  2. Silvevision was brilliant. DVD's that came super quick, were very reasonable and there was always plenty of offers. A shame theory ended their relationship with WWE. Silvervision is responsible for at least half the DVD's in my collection.

This. Silvervision was quality full stop.

Got lots of bargains on there.

  3. Renee Young has got a commentary gig on Superstars, every credit to her, I assume she is the first woman to actually be a commentator (full time anyway)? I know they had that minging Stephanie Wiand in the 90's but she was just a presenter from what I can remember

Only other female commentator I can remember is Lita doing commentary on Heat while she was injured.

Ivory & Jacqueline did some Heats too.

  4. As I was watching this tired, I had an odd vision of Lesnar opening the casket only to find himself in it. That could actually be pulled off if it were a backstage bit.

I'm sure they've done that with someone else before but i'm drawing a blank on who.

They did it during the Taker/Orton feud in 05.

  5. Bret makes a truly excellent point. But I can't agree with him at all. There was far more boners when Mickie James, Christy Hemme and Layla were knocking about.

Also, Trish, Lita, Stacy and Torrie- and the first two could wrestle better than any of the current lot as well as fulfilling the all-important boner criteria.

Yea agree 100% with those 4 in particular.

Don't think the current roster matches up at all in looks or wrestling ability, not even close.

Layla is still on the roster btw, she returned on Main Event last week.

  6. I haven't liked the idea of a Shield Triple Threat match, but could see them being in this Battle Royal. Reigns to eliminate Ambrose the win then do the proper breakup on RAW the next night. Plus its another point for Reigns' list of achievements to go alongside his Royal Rumble eliminations record

That would be awful, has to be a triple threat match, not much interest in anything else.

Only other possible match would be Reigns vs Ambrose with Rollins as ref but triple threat makes much more sense.

  7. Which is hardly ever through his whole 'career'.

WWE's own fault if there is nobody fresh for Bryan to work with, lot of shit on the roster.

Except the times he had those main events runs of course. Still swimming to work to this day after all the tears shed over Mark Henry showing how fucking class he is.

Some people have this weird hatred towards Mark Henry. I have no idea why. If he wasn't quite good, its not like he'd ever enter my mind. I get the Batista hate. But Mark Henry? He's like the nicest bloke in the world. And puts a shift in both on the mic and in the ring, for someone of his size. People really need to get over it and give him a bit of credit.

I don't think he does put in a shift in the ring, he's been paid a lot of money since his debut & been very injury prone, others would have been released years ago because of this.

It took him until 2003 to actually look half decent when he was with Teddy Long.

WWE have started pushing him several times throughout his career & then he gets injured AGAIN, never understood the love for Henry & never will.

Why should i give him credit? for being paid a fortune to be injured or in developmental the majority of his career?

  8. There is also Wyatt for Bryan to work with. Mark Henry would also be fresh if he isn't injured. I suppose you could also say Christian, but that would seem like curtain jerking stuff. Also Cena and Bryan only had one match, and this time the roles would be switched around giving it a new dynamic

Which is hardly ever through his whole 'career'.

WWE's own fault if there is nobody fresh for Bryan to work with, lot of shit on the roster.

  9. Interesting to hear him talk about his lack of imagination for booking and just letting them write for him. If he'd used his position a bit more and forced them to change some of the cheesy shit they've written for him, he could have been far more popular with a wider set of the audience but he doesn't seem interested in rocking the boat. I quite admire that.

That vid says otherwise & that's just 1 example.

Dysktra, Tarver, Riley, Reks, Mickie, Carlito, Maria & Chavo have said otherwise too.

Those are the only ones with the guts to tell the real story, others are scared to say anything cos if they do they worry that WWE won't rehire them.

  10. So, are they just pretending that The Wyatt Family didn't cost Cena the match at the Royal Rumble then?

That match was meant to be a lock for WM, no idea why nothing is happening with it atm.

Seems weird to just start it up again after EC which is likely to happen.

  11. Watching that period back recently there are some bizarre double standards. They did the story where Chaz was beating up his wife, she'd turn up to Raw with bruises and Chaz was getting arrested and it was all treated rather seriously. Then on the exact same show you'd have Jeff Jarrett putting the make-up lady in a Figure Four Leg Lock and smacking Chyna over the head with a frying pan. Madness.

Just to play devil's advocate, could it not be argued that the difference (in kayfabe, of course) was that Chaz' wife wasn't an employee of the WWF and therefore off limits?

She was caught getting off with Val Venis, that's why Chaz started beating her.

He didn't beat her, he shouted at her & left her so she pretended that he beat her.

Thrasher revealed on GTV that she was wearing false make up to make it look like she had a black eye.
