I thought they missed a trick by not having McAfee as a surprise Rumble entrant, being eliminated quick, then sitting down to do commentary after that, rather than have him have his own televised entrance venue the Rumble actually started.

WWE 2k22 was recently added to the game catalogue for ps plus subscribers at the 'extra' tier, so I've been playing that.
Not bad at all, but it's the first wrestling game I've played for absolutely ages, so I'm enjoying it purely for that reason as much as any.

Some fans film all the entrances and finishes from PPVs, and you can get a good feel for how it felt in the arena from those. Here's one: (23:00 in for Cena). Seems loud!!

Xavier Woods and Tyler Breeze have started watching ECW from the start together on twitch on Mondays. It's really cool to see two current guys' jokes and comments on this old stuff, as well as 'talking shop', as it were. They're also predicting the finish of each match and awarding points based on how close they are.
I wonder how long it will be til WWE cotton on to what they're doing and put a stop to it, or steal the idea to put on their own version. Because it's tremendous fun. Breeze's reaction to Sandman originally being a surfer gimmick and that's why he's called The Sandman has been a particular highlight, Only thing is you have to catch it live, because they've restricted the VODs to subscribers. The last time they did this was 5pm on Monday, so maybe it will be a weekly thing.

Very much enjoyed Brock Lesnar saying "Who's this motherfucker?" when Keith Lee came out.

Kenny Omega turned up at the end of my favourite video game site's late night E3 coverage last night, and it was great.
Xavier Woods was on too, but they did a comedy bit with them repeatedly just missing each other, as they would not be allowed to be on screen together.

I think it would be fun to see Undisputed Era use the post-Mania power vacuum to dominate NXT for a while, hoover up all the belts by the end of the next Takeover, then use that as a natural mechanism for some new faces to rise up against them.
That depends on who and who isn't called up of course.

Jim Smallman is the head writer, and Shawn Michaels produces the shows, unless anything has recently changed.

Actually fairly accurate.
Vince sees WWE as this all-encompassing entertainment factory, the only thing anyone would need to watch.
He's come up to his writers while they're watching a Hollywood movie on a plane, and been annoyed that they're not watching Raw, or a PPV, or even something made by WWE Studios.
"Well if you want comedy, watch some Santino!", that kind of thing.

The Worlds Collide tournament filmed on Royal Rumble weekend is good fun. Some interesting matches thrown together between NXT, NXT UK and 205 guys. If you're looking to see every match, watch the battle royal and the next match on the Network, stop it there, watch the free part of it on wwe.com or Youtube, then go back to the Network.

Further to the chat about running out of ideas for the lovely Royal Rumble...
I think it's time to have only one Rumble match per year, alternate it between men and women.
Helps alleviate the problem of it getting tired, makes winning it a rarer, and therefore more special achievement.
Another option could be to make one of the Rumbles a shorter affair, maybe only 15 entrants, but spaced out 2.5 minutes. Seems contrived, but would change the entire feeling of the thing and force new ideas, and maybe better flow through the match.
