  1. Just finished Ted Lasso, which was heartwarming even with a lacklustre series 3.

Screw on channel 4 is better than average prison drama.

The highlight of my viewing is the revamped Takeshi's castle, this time narrated by Romesh Ranganathan and Tom Davis. This time, they narrate the whole show, giving a bit more depth and it's such easy watching.

  2. Hungover and fancied a full fat caffienated Coca-Cola. Aldi only had disappointing Coke Zero.

    It's shit.

Pepsi max lime is my go to atm, especially if it's on pump at pizza hut.

  3. So, Ahsoka....

More Filoni wet dream material that feels like he's constantly trying to amend how shit the prequels are. That said, I'm a sucker for the whole Thrawn thing and this felt like proper star wars storytelling. Nothing felt rushed across the two episodes and I anticipate big things.

Like the inclusion of ex jedi mercenaries, lightsabers and David Tennant.

This is essentially Rebels S5, and I'm looking forward to what's next.

Two common complaints from super nerds and incels are: 1) more non lethal lightsaber stabs and 2) too many women - tough shit, star wars has always been about strong women, so fuck off.

    That is all.

  4. As great as the arcade game, hit and run and road rage are, there's a tonne of absolute shite. Krustys fun house and Bart vs. Mutants are fucking awful, and simpsons wrestling was so bad.

  5. I still watch Simpsons and know that the last 20 years have been full of tripe. Regardless, there's plenty to watch and I love looking back with older eyes on the earlier episodes.

Steamed hams is the peak for me. I still occasionally say "Good LORD what is happening in there?" In the style of Super Nintendo Chalmers whenever my children have made a mess.

Shit Simpsons is better than the majority of animated garbage. F is for family and King of the Hill excluded.

    Chalmskin.

  6. Saturday night casualty. Same format and it's strangely comforting.

Explosions, children being taken away from parents and a sad death.

    Don't fix what ain't broke.

  7. I've just finished Bob Mortimer's 'The Satsuma Complex' and it is full of humour and character development; it features Mortimer's quirky style and it moves at a good pace. Definitely caught me by surprise as I thought it would be one of those shitty romantic pursuits.

    4/5 would recommend.

Also recently read Elton John's autobiography. A complete diva but some great bitchy anecdotes. Who doesn't love reading Elton throwing shade on Rod Stewart? (Insert Kenneth Williams gif here).

  8. King of austerity cunt George Osborne gets orange confetti thrown over him on his wedding by just stop oil protestor. The outrage over this harmless act on social media portrays it as worse than the thousands of austerity related deaths. Fuck him and all tory cunt supporters.

  9. A fairly lacklustre series overall.

I think we've been spoilt with big surprises and reveals that left this finale being a bit flat. On one hand, I'm glad they didn't rely on returning characters, but on the other, it just didn't have that sense of urgency or drama.

    That is all.

  10. I can't help but feel like the mandalorian has moved so far from the original premise just to serve as a link to the sequel trilogy and satisfy Filoni. It's become a live action clone wars instead of the mysterious gunslinger in space.

A much better episode this week but I just don't enjoy it as much as season 1.

  11. I predicted Reigns retaining, and I don't really mind - going against the grain and subverting expectations is what WWE does so well. I also don't think the Bloodline is done yet, so having one win/loss over the weekend helps maintain the storyline.

Bron to be the one to beat Reigns - please.

Shane blowing his quad was both sad and hilarious in equal measure, god bless Snoop for saving the skit. It also goes to show how lucky Austin was last year given his age and time away from the ring, Shane really should pack it in.

Probably the best Mania of the past 10 years. Night 1>Night 2 though.

Ade Edmondson has an autobiography coming out. Will definitely read it although I fear there'll be a single chapter on Bottom and 7 dedicated to his shitty folk band.

I'll not have a bad word said against the Bad Shepherds. One of the best gigs I've been to, although there was a sad amount of people expecting Ade to crash through a door ala Vyvyan...

  13. @LaGooshI disagree with you - the clone bit in the middle did little for me, but starships flying about, fucking up interceptors and finishing the redemption arc made me excited for what's to come for the first time this season.

Laughed at the trap reference to the Mon Calamari mind you...

  14. Mando has definitely lost it's initial appeal to me; I absolutely love the show and the fan service, but it feels so different to the first season and I am a tiny bit sad. It's definitely tying up loose ends found in Rebels and filling in gaps between the original trilogy and sequel but it doesn't feel quite as fresh from when it premiered.

That said, the video game quest style format works for me and my son loves watching it (probably one for the tearing up thread). I am also surprised that the mines of Mandalore have been done already, as that was what this series was what I thought it would be based around. I'm interested in where it's going.

Oh, and adopting R5 after being adamant that it had to be an IG droid was laughable...
