  2. All I could think of during Sheamus' match was that it felt like a real life version of Randy Marsh vs Batdad at the kids baseball in South Park.

2 big guys in their pants having a punch up after being on the beers all day.

I know he's been off with a serious injury but if he's coming back in that shape, he probably should have kept the vest, braces and bottoms.

As the father of a 14yo who is bang into this sort of shit, I'm absolutely going to have to go this.

Just hoping there is nice food and somewhere for me to sit.

I guarantee this will be the oldest I've ever felt at a gig.

With that line up sitting down will only ever inevitably lead to falling asleep to lo-fi beats so I send you my best wishes.

Tempted to go see Pierce The Veil Friday but I both have a 10am start Saturday morning and I'm finding going to gigs by myself rubbish recently when they involve travel and the likes.

  5. There's way too many posts to trail through, but I actually loved Irvin getting emotional over the weekend. It really didn't seem forced to me and played off as genuine, she seems like a fan, she seems like she is genuinely close to a lot of the wrestlers.

Michael Cole getting emotional talking about how long he's known Cody and how much he loves wrestling is up there too.

Honestly it was overall a bloody brilliant weekend of moments and I'm excited to see RAW tonight and honestly I didn't feel that way 12 months ago after last year's WrestleMania.

  7. I'll get started on that from the PLE onwards then. NXT is a favourite of mine just because its that rise and shine of newer, future talent so it'll be fun to actually chat about it as none of my friend group really are into their wrestling anymore.

  8. I'm pretty sure they're gonna turn Willow heel on Mercedes, with TK thinking he needs to have his big, very expensive signing be the face of the women's division on TV, both figurative and literal.

Not saying its the right decision at all because its absolutely not, but the way they're booking some aspects at the moment it's like Stokely turning her over to the evil side to stop Mone feels like a possible outcome.

  9. I came into post last week after Ridge Holland's "retirement" to see where people thought the angle was going but saw there had hardly been any chat for time, took me a while to even find the thread.

I watch NXT on the weekly but don't thknk show reviews from me would add any viewers from the forum to the show the way other much more articulate posters could.

The North American title match at the next PLE has all the makings of three huge lads leathering each other though so I'd recommend checking that out if you've a spare 20 or so after the event happens.

  13. Enjoyed that, if only because it made me question actually what some of my favourites actually are.

Had to leave how many forum members I've met blank as I'm usually too merry at festivals, wrestling shows to actually remember after.

  15. Shawn's age is wrong surely?

It is interesting that the "New Generation" stars final matches tended to be a big showcase whereas the guys at their peak in the 80s would work just about anywhere for a paycheck.

I guess its an indication of the money that came through in the 90s compared to that which wasn't as readily available in the 70s and 80s.

Fair enough, glad you're staying with us. Just to be clear: everyone's allowed to make their picks on desktop too, which is what I'm gonna do right now...

  17. Came into post about Dave Myers but seen it has just had a post.

He seemed to be doing as well as he could with the current TV series so its come as a shock, obviously theres time between filming and transmission but he didn't look unwell I guess. Just kinda glad he got to do one final thing with him and Simon for both of them really.

  18. Sorry.

Changed phone last week and only was able to get hold of my old email Sunday to reset password. By that point it was late so couldn't get any results in.

    Full service will be resumed.

A hero for us at Celtic as well. Speaking of which, after today's tedious display I once again repeat my offer to you Bacon - Will accept one Angelos Postecoglou for one Brendan Rodgers.

I always wonder why Brendan didn't watch Neil Lennon come back and tarnish his legacy with the club and go "I'll give this one a miss". The club has been, by its own standards awful this season and its depressing when we make so much money from transfers and lose key players for the scraps that have been bought in.

Losing the title and the prospect of not getting a European group stage at any level if we continue to choke will mean early doors for him next season but if the rot continues, I really just want him out by the summer.

Yeah, imagine that show will be pretty rowdy. The Y Plas room in Uni is a quality venue too.

Yeah I either need to hope my disability card turns up before Tuesday ideally so that I can sort out access viewing, or just accept that I'm either standing at the back or sides.

Will be fantastic to see a lively crowd in Wales though, last few shows I've done there the numbers haven't been great and its felt like it could have had more oomph.

  21. Decided to get myself a resale ticket for The Blackout in Cardiff Thursday rather than seeing them in Birmingham.

Just feels like it'd be a more special show back in Wales after being away for so long.

Genuinely super excited to see them. While I've been a fan since the days I was slightly shorter and much less of a gut, I always figured I'd missed the chance seeing them live after finally feeling comfortable enough going to gigs again, so getting to see them at Download last year and now at Cardiff this week is ace.

  22. Week 28 fixtures

    Premier League

    Burnley 0-4 Arsenal
    Fulham 1-2 Aston Villa
    Newcastle United 1-0 Bournemouth
Nottingham Forest 1-0 West Ham United
    Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 Wolverhampton Wanderers
    Manchester City 3-1 Chelsea (17:30)
Sheffield United 1-4 Brighton & Hove Albion (Sunday 14:00)
Luton Town 1-0 Manchester United (Sunday 16:30)

    German Bundesliga
    Wolfsburg 0-3 Borussia Dortmund (14:30)
Bochum  0-3 Bayern Munich (Sunday 16:30)

  23. Absolutely loved last night, Mayday Parade will always be that band for me and enjoyed it so much it made me decide to jiggle some holiday space around and book myself a reticket for The Blackout in Cardiff next Thursday as I think the atmosphere will be better than the Birmingham gig.

Then essentially festival season starts for me so it's a good but busy few months coming up.

Lorna Thomas of Skinny Lister draws my eye in the same way Louise Wener did - pretty, but something about her just rings every damn bell and I don't know what it is.

The fact the band is always mad levels of fun, drinking moonshine and having a laugh really adds to her "isn't she lovely" vibe.
