  1. What a mark (fucking lovely though)
  2. When Sting first talked to Tony Khan he was told he didn’t like how he’d been treated elsewhere and wanted him to have the send off he deserves. I think he got it. - His Sons dressed up as classic era Stings and doing Stinger Splashes - Seek and Destroy - Getting all his greatest hits in - Doing mad crazy shit - His bestie almost killing himself (hoping this was the scene at the brooks household last night) - Going out undefeated and as a champion Greatest wrestling retirement of all time. And the Bucks were absolutely perfect for the role (“Sorry, We HATE you”). The whole PPV minus the scramble was great, but that’s been talked about enough. But I want to also call out the world title 3 way. Masterful booking. Hangman completing his turn to the dark side, Joe still being a fighting champion, Swerve opting to try to win by not cheating. It will be a shame when Swerve beats Joe for the belt at Dynasty, but it’s the right move because Swerve vs Ospreay for the belt at All In will be Amazing. For a company that doesn’t know how to tell stories, they did a pretty good job all night, this was near peak AEW for me and worth every penny. What a show!
  3. I’ve taken tomorrow off. AEW PPV’s are long so I’ve decided to watch zero hour (and a half) and then probably the first hour live and the other 4 hours tomorrow morning post school run. It’s got all the makings of an all time classic as well as what will probably be a very emotional farewell to the Stinger.
  4. No love for Lovestrick Nigel McGuiness or The lovely last showdown between Deonna and Toni Storm?
  5. I normally have the first hour before I go to bed unless something keeps me watching. Weirdly last night I woke up 30 minutes into the promo and had no idea how much I missed, and yet got to hear all I cared for, the Mania matches. No way I’m watching the first 30 minutes back I’ll just take everyone’s word that it was cinema as that’s the hyperbole on X
  6. Dwayne’s stock in Hollywood has certainly been falling. I know he’s got a Christmas film out for Netflix later this year and Fast XI whenever that films, but doesn’t seem to have much after the shit he pulled with DC over Black Adam and his TV show was also cancelled so this seemed like a good time to come back.
  7. 40 fucking minutes of a 2 hour wrestling show.
  8. Can confirm (not that I can eat it as I’m tofu eating wokerati) that’s a range of Iceland only foods.
  9. Illogical? If he didn’t do it on camera, how would the world know? He took that from Dwayne Johnson’s social media, because if he didn’t take a camera to the house he just bought Tamina, how would we know he bought her a house and therefore we should applaud how great he is!
  10. Hear me out. A lot of people complaining about logic “Well, what if Swerve didn’t come out?”. So my interpretation was Hangman said he was injured PRECISELY to get Swerve out. Look at what actions both men have taken and what they have said about each other over the last few months. You think with Hangman seemingly out the picture Swerve isn’t coming out to be all Charlie Big Potatoes because he now only has Joe to worry about and not the seemingly unhinged Millennial Cowboy? I thought the Mark Henry inspired twist was fantastic and I have no idea who I want to win of the 3. It’s Swerves time to win, but is it the right time or should that be at Double or Nothing?
  11. Kodi is software. Fire sticks are media devices that will work with anything that has an hdmi port.
  12. How does a 10 year old TV not except a fire stick? It’s an hdmi input. You can mirror Triller but that will depend how. I know it supports Apple TV and Firestick casting through experience. @Stattolooks like it’s cheaper on YT as it’s a rental. With triller it’s on your account to watch whenever, this looks like it’s only a week you have. As it’s only £3 (I assume as I have AEW+), it’s a no brainer
  13. Smartphone? Otherwise firestick or the like is always a recommendation to get apps on your tv
  14. He’s defended it multiple times on Collision and at least once on Rampage look at this handsome cheeky devil. He knows what’s up
  15. You can also order on Triller FKA Fite
  16. I know he’s not been well for a while but still that’s sad times.
  17. Most of the time they do. Either on the prior episode or as they did on Collision this week, near the beginning to hype up the main event. They were awful at it before (someone mention Butcher and Blade earlier, same when Dark Order debuted originally), but it is something they have definitely been working on.
  18. Utter nonsense. The roster first started to become bloated after the 2020 WWE releases and continued to get more bloated, but to say it was since it's inception is hyperbole. Nowhere did I say Punk coming in was his fault the roster was bloated, but it's true that when you sign Punk, Danielson and Adam Cole, they are going to be pushed to the top, and those guys who were already there will suffer as a consequence. He didn't sign 29 top guys in 2022 or 19 in 2023, most are mid to low carders and surely them getting regular work/pay is a good thing? @Devon Malcolm https://www.wrestlinginc.com/1316068/cm-punk-details-beginning-issues-aew-adam-page-elite-feud/ this breaks it down and was on the road to All Out 2022 when it all kicked off literally
  19. Not quite true @Nick James, maybe on here, but outside of this forum Punks return to AEW was divisive. I was never a big fan of him in in WWE, but that was more due to at the time he was on top, I was watching less and less due to the content as a whole. But there were a lot of CM Punk fans who started watching AEW because they were fans of him. But a lot of AEW fans were annoyed at his return as they could already see how bloated the roster was becoming and he would be coming in as a top guy when people like Hangman and MJF were starting to climb up the roster.Even after Brawl Out there was a split AEW fan base on people wanting Punk back and people wanting him sacked. A lot of WWE fans were angry and then changed tack when he came back to WWE, but again not all WWE fans. Maybe you meant the most vocal or noticeable, but to saw all fans isn't correct.
  20. I agree that a lot of wrestlers say shit when they leave, but he didn't just leave WWE, he left Wrestling, and that was mainly put down to how he almost died when he needed surgery and getting fired on his wedding day. That's why people hold him to a different standard than the likes of Keith Lee, Moxley or Leo Rush or indeed any number of the many wrestlers who have left not on the best of terms. At least, that is how I see it.
  21. For those interested in non WWE merch, Pro Wrestling Tees are selling Punk stuff until the 1st March and have 20% off site wide at the moment https://www.prowrestlingtees.com/cmpunk?mc_cid=66bc26da0b&mc_eid=0f443778ba
  22. Couldn’t agree more, it was my favourite film of last year. Also to your last point about Alexander Payne being irked about it being tagged a Christmas film, maybe don’t write a film set over Christmas surely? Although why it didn’t get released in most countries until January was a weird decision from Universal
  23. So what you’re saying is you only read certain posts of a thread rather than the what people generally do on a forum and read the conversation. Makes sense. Devon rightly challenged me and I think led to a good discussion about his stances and what that means to people. And it’s the number 1 thing that I respect of him, to use his position to be what he declared himself to be, the voice of the voiceless. @d-d-d-dAz I don’t think anyone critiqued him going back because of the Vince stuff, especially as the worst of it came to light after. People did because of all the shit he said about WWE between him leaving and his return, which is I think fair, but I wouldn’t have expected anyone to try and quit over the allegations coming to light, no matter how moralistic they are.
  24. no @SuperBacon you clearly made your point ignoring what was said. I and others explained the disappointment and unlike comments that have been made about him and his reason for getting fired previously, this wasn’t it. This is about what the man has done in support of women and LGBTQ+ in the past and questioning why he’s kept quiet on this. And some good points have been made as to why and I hope that’s what it is. Because I would like to think his comments and statements were genuine. You moan about point scoring and that’s what you’ve tried to do. Still, rather he kept quiet about an awful situation and not embarrass himself like Cena did, or make jokes on twitter making fun of the US Army man who set himself on fire in protest at Israel’s refusal for a ceasefire like Paul Heyman did today.
