  1. Finally got round to watching Ep2 last night.

Legend was fucking shit at that Edge game. He’s clearly looking for some panto work for the end of the year though and has overtaken Viper as top heel. He’s a shit heel as he just seems a knobhead, but he’s definitely the top heel.

Sabre is lovely though and if she sticks around could be this generation’s Jet, i.e. a lot of boys first favourite girl

I've only caught this segment on YouTube, so perhaps the rest of the show was bad, and that's why no one has posted about it - but this is surely the best women's feud AEW has ever done?

I loved everything about this - although I'm not entirely sure where they go with this. If Deonna was to win the title straight away, there's nothing much else for her to achieve in AEW...simply put, it feels too soon. But having her come in with such hype then lose to Toni doesn't seem quite right either. My guess is Storm wins, only to be confronted by Mercedes Mone - if that does happen, I really hope - win or lose (likely lose) - Toni gets the chance to main event the next AEW PPV against Mercedes. I'd like Storm to have a lengthy reign with the belt but whatever happens, she deserves to main event a PPV at some point. She's absolutely brilliant in this role.

You don’t shift 15,000 tickets building a show featuring genuine star Sting’s final ever match only to have Toni Storm and Sasha Banks’ Crocodile Tears go on last, unless I’ve misunderstood and you’re meaning Double or Nothing, in which my point is cheerfully withdrawn.
I’m probably in the minority, but I honestly hope they never bring Mone in. Nowhere near as good as she or her fans think she is

Wolf fleeces and hoodies with weed leaves on that you can smell from here. Gutted they didn't have the below in my size at TK Maxx earlier.

The one near me has had this Scarface Jacket in for quite some time.

I understand it’s by Supreme and would’ve been in triple figures when first on sale, but TK have got it for £40 last I saw.
Wasn’t until I saw the sleeve that I twigged that Nash’s MEM line about “this business has always been about three things…” was a Scarface reference.

    ”RESPEEECT!”

  4. For anybody willing to hear the full interview, below is the full 75 minutes, it’s also available in audio form in all the usual places.I haven’t watched it/listened to it and don’t know if I actually will, but it’s there for anyone that wants to

  5. Saltburn had it come out when I was at Uni would’ve been hailed as the greatest film ever by the people on my course. It’s well made and everything (although the aspect ratio was a bit jarring at first) but it’s proper nonsense

Wolf must be howling in his den at their attempt to reinvent the baddie.

They seemed to be trying to make Viper the top heel I episode one. Not sure I’d buy that but it’s still early days

The headliners haven't been announced yet. Gav who runs it hasn't been shy about the fact they struggled with ticket sales last year and I'd reckon Bleeding Through, Nails and Russian Circles will shift a fair few tickets but with any luck there'll be two big hitters above them. No idea who though. Suffocation possibly. I think Obituary are out as think Damnation clashes with one of those Carribean cruise festivals.

Obituary are in Germany that night on the Sepultura farewell tour and won’t be in the UK until that tour comes over the following week

Maybe one for the vinyl thread but thought it might be better suited here. Are there any record shops with good metal sections in South London, the closer to New Cross the better. We're playing there on Saturday and I want to do a bit of vinyl shopping is possible. Done a google but struggling to find any recommendations.

I don’t know about South London, but Crypt of the Wizard in Hackney will probably be worth visiting if you have the time

  9. Surely they’re not going to be allowed to show that scene from ‘Employee of the Month’

Edit: just realised I’ve misunderstood what they were doing. I’d read it as releasing every episode as 25 second posts, ie one post is the first 25secs, the next is the next 25secs and so on, meaning that each episode would be 100 posts or so released throughout the day.

    Fool Me Once

My wife wanted to watch this and like all Harlan Coben adaptations, it's absolute turgid dogshit, but in a enjoyable, trashy way. It's proper TV for thick people. You could easily skip an episode and not get lost as every character seems to recap the entire storyline during every conversation they have. At one point the main character gets a phone call and the name on the phone says "sister-in-law" because the viewer can't be trusted to remember names. She phones Joanna Lumley's character later on and her caller ID photo on her phone is her press shot for the show.

It's surprisingly watchable considering the writers lack of subtlety and hand holding throughout the whole thing.

My favourite bit of total bullshit was in an early episode where one of the young teen actors used Google Lens to identify someone in a photograph that 5 minutes earlier was hidden away in a card board box & only known to exist by a dead person.

It also seems to have a habit of trying to cover up its potholes by having a character exclaim “but it doesn’t make any sense”

I personally can't believe that Roman was on smackdown and did that final run in for the finish of the main event but didn't get in there and speak about the rock and what was said at all on raw. Not at all what we have seen from Roman his entire reign and personally it doesn't come off great with him ignoring it completely.

Anyways I will be absolutely watching raw live tonight with CM PUNK being there and on the show. I know it's been debated on here previously but do we reckon we will see a in ring outing from PUNK before he goes in for the rumble.

Personally he has blown me away with his work in AEW and I know he can still go in there but I dunno a small outing in a tag match before he goes in for the rumble would be good.

We shouldn’t but who knows these days.

Back in the pre-network days when selling the PPV was a bigger factor, Punk’s first match involvement for a decade gave a reason to buy the PPV. Now it’s all about network subs, where anyone that would likely want one already has one.

Im still very old minded when it comes to stuff like this though. His first on screen match for a decade shouldn’t be given away on free TV. I know he’s worked two House Show matches already, but on screen is where it matters, and a PPV show in a stadium matters even more, or at least it should

  12. I honestly don’t know what was worse, that Kiera Hogan ducked a clothesline that was 15ft away or that Skye Blue throws slaps from further away than John Cleese running in Monty Python and the Holy Grail

He has, but it’s the better part of 15 years since he last did
