My one main gripe with Rogan is he does tend to call the fight how he wants to see it. If his lesser favoured fighter is connecting 5 times with a jab he stays silent and then as soon as the fighter who he wants to win finally connects you can almost guarantee a reaction along the lines of "OH HE'S HURT HIM" then will spend the rest of the round talking about how the other guy is hurt and compromised.

He's been like that for as long as I can remember.

  2. I've never really understood the love for Tony Ferguson. I've always considered him to be an overrated fighter with a lame personality.

Still, I really regret that the Khabib fight never happened. Not because I think Ferguson would have won or even been competitive, rather because it feels like the years of hype and arguments over the fight were all for nothing.

    What a waste.

  3. Perhaps Rogan and Goldberg needed one another. Goldberg just pisses about without Rogan around to keep him on the straight and narrow. While Rogan is perhaps a little too relaxed without Goldberg around to babysit.

As Wand also alluded to, it also doesn't help that the UFC have encouraged his OTT reactions by filming them and also placed DC beside him. It should have been obvious that the pair would try and out-do one another.

A big reason Naseem divided opinion was because of the arrogance and that flashy, cocky style. Anytime you get a guy clowning in the ring/cage you are gonna get a certain group of people wanting to see him get his comeuppance. Its the same reason MVP gets it in MMA, people just want to see that stuff backfire.

Both Khan and Naz have personality traits that understandably rub people the wrong way.

Still, a lot of the hate they receive is because they are Muslims.

It's a weird British thing that, isn't it? You'd virtually never see a Mexican cheering on a Brit or an American against a Mexican fighter. I always root for British fighters unless they're absolute scumbags. All part of the fun, innit?

Brits only support some of their own. Most of us got behind Bruno, Hatton and Joshua. Yet, for various reasons we never fully got behind Khan or Lennox Lewis.

Personally, I tend to support whoever I fancy the most.

It’s a tricky one because I can’t remember seeing much of Chandler’s BJJ defence. He’s never faced someone who’s as much of a threat off their back as Oliveira is anyway.

He defends well while in full mount. For example, Goiti Yamauchi couldn't get much going against him off his back.

    is he really doing darts?

Smith is the head of boxing at Sky, and i do like the guy, i just think he put himself in the booth because he's the boss.

On the Sky shows, i always feel their better announce team commentates the early fights, then they switch to the shitter 'A' team of Smith & Macklin for the main fights.

Aye. I assume he'll become a permanent fixture on the darts from now on.

Hopefully they will transfer Anna Woolhouse over as well.
