wins the title and isn't being booed within a few months though.

With the very real risk that wwe turn this into a ‘you’re booing me cos I’m brown’ gimmick

Watching Austin Theory, I was reminded of nothing so much as a young Prototype debuting on Smackdown.  He's got a similar look, build, and a sense of potential.  This is definitely not his final form but he's as impressive a find as I've seen in a while.

Except for the no selling of that superplex he took. Got straight back up and had Roddy in a move.

That opening match was fantastic. I’d not seen Austin Theory wrestle before and at face value he seems to have a lot of potential.

Yeh loads of potential and someone who I can see them bumping up to the upper mid card / main event level in 2020 if the likes of Lee, Dream, Cole et al get the call up post Mania.
