May 25th is a Monday isn't it?
Â
Edit: Never mind. It's Bank Holiday Monday
-
I often get the train back to Liverpool and I've never had a problem and never had to leave early
-
I'm fucking delighted to see Low Ki. Yes he's got a bad attitude and has been sacked off by pretty much every company he's ever worked for, but in 2005 he was my favourite indy guy and I've never seen him live.
Â
Vader on the other hand can piss off. I got my photo with him (sitting down obviously) and saw his stiff strikes in the corner, but the crap he produced against Mastiff has still left a bad taste in my mouth. I assume he's coming as a package with the other guys doing WXW the next night and PCW couldn't get out of it. In which case, have him come out and Vader Bomb Bubblegum or something so no one gets their hopes up.
Â
I wonder if this means we're getting Shane Douglas too, since he's at WXW as well.
Â
Edit
Â
Don't know what you're on about Stinky Dad!

The first time I read that I thought it was Dave Rayne vs Vader. Glad I was mistaken and it's actually Mastiff vs Vader. That could be an absolute war. Mastiff proved this weekend that he's just as good against a big man as he is against smaller guys and they don't come much bigger than Vader!
Â
I was hoping to see Vader absolutely squash someone too (Bubblegum maybe?) so hopefully there's still a chance to see that before or after the match.

Kevin Steen bt Kris Travis, Joey Hayes and Dean Allmark
Great opener, all worked well. I think Steen pinned Trav
Â
Keith Myatt bt Johnny Kidd
Kidd was initially announced as the winner, but it was Myatt who got the pin
Â
Team Single bt Mastiff, Holly and D'Lo
I enjoyed this. D'Lo turned on Holly setting up the singles match this afternoon. Well, he pulled Bubblegum down from the Alabama Slam and tried for his own finish. They argued, which led to the pin
Â
April Davids bt Awesome Kong
I didn't really enjoy this match but Kong looked good. Bubblegum brought chocs and flowers for Kong which distracted her for a roll up I think
Â
Uhaa Nation bt El Ligero
Nation looked impressive but it's clear how green he is. Ligs made him look great
Â
Legion of Boom bt Danny Hope & Mad Man Manson
Not really my thing. I laughed in places but I'm not the biggest Danny Hope fan
Â
Lionheart bt Noam Dar after Doug Williams was a no show
After the match Joey Hayes tried to cash in the Money in the Bank. Lionheart superkicked the ref so it didn't happen. I thought this was a great angle
Â
Jushin Thunder Liger bt Martin Kirby
Liger brought his working boots. He finished Kirby with a super brainbuster from the top rope which I thought killed Kirby.
Â
I really enjoyed the show and it was great to be back in Lava or whatever it's called now
-
Just about to set off for this, fortunately it's one of the shortest journeys I do for wrestling. I'm looking forward to Liger and Trav's three matches the most.
-
I'm just about to watch the new episode. I wondered if they'd do anything like that.
Â
While I'm here:
Â
Lisa walks in on Marge squeezing ketchup packets into a bottle.
Â
Lisa: "Mom, what are you doing?"
Â
Marge: "This is how I save money on ketchup and mustard."
Â
Lisa: "Do you do it with relish?"
Â
Marge: "No, I'm kinda embarrassed about it."

I only followed Dana on Twitter today to get tickets for tomorrow and he tweaked Karma's a bitch!
They are fucked for the ppv it seems

So Tito is injured!

Thanks so much for compiling this list LaGoosh, it has been a real treat to read over the last couple of weeks. I love The Wire and The Sopranos, so however this plays out, I've been happy to hear everyone's opinions of various shows on here. I do really think that Breaking Bad will hold up well on here eventually, but I'm backing The Sopranos for number one now. Either way, there's a few shows that I will definitely be trying out as a result of this thread, so I will be in your debt for a long while.
-
Dexter would be twice the show if it was half the length. If they had 12 episode-seasons everything would be more compact and there'd be less room for stalling the discovery of the bad guy and less room for Deb to whine all over the place dropping C-bombs.
Â
The seasons are 12 episodes a year! Although some years it feels like there are many more than that.

Add me to the list of people who was over the moon to witness Jay winning the title live. And that's after me slagging off the idea the Briscoe was in the main event when it was first announced.
Â
Adam Cole and BJ Whitmer were already announced as the next two challengers as Steen hadn't beaten them in singles matches yet and ROH were throwing everything they could at getting the title away from SCUM. Announcing the matches in advance helped to hide the title change last week but left Jay with a weaker start to his run than needed.
Â
I really hope that Elgin wins the title at the next New York show like Gadge said, as by pure luck I'm in the area that weekend too and managed to pick up a ticket at the last show, so it would be great to see Elgin win the big one. It's a long time for him to wait for his match when he's the current number one contender though.
Â
It also looks like Manhatten Mayhem V is just a live event, rather than an iPPV. I know Eddie Edwards won the title at a live show, but generally they reserve the big matches for iPPVs, so I'm not holding my breath. As long as they don't put Jay Briscoe vs Matt Hardy in the main event I'm fine with not seeing another title change live.
-
It depends on who's involved. If it was a straight tag match I'd say no, as there's mainly just midcarders left without matches, but if it's an 8 man war with some sort of stipulation I'd be happy. The SCUM angle got quite interesting at the last show with the new additions and Steen's relation to it all.
Â
Personally I'd have reDRagon vs American Wolves in the main event since the teams had a motn last time in New York and its for the titles this time.
-
Mark is getting a title shot at the show before. Jay is injured and has been pulled from that show but is still booked for his title match at the ippv.
Â
There's a chance that the title match won't be the main event as they've said they're planning a SCUM vs ROH tag match but it hasn't been announced yet
-
Just finished watching the 11th Anniversary and I really enjoyed it too. That's the last 6 shows in a row I've seen and I have to say that things seems to have improved a lot. This is the most ROH I've seen since the end of 2008 and I'm looking forward to Supercard of Honor despite Jay Briscoe getting the title match.
