  1. As everyone is sharing for once I feel comfortable and safe sharing here too for once.

2023 was a hard year for me with a couple of extremely personal and devastating things happening that really set me back.

My band split up when I found out the lead guitarist was doing nothing but talking shit about me behind my back whilst go my face every single week emotionally tearing me down.

A friend I let live with us and our kids saw as a member of the family fucked me over and turned his back on me when he made some new friends after having nothing at all for a full year and openly admitting the week before if we hadn't opened our house and family unit too him when we did he would have been dead because he had no one else in the world

Also had another setback with my addiction with my painkillers which I'm trying to get back on track with but this horrendous weather has me in so much pain every single day it's not easy.

2024 has to be better and I hope it is for everyone else that struggled last year

  2. I'm the most split human being in history right now. On one side we have all been desperate for this match which the world has rumoured and speculated about nearly a year and a half and like it's said above this is a true dream match in the WWE which there just aren't many of those left

But I just feel like Cody is getting shunted after truly deserving it and now leaving him with dim options at the biggest stage of them all.

I guess we will have goo see but no way are they not having the rock Vs Roman at mania

  3. I am genuinely shocked to hear these accusations about Jericho, he isn't a saint clearly and tried to defend ric flair on the sexual assault part on dark side of the ring but yeah didn't expect this level of scumbag behaviour.

Tony absolutely needs to fuck him off and show some backbone to the entire world currently looking at him and the company In this really dark and negative stance, it won't go away it might stop and quieten down but something else comes out and all piles on top making it a situation very difficult to get out of and come back from for the good of the company

  4. Oh shiiiiit pretty much fucking confirms it's UFC 300 no way there not having him on that show of all shows.

Just please God Conor don't fucking go out raping women or anything like that and fuck it up we have two days lmao but Jesus that's enough time for him to fucking do something to piss it up the wall

  5. I definitely think cm punk takes the top prize for most disappointing run in AEW lmao and will never be beaten.

Won't be watching live as it's New year's eve tomorrow but I'll check bits out tomorrow. I am pretty certain the belt is coming off MJF tonight I read a article today saying he is aware of the backlash with his reign and thinks it's starting to hurt his character now so it's time.

  6. THE GOOD
    Best Women's Wrestler

Rhea Ripley, Becky lynch, Trish stratus

    Best Men's Wrestler

Will osprey, Kenny omega, Cody Rhodes

    Best Tag Team

The uso's, Sami and Kevin Owens, Aussie open

Best British Wrestler - will osprey literally no competition whatsoever this year has been outrageous and he has absolutely excelled to a level no other could come close to

    Best Non-wrestler

    Paul heyman

    Best Event

Wrestlemania I'll say both nights Cos they were both solid and had the same weakness, aew all in, a couple of early in the year gcw shows genuinely great, royal rumble and elimination chamber also

    Best Wrestling Show

Smackdown overall this year has been solid and got me staying up to watch live each week

    Best Feud or Angle

The bloodline at the beginning of the year was probably the greatest storyline in history it's heartbreaking how much it decreased they dropped the ball massively. And also the will osprey and Kenny omega feud was spread out but when it came back to it it felt so real and gripping.

    Funniest Moment

Anything with Sami Zayn on the mic, fucking John Cena absolutely destroying Austin theory completely taking his lunch money phenomenal

    Best Heel

Roman reigns, Brock Lesnar's turn absolutely shocked me, Matt cardona also

    Best Babyface

Nick gage, Cody Rhodes, la Knights rise has now become really enjoyable

    Best Podcast

    GRPPL podcast for me

    Moment of the Year

Fucking CM punk returning at survivor series had me crying in absolute joy, Sami finally turning on Roman, the breakup of the uso's was fucking perfect and aew all in as a whole was unbelievably big and emotional for us finally getting the attention and shows over here in the UK.

    Match of the Year

Will osprey Vs Kenny omega wrestle kingdom I cannot express how fucking invested and emotional that match got me man just unbelievable talent those two possess, Roman Vs Cody even if the finish did take away slightly, Roman reigns Vs Sami Zayn from elimination chamber again had so much emotion going into it.

Promo of the Year – Cena absolutely belittling Austin theory really has stayed with me lol, Cody Rhodes and Paul heymans promos really got deep and personal

    Breakout Star

Mike bailey, Blake Christian, la Knight

    THE BAD
    Biggest Letdown

The sudden decline in quality and any storylines at all pretty much this year in gcw has really disappointed me, Cody not winning the belt at mania like the entire world also believes, Roman being absent for a hell of alot this year after being the greatest thing on wrestling TV in a crazy amount of year's

    Worst Wrestler

    Austin theory, Seth Rollins

    Worst Match

Roman Vs jay USO fucking bummed me out, the men's war games match too just didn't come close too the women's.

    Worst Event

The last couple of WWE ppvs or PLE if you must have really been underwhelming in comparison.

    Worst TV Show

I literally only watch what I watch and don't suffer anything else just watch if people are raving about a certain match or whatever.

I need to state this last bit, this year for me personally has been such a resurgence and once again got me so emotionally invested and gripped and I can't tell you guys how long that has been missing from my life so it really really has been amazing to feel so passionate again and be screaming at the TV or crying really crying at certain parts and not for a second feeling ashamed or stupid.

I hope to god it continues but it has taken a massive dip so I will just have to hope and see what we get in 2024

It started earlier than that as well. I didn’t bother posting it but Bassil Hafez and Denys Bondar already withdrew from the card. They’ve both been replaced. Wasn’t as newsworthy as losing Ms. Bumont though.

It does suck but honestly it now just feels like the norm and standard thing so very rarely does it shock or bum me out lol

  8. Fucking shocking news honestly what a loss and my love and well wishes to his family.

Fantastic talent and a guy that has worked so hard to evolve because he's been around for a good while now but I saw him on the gcw UK shows last year and he was just fantastic, pretty sure one of the shows he worked Matt cardona and it was truly enjoyable.

    R.I P buddy

  9. Christ it's just depressing reading that stuff. You wouldn't think he could sink lower and fuck the talent and fans any worse than the first time round but no no no he fucking did and did it so much worse it just boggles the mind why when he was doing pretty fucking well from the start of the rebirth bollocks why do what he did so quickly and go to all the trouble and whatnot just fucking a cunt behaving like the cunt he was accused of being years ago

I’m genuinely stumped what they can even really pull out now for UFC 300, that’s gonna seem as massive as everyone’s hoping for anyway. You’d think McGregor's return is the obvious one for 300 but I don’t know, maybe they think 300 will sell regardless and they can get better use of McGregor coming back at 301 or something. I don’t know. Then again, like I said, I really can’t think of anything that will match the hype fans are putting on 300. The UFC doesn’t even feel like it has any truly mega fights on the horizon now.

It says it all that all the ‘fantasy’ UFC 300 cards I’m seeing have the likes of Khabib, GSP, Lesnar and/or Rousey on them. And let’s face it, none of them are happening are they? UFC 300 is just over 3 months away. If they were gonna somehow entice any of that lot back then it needs to be being finalised about now because they’d need to get a training camp in. That’s where we are now though, relying on the old nostalgia shit. Even a McGregor return, it’s about as big a thing as they can wheel out now but, even then, McGregor isn’t what he was. I mean I love MMA as much as anyone but they’ve really exhausted things over the last few years with the cross-divisional ’Superfights’ and endless rematches. There’s good fights you can still make and no doubt they’ll put together a strong card for 300, but the way they do things now, nothing feels that big anymore.

    They’ve hotshotted the territory, pal.

I do agree with you here and my thought process after this absolutely batshit year we have just had just in the UFC not factoring any other companies in the argument it's a very strong statement from Dana saying the 300 show will be the biggest and most stacked top to bottom show in the history of the company. He did say the thoughts and comments about the last show we had with regards to the earlier flights being insanely low down the card he said that will be the case for the very first fight on the early prelims so Dana has absolutely made this rod for his back with this card If it's anywhere underwhelming the MMA universe won't let him forget everything he promised lol but I really don't think that will be the case at all it's going to be eye wateringly stacked

Christ the man really has turned into a constant meme or laughing source to the entire MMA world.

I'm calling it now if we don't see the announcement he's fighting at UFC 300 then it's not happening and we won't be seeing him in the octagon again. If the huge deal of headlining UFC 300 isn't enough to get his shit together nothing will be close and shut the door and get chandler a fight he has been ready and waiting for that fight and not fought the entire year because of that

It only feels obvious because you've decided it's obvious. What exactly have they done to show that much that Punk will win?

I just feel it's the way to go to get the most out of his return to the company which I don't blame them or feel robbed by it just takes the mystery element from it slightly for or the second year round

  14. Absolutely incredible work genuinely mind blowing lmao.

How does everyone feel about the rumble coming up.

The royal rumble is by far my favourite ppv of the year and always has been but I think the winner of this year's feels obvious again with my prediction being punk which feels like the biggest form a companies standpoint but again another year where it just feels so obvious going in and takes away that fun/exciting aspect.

However the women's rumble genuinely feels like a complete mystery

  15. Seems like a fairly underwhelming and disappointing smackdown tonight which bums me out slightly after raw ended up being a bit lackluster as the last actual raw of the year

No Roman is becoming a detriment and pretty much killed the entire run and white hot TV and storylines which is a huge negative point for me ending out the year with how much they got me emotionally invested and having to watch weekly to see the progression because it felt worth watching live and not I'll watch when I've got time of skip it until x ppv happens

  16. That list of fights are genuinely five stars across the board, it feels like they are either going on a mad one with these cards running up to 300 and then UFC 300 Will be made into a untouchable super show to end all super shows or the crazy stacking were getting loads to it being slightly disappointing but I really don't think with a breath in Dana's body he's letting that happen.

He said at the post ppv press conference the opening fight on the fight pass prelims will be top of a main card worthy outing which would break the entire MMA community Christ we will all end up having a heart attack come the first main prelim fight

Nah. Pantoja vs Royval didn’t get attention or hype because 1) they’re not shit talkers or fight hypers at all and 2) it was overshadowed in that hype department on a card where you’ve got Colby Covington bringing up dead dads in the build up and talking points like Shavkat’s rise, Paddy’s return, Ferguson’s continued decline and even the whole Ian Garry drama and his removal from the card. Then add to all that, that big ‘seasonal press conference’ or whatever they billed it as with Strickland and DDP gobbing off. With all that kicking off, Pantoja and Royval was always gonna go massively under the radar.

The lack of attention on that fight was never about people not expecting a great fight, if anything it was the opposite and that was really the only thing people expected going in. It wasn’t the FOTY contender it had the potential to be but it’s sport and sometimes it just goes like that. It was nowhere near being a bad fight. Just ended up being a bit too one sided to become a barnburner. It happens. Flyweight’s ace though. One ever so slightly lacklustre title fight doesn’t mean shit. They can’t knock it out of the park every single time.

Oh man to a certain extent I enjoyed the first couple of rounds where the back and forth on the ground was so intense but it didn't progress just both got gassed and clearly less exciting but it is a personal opinion didn't have a bad bad fight all night which made the evening fly

  18. Got final battle on now check a couple of bits out from it.

Got instantly giddy when I saw the opening match is vikingo Vs Taurus but Christ he's really having an off showing the Dive outside never great when you fuck it off and re try it three times before fucking off and doing something else, the amazing springboard from the middle rope outside doing the phoenix Star splash never fails to blow my mind but he bollocked that up and landed on his knees.

Shame cos he is a stunning luchadore but yeah not a great day in the office

  19. It seems I'm in the minority here but I couldn't be prouder and happier with Leon's game plan and what he did in there, he didn't let emotion take over and made Colby look like an amature and the fake/fraud he is. Post fight Colby saying he didn't touch him and he hasn't got a Mark on him while blood runs from his nose and forehead makes him look like the biggest cock in MMA right now glad it happened what a prick.

Co main wasn't what I expected I expected them both to go out and steal the show but that's not what happened and without meaning to sound too harsh showed why they didn't get any attention or hype whatsoever in the build and run up to the show.

Killed me too see Wonderboy get submitted for the first time which is madness that was his first submission loss considering how long he's been a active fighter in the UFC

But the Emmett Vs Gordon fight genuinely scared me and I thought we were seeing the first death in the cage with how his body was then convulsing it just made my blood chill so happy he's okay and no long term damage fucking terrifying.

The prelims were absolutely silly every fight felt like they were trying to steal fight of the night and looked like every fighter wanted to put their all for the fans and crowd which isn't something you see often but they put a shift in.

Great end to 2023 but what a fucking mad year it's been inside the UFC bring on 2024

  20. You know what I openly admit how much I hate Jake Paul but fuck me I cannot believe what he did last night and how impressive he looked against a professional boxer that knock out was perfectly executed and even before that he completely dominated the round with the Pro boxer landing nothing at all and Jake dictated and had constant pressure.

I might not like him but I cannot deny how blown away I was with his performance

  21. Well the press conference didn't disappoint but honestly I'm fucking sick of Colby saying whatever he wants and going to unacceptable and unnecessary levels which are unacceptable in every single way.

    Calling Wonderboy a peado

Then saying Leon Edwards dad is in hell just what the fuck is this about it's supposed to be shit talking and hyping the fights but there are fucking lines and unacceptable places that he constantly sinks too and I can't think of a worse champion for the company than him.

I now want and need paddy to stomp tony after that back and forth too.

    Bring on tomorrow night

  22. Honestly the entire segment last night was fantastic and perfectly executed throughout.

It was pretty obvious punk was signing to raw with the final choice and signing being on a episode of raw but they got the most out of him turning up on both raw and smackdown over three consecutive weeks I bet they capitalised on the ratings and in my opinion that first in ring promo on raw was a total flop and nothing will convince me only giving him eight minutes was correct and worthwhile.

Seth fucking knocked it out the park with that promo absolutely phenomenal and you could feel the tension through the screen and it felt legitimate and true drama.

Do we see punk winning the rumble which again is another huge VIRAL moment for them giving the paint by numbers road to wrestlemania (I don't believe he needs to win the rumble to get the title match at mania after that segment but I don't see anyone else getting a shock win instead bar Cody but that's equally obvious as he's clearly getting Roman at mania to finish the story
