Racking my brain over this and while 1991 booking had some great moments, it's also really weird. Jake and Undertaker were feuding with Warrior but Warrior gets put into the Match Made in Hell even though he and Slaughter never had beef after the Rumble. Jake gets put with Savage while Taker gets put with Hogan at Survivor Series. It's really interesting where Warrior ends up after SummerSlam.
Also, Jake moaning about his fortune post SummerSlam is funny considering his feud with Savage is probably the catalyst for WCW and AAA to get in touch post WWF
It's possible Vince shot the Macho Man wedding reception angle becuase he fired Warrior and plans changed for Jake. Then again I do remember seeing Jake not being allowed into Randy's Bachelor party on Prime Time so maybe he was set to feud with Randy all along anyway?

The idea that Jake had money in his fist is the biggest myth here.
Jake is a bullshiter. Jake and Warrior toured Germany together in 1993 and were in the WWF together in 1996 so that Hall of Fame wasn't even the first time they saw each other after Warrior "screwed" Jake by getting himself fired and not losing the belt to Jake after Summerslam 91 even though Warrior had already lost the belt 8 months earlier to Slaughter at the Rumble

I've really fell in love with old grumpy Bret Hart. Watch some of his stuff on those Starrcasts and shoots. His humour is so dry.
Me too! I fucking love moaning Bret! He always comes out with amazing quotes on those shoots. He is gold with a live mic and an audience. I'm so glad he is like this

Does anyone know if the Steve Austin A&E documentary be shown in the UK?

If we're discussing the same guy, I've seen him frequently referred to as "Faith No More Guy" due to his resemblance to their guitarist.
I believe he binned off wrestling years ago.
That's him!

Vladimir is the true and only superfan. He didn't go to the shows to get noticed, he was just having a blast. It actually made the events he was at feel special if you spotted him and it wasnt too hard as he'd be near the front somewhere.
Who remembers that bearded guy with long hair? Used to look abit between a hobo Diesel / Mick Foley

Yeah I remember Bret and Shawn having a historic first all white male Mania main event that they were both hugely proud of.
So everytime there's a first anything it's fine to cry, hug and break character? I'd much rather they stick to the storyline and save the congratulations at the back. Its meant to be for a championship title and its the main event

Lovely stuff here from Sasha as well, being made up for what's happening in the ring.
Shouldn't she be fuming? Whats the point in having championships belts if you dont give a fuck that you lost it? Imagine when Bret lost to Shawn at Wrestlemania 12 he started rolling around ringside enjoying Shawn's celebration in the ring

I remember the time a Wrestlemania main event was the match of the card and went on last. All the promotion went into that match. All the spotlight was on these 2 involved. These days all matches on the show include mid card guys and they throw anyone last. There is no Wrestlemania main event anymore, its just you might get lucky your match might go on last

They've got most of the wrestlers that feature on the card telling fans to grab their tickets on twitter with links to Ticketmaster. I bet Green Shirt Guy has tickets for both nights.
I dont think they've ever done that before. Just shows how low wrestling has fallen. I know fans have mixed emotions about going to the show becuase of their safety but I do reckon in any other time in the past they would not have had a problem selling out their limited seats for Wrestlemania

Too Cool were megastars for a short period of time. I think it gets lost because of the focus on the the ladder boys, but TC were probably more popular than any of them for a brief spell.
I agree Too Cool were up there in popularity. After The Rock and Mankind I would say Too Cool with Rikishi were the fan favourites in early to mid 2000. Crowds went nuts for them! That team were definitly more popular than the 3 ladder match teams during that time

I remember at one of the house shows in the UK sometime in 2004, Shelton Benjamin beat Randy Orton for the IC title. I think they then either restarted the match or the decision was reversed

I reckon Earthquake could have worked. I would have shaven his hair completely and kept just the beard. Give him something else to wear maybe something like what Bam Bam Bigelow wore. He may not have been main eventing at that time but I would have enjoyed watching Earthquake on tv in 2001. He was the first mega bad guy I watched as a kid when he squashed Hulk

Rick Martel hasn't done a wrestling convention in America for over 10 years now. He gets asked all the time as his demand is high and refuses everytime so I can see him turning down WWE for Hall of Fame too
-
Could be Batista. He's Hall of Fame worthy as he's going in this year
-
It will most likely be Big Show himself. Then I can see another "Hall of Fame worthy" guy show up during the segment and feud with Big Show
-
I reckon Big show would have jumped ship much earlier in his career if there was another mainstream promotion with money on a mainstream TV channel in the last 15 years
-
It's actually quite crazy to think that Big Show is in AEW now. I reckon he will enjoy AEW more as there's more familiar faces from his era in the current AEW roster than in the current WWE one as guys like Billy Gunn, Jericho, Goldust, Jim Ross, Tazz, Sting are there. Not many guys from his day are left in WWE

Razor Ramon for me

Godfather has said he was meant to go to WCW and join the nWo but WCW got Virgil for much cheaper which cancelled Godfather's deal
-
I think Vince will sell his company sooner than later. He's enjoying his last few big deals and I can see him cashing out. Kind of like that promo he did 20 years ago about killing his own creation. I think he's been killing it slowly on purpose but not completly so that their is some value left when its time to sell

Yep, Survivor Series 96 and Royal Rumble 97 were not live. Between September 96 and February 97 Sky went through a weird phase when all WWF programming was 2 weeks behind the US for some reason.
I wish we got the US version of Shotgun Saturday night during that time
-
Survivor Series 94 was live and so was Royal Rumble 95, Wrestlemania 11, KOR 95 and Survivor Series 95. Everything remained live till Survivor Series 96

I'd love to know who made the call on using 'Big Time.' It's such an out there choice and so unlike them.
I think they may have come up with the slogan "Big Time" for that year and maybe looked for songs with that in its title. I doubt they thought of the song first and slogan after.
