  1. Who remembers Virgin Media screwing up the live Wrestlemania broadcasts two years in a row? 24 cut out after Hornswoggle came running through the curtain (before the first match) and it only switched back on halfway through Flair vs HBK. If I recall rightly Wrestlemania 23 didn't come on until late either, we missed the opening 15 minutes of that one, Jeff Hardy's entrance being the first thing you saw.

Edit - just recalled that I got a full refund for the 24 show on that month's bill. Fuck you anyway Branson!

  2. Too Cool's debut promo, Sunday Night Heat - 13th June 1999

It's embarrassing for two grown men to act like this really, but credit to them, because they tweaked the act, added Rikishi and would be one of the most over acts on the whole roster in early to mid 2000. Also a testament to the time probably, back when we weren't all cynical cunts!

I know it's a bit of a slog, but I recommend watching the whole series. It's fucking criminal what's happened to him. He started it when his then partner Dekota Kei

  4. SummerSlam 98 on the Network is the same shitty quality as on the Tagged Classic version, but the Sunday Night Heat from the same night looks and sounds great. Seriously, what the hell happened to that SummerSlam master copy?!

  5. Ok so it isn't from actual chippy, but here's something for you. Fash, chops and mushy peas from the Black Lion in Brighton:

The fish was melt in your mouth, batter light and crispy, and the mushy peas - despite served in the form of jus - were very tasty. Only criticism goes to the "triple cooked" chips, which perhaps owing to some over frying were slightly dry in the middle. That said, they had a lovely thickness and crunch, which saved them from being below ** on the Meltzer scale.

Does anyone know why Vince didn't go for HHH v Rock at WM16? That whole card was the shits barring the okay ladder match. I'd have had the Austin run in happen at WM w Rock winning it. The whole thing was weird. Alongside 37948162282 tag and multi man matches

I think the logic was "it's Mania so cunts will buy anyway" so they held off the one on one match for Backlash to draw a big number the next month. It worked!

I there any proof of Kane being reasoned or sensible or at all intelligent? I remember people would say Val Venis was smart and had a lot of political nous but as soon as that curtain lifted it turns out he's a fucking head case aswell who wants to give shift staff boxes of disinfected dogshit for lunch and abolish weekends.

Bin it? Please take used oil to the local refuse centre. They have a big drum where it can be disposed of.

The politeness of this post means I'm definitely going to do this with my unwanted cooking oil next time.

Confession time. I’ve never deep fried anything before.
I’m going to make some deep fried tofu, I know how to prepare the tofu and I’ve got the vegetable oil and the wok. But what do I do with the oil afterwards? Is it good to reuse or do I dispose of it, and if so, how? I can’t just tip it down the sink!

I read somewhere that if you don't want to reuse cooking oil you can pour the used stuff into a wine bottle (or similar glass appendage) and bin it

  10. I hope I haven't missed an existing new thread for questions, if so feel free to delete. I've also tried to give us some continuity with the title. To get us rolling:

Who are the two South Asian looking lads shown in the final episode of the Last Ride documentary? They're sitting around a table at the Performance Centre with Undertaker and a load of big guys when Taker is "teaching", they also look like they could be brothers.

I presume they're trainees there but would love to know some names and details.
