I can't see this being a big deal, sadly. Yes, it paints Vince and his cohorts as scumbags, which we all knew, but it'll be too easy for them to spin this with "it was consensual"/"she took the money"/"she signed the NDA"/etc. It'll be a brief scandal in the wrestling press, an even briefer one in the mainstream. Unless the case determines rape or abuse was committed, infidelity and misogyny aren't technically illegal.
It’s not the infidelity and misogyny that are being investigated. It’s using company money to pay the woman off. That’s a massive deal.

I watch NXT Lvl Up and the 2 weeks old Main Event on the Network most weeks. Raw, NXT and Smackdown I will watch YouTube highlights most weeks, but not every week. PPVs/NXT specials I will always attempt to watch live, but rarely manage it and will only go back and watch what I missed if it was something I was specifically looking forward to. Mania and Rumble being exceptions where I will make the effort to watch the whole thing. I think the last time I watched a full episode of Raw or Smackdown, outside of being in attendance, was 2015.
I watch AEW occasionally, certainly not every week and probably not even most weeks, but once a month maybe I'll watch an episode of Dynamite or Rampage. I've ordered 1 or 2 PPVs.
I'll watch a bit of other promotions on YouTube once in a while - Impact, MLW, other indies.
Going live to shows though I'm still as into as I ever was, including WWE. Luckily, via Wrestlemania week, I was able to attend GCW, Impact, New Japan, MLW and AAA shows (and others) live this year. Hopefully seeing an AEW show live is something that will happen soon.

It was better than the Cody Rhodes episode.
I just tried listening to the first episode of Foley's podcast. It's good, but just way too long. I've given up with over an hour left.

Me neither. They didn't do any PPVs at all in Las Vegas between 2008 and 2016.
You are thinking of the Thomas & Mack Center though, I assume.

Seems odd to choose MGM when there's the T-Mobile arena and the other one just off the strip (used for MITB 2011) nearby. Perhaps it's a contract thing or MGM are giving them a cushy deal if it's not due to other bookings.
That was in Chicago.

Sounds like there's been a bomb threat at the Money in the Bank venue.
Thought it was a mad idea doing it in a stadium to begin with. You'd think with all the market research they do, they'd know the same fans that would go to a stadium show for Summerslam are the same ones that go to Wrestlemania. Expecting them to do it for Money in the Bank too is nutty. They'd never get more than 20,000 locals to go to Money in the Bank.

i dont think 'dynamic' pricing is in play here. If you are getting cheap tickets in a section where other tickets are more expensive, you likely have limited view from the seat.
A mate of mine has front of lower tier seats and paid a whack for them. Tickets at the back of the same section are half the price, likely because your view is obscured by the tier above hanging over you.
It's exactly what it is. It's what they always do for major events like this, they even explain it on their website - "just like flights and hotels". It happens every Wrestlemania. The tickets I got within 5 minutes of them going on sale were £112, seats in the exact same row are now £321. Give it a week and if no-one has bought them they'll be £112 again.
-
That’s Ticketmaster for you. “Dynamic” pricing. If people buy tickets they put the price up. If people stop buying them they put the price down. How it’s legal is beyond belief.
-
I got L25, which seemed the best choice of price/quality comparison.
Floor seats don't interest me and the next section up wasn't much cheaper.

I think 3pm is when the pre-event stuff will be as that's what's being sold at the moment.
-
I guess if people really don't want to stay overnight in Cardiff, there's a coach at 11,40pm and another one at 3am.

Yeh plenty better reasons to dislike. If people are willing to pay that, that's their problem isn't it?
For me in his HOF speech when the said the best thing about meeting his wife was that she introduced him to Jesus Christ - I just thought what a twat. Bit of an insult to your children isn't it.

Yeh I didn't finish the Austin interview, was really dull. That interview to me just reminded me that the buzz around Cody at the moment is temporary and we'll all remember why we were bored crazy by him before he became Stardust pretty soon. By soon I predict next Monday at about 10pm eastern time.

Clash at the Castle.
May 20th tickets go on sale.

I got to see him wrestle live twice over Mania weekend. Once at MLW and once at AAA. He was lots of fun.

I think that is the case as when One Night Only was first put on the Network it was the USA version with a couple of matches missing. Eventually they replaced it with the full version.
The VHS I had was certainly complete, even had the Free For All on it.

For reasons unknown when I went to One Night Only I left a tape running on Box Office so when I got home I could "watch" the snow and try and remember the matches and imagine what was happening while listening to the commentary.
At least you could do that. I had cable in 1997 and even though my Dad was willing to pay for ONO, our cable company weren't showing it, I don't think they had PPV technology in place. I remember my Dad saying we could get Sky Movies for a month to make up for it.
I have a memory of the TV listing mag saying that One Night Only was going to be shown on Sky Sports around 2 months later, which I'd still not seen by that point, but it never was. I did get the VHS soon after that though.

Some wrestling fans are odd balls aren’t they? On the train after Raw, overheard a guy saying this to someone: “well they would do Wrestlemania here at the arena, but they do it at the stadium because there’s 50,000 more seats”
No shit pal.

Well I’ve arrived in Dallas. When the passport inspector asked me who I’m looking forward to seeing most I said Brock Lesnar before thinking about it, which was interesting. His response was “everyone always says Lesnar”

Yeah - I'm finding it interesting hearing about local marketing like this which isn't limited to a poster in local chippies and a Facebook page. 100 tickets shifted with 6 weeks to go isn't sounding bad at all - and I'm willing to bet that it'll be a first time for a lot of them.
How many more now with one week to go though? Good luck, I went to the first show and yes it wasn't brilliant, but it certainly wasn't terrible.
-
I suspect part of it might be to get as many people on the show as possible as it's their first show outside of the PC in front of a proper crowd in 2 years.

Most of the roster are meant to be free agents by now. There were very few that went past the April(?) cut off. Don't think any were picked up as part of the sale.
I don't think Gresham's appearance will be that big an issue. He's been on a couple of shows now and they've put the title on him.
Bit more curious if Swerve Strickland will appear on the network. Unless it's already been uplodaded before becoming #AllElite.
Swerve's last Progress match was on the WWE Network, but that was a few days before he signed with AEW. His next appearance for Progress most likely won't be on the Network.

I think Vince and Johnny Ace might be problematic, lads.

Sounds like a way of showing who's still in charge of the creative output.
