The street fight last week was everything I dislike about pro wrestling. Four people awkwardly moving from set piece to set piece, little to no realism, dangerous spots that aren't even the finish of the match, terrible selling and goofy facial expressions ...

And all on a B show for a feud that has basically no heat or history behind it.

Horrible news. @Supremo's post above summarises my thoughts perfectly. My enjoyment of pro wrestling can be broken up into two eras really, firstly as a young kid watching WWF and then later having discovered indies around the time ROH started. Recently getting back into it via AEW, I was amazed to see The Briscoes still going and still putting on amazing matches. In a funny sort of way they've been a constant throughout my adult life as a wrestling fan and I was just getting excited by the idea that I'd be watching them again in the new ROH and possibly even in AEW. Gutted.

I'm sure Hangman has probably just been on a reduced training plan whilst recovering and he'll back to his former shape in time. Just stood out to me as a small thing.

I noticed this. I noticed the backs of Adam Cole's hands. I noticed MJF's ears. All the same colour as a Wotsit from the bottom of the packet.

Also, without trying to sound like a dick, I thought Hangman looked a little out of shape. Don't get me wrong, I loved the match and I'm not saying he's in bad nick, just not quite as lean as before his injury.

Just watched Ospreay \ Omega. The first NJPW match I've ever seen outside of Forbidden Door. Fucking loved it ... absolutely brilliant stuff, with levels of realism that I've rarely seen in 30+ years of watching pro wrestling. How anybody can struggle to enjoy something like that is beyond me.

Yeah, could do without the excessive bad language but there's some really believable emotion there.

I enjoy FTR and Dax's singles matches. I find it weird that nothing is made of the fact that Dax is always preferred in singles matches over Cash, though. Regardless of it being the case that Dax is a much better singles wrestler (from what I've seen, he isn't), it just shits all over Cash and makes FTR look worse as a tag team to me. It also doesn't make sense from a storyline perspective that Cash wouldn't be put out at all by it.

Those kits tend to hang around on the shelf a while and that doesn't do a lot of favours for the yeast. Often by simply upgrading to something a little better, you can get a much nicer result at the end.

Yeah, completely agree. They always look great in the build up ... that build up just doesn't come to anything. Miro is the same. I feel like I've seen Miro get started and go nowhere about 1000 times.

What the hell are they playing at keeping the women's match at Full Gear for the interim title? Does anyone even remember Thunder Rosa as champion at this point? Nonsense. The best thing they can do is switch it for the full title and get it on Hayter.

I'd never seen Saraya before she appeared on AEW and I know very little about her. She looks physically so frail that it's just difficult to watch her. It genuinely makes me uneasy to the point that I don't really even focus on what she's saying or why she's saying it.

I'd never seen Spears doing the 10 gimmick, so was convinced Dark Order 10 was coming out when FTR made the 10 reference.

Was hard to follow the emotion fully without subtitles or English dubbing. Personally I couldn't get past the visual of a board full of upturned knives. It's hard to suspend your disbelief and get into a wrestling match when someone essentially has a legit deadly weapon at their disposal. My brain can't compute any way in which a weapon like that could be used in a wrestling match without immediate fatal consequences. Each to their own though.

Yeah. I know I'm in the minority here, but that's the feeling I always have towards him. He's a massive nerd like the rest of us and he's getting to do what he loves. I just find that really endearing to see. Admittedly I don't really pay attention to anything he does beyond appearances on AEW shows and the presser stuff. Maybe he's a right dickhead if you follow him beyond that.

Prioritising your own entertainment at the expense of a much larger group of people, in a public forum, is just a shitty way to act in my opinion. Fortunately, having made my point, it's easy enough to just ignore or mute it and focus on people that make worthwhile posts.

Had exactly the same thought when I saw the reaction. I've always thought that perhaps when you're sitting there that close to the action it never stops being a shock. Dunno. I'm probably being generous ... as a person watching at home it just comes over as acted now.
