at least the Glitter Band had a decent Luke Haines song lamenting how the rest of them suffered because of Gary's actions.

Lostprophets were always shit, and WWE are well-practiced enough by now at not mentioning or airing footage of someone if they're on the outs - they'd write you out of history for signing with a different company, once upon a time. The only question is how they approach things in the archive, but that will be Netflix's problem soon enough.

@BomberPat That song, and the whole album it's from is fantastic, Luke Haines is superb.

Lostprophets were, and always will be, absolutely shite.

Worked or was moronic, it's hard to tell.

Again if people have to do that shit to get people talking, I question their ability. Crazy bumps is one thing, allowing someone to stab you in the head is completely different entirely. That said, I am biased. I've never liked Moxley particularly and I feel he is rather over rated. I watched his G1 matches iirc and wasn't fussed either way. I just don't "get" his shtick. But I'm sure that's just me.

I did like Foley in the days when he toned down his stuff. The difference being though that Foley had likeability, whereas I struggle to see anything interesting in Moxley. Maybe if he stopped cutting himself up and doing stupid shit, he wouldn't have needed to use substances so much. Who knows?

You do realise that Mox was doing all of this stuff years ago in CZW, right? It's basically part of his gimmick, and he's absolutely brilliant at what he does. Get rid of Punk and put me down for Mox's Saturday Night Murder Hour.

Some fella who was mortal drunk in the row infront of me lost his bank card and I found it, leading him to turn around and shake my hand about 15 times when I was trying to watch the main event.

That's probably why Punk's driving service never answered the phone when he got off the plane.

  4. This has properly taken me by surprise and gut punched me today, and I'm feeling rather sad/upset. I remember watching the original FCW Wyatt Family stuff and being super excited about them coming to the main roster.

Always kept an eye on what Bray was doing, and even though it wasn't all hits, all the time, he was always super creative and intriguing.

    RIP Bray.

  5. Absolutely gutted, keep getting a bit choked up at my desk. Hard one to come to terms with, one of my absolute favourites growing up and I was always rooting for him to beat his personal problems and get the accolades he so rightfully deserved.

Which he eventually did, and it's good he got the last eight or nine years of his life to take in all of the love and respect from fans and colleagues alike. Just the coolest wrestler ever.

    RIP Scott/Razor.

  6. Surprisingly it's worked out well for me, probably one of the few. Usually Saturdays are best, same as everyone else. But I'm working today and tomorrow then off all next week, so I've lucked out and am gonna stay up to watch it tomorrow night.

It's only a one-off due to other events taking place this weekend isn't it? So the next one should be back to Saturday.

  7. Gutted and so sad to find out he passed this morning. Like others, I saw some of the posts on Instagram and then got that horrible, sinking feeling in my stomach.

I thought he was just suffering from a particularly nasty injury and would be back to whip the Dark Order into shape soon enough.

Honestly so sad, 41 is no age and he was just hitting his stride in AEW, seems like he was a fantastic guy and family man.

    RIP Jon Huber/Brodie Lee

  8. Even if he's just an on-screen character and won't be wrestling, I'm happy Sting is back on TV and hopefully it'll be a better wind down of his career than that WWE run was, which ended with him getting his neck fucked by that cretin Rollins, then wheeled out the door. He deserves better than that.

The end to the main event match I enjoyed, as even if it wasn't executed one hundred percent correctly, it brings a bit of that excitement and unpredictability back to wrestling, something that's been missing for a loooong time now.

And the fact that we've got The Jackyl involved, and he's gonna announce the comeback of The Truth Commission is even better!

  9. As soon as Hardy smacked his head and then they let the match continue, I just couldn't get back into the zone to enjoy the rest of the PPV. Before that, you had Darby getting powerbombed to the outside in a body bag, then the match after Hardy and Guevara you had Thunder Rosa nearly hitting her head on the steps. Ridiculous.

Why do they keep risking serious head/neck/brain injuries that can occur from these stupid stunts, potentially career and life threatening.

To be fair he just has the last name, he hasn’t based his character around him. Also I still own GG Allin tshirts, but that is just to be edgy.

By most accounts, ol' GG was a lovely lad behind the scenes, just when he got fucked up on drugs and laxatives and went out on stage he went mental. Also, I think in the later era, post-prison GG was just living up to the character in a way, he started beliving in his own hype and notoriety as that's what people came to expect of him, all the chat show appearances were for show, though I don't doubt for a moment that he wasn't a dickhead to some degree. He was the punk Jerry Sadowitz.
