  1. I got a few;

    * I cannot say "Saphire" without a Dusty voice

    * I also climb ladders far too slowly

    * Getting from one side of the bed to the other is almost always done by taking an armdrag (from no one)

    * Many a door at work gets a flying shoulder block

    * The terms "Face/Heel turn" get used in every film or show where a character changes sides

    * Walking through any curtains requires an entrance pose on the other side

    * My cat suffers random chin locks from me on a regular basis, it can't just be me....

  2. Just bought Skyrim on deal of the week for 15 quid. Any tips before I start playing or should I just jump in? The only other one of these games iv'e played was oblivion.

    Yeah, quit your job and say goodbye to your family.

    This. Your real family aren't as good as the Dark Brotherhood, anyway.

    Agreed, one tip I would give tho is avoid the "I will just finish off this quest" mentality, Skyrim quests have a nasty habbit of lasting 30+ mins so if you have something else to do; stop, SAVE, turn off. The quests will still be there when you come back.

  3. Its no worse than Batman & Robin and people look at that now with some degree of fondness for its cheesyness

    No, no and NO! Judge Dredd is an ok film with some enjoyable moments "DOUBLE WHAMMY!", Batman & Robin was an abortion from an otherwise decent series. It belongs on the same shelf as Rocky 5 & Balboa, and we never need mention them again.

    BTW im really torn about getting DREDD, considering I liked the other version, would it be worth me borrowing this one before buying?

  4. Just started watching DOA. In the first 10 minutes there's a Holly Valance fresh from the shower action scene, which pretty much makes it the greatest film I've ever seen.

    I've watched all the Holly Valance bits on Mr Skin. Let me know if anything else good happens.

    There is a pretty sweet fight scene where Holly and some other lass who is very nice to look at basically beat the crap out of each other fightclub style in the rain...... what more could you want?

  5. Does anyone remember CLUE?

    Basically a film based on the popular board game that we know in this country as CLUEDO

    Starring;

    Tim Curry as The Butler. Eileen Brennan as Mrs. Peacock, Christopher Lloyd as Professor Plum, Michael McKean as Mr. Green, Martin Mull as Colonel Mustard, Lesley Ann Warren as Miss Scarlet, and Lee Ving as Mr. Boddy.

    Personally I love this film and am happy to watch it again and again, its so daft but then it is a comedy and if watched with the right frame of mind can be very funny.

  6. I have a list in my mind of stuff I want to read but alas, those Zombies need shooting and the books will still be there later;

    Finish reading;

    'A brief history of time' (when it stops hurting my head)

    'Walking the Golden Mile' William Regals autobiography

    Read;

    Shakespear's complete works

    The Bible and the Quran

    Stealing life cheating death, the Eddie Guererro story

    Peter pan

    The Flight of Dragons

    I started on the Harry Potter set but got 3/4 into the 1st book and got fed up.

  7. Tried to watch Wall.E yesterday but got 40 minutes in before turning it off. One of the most boring films I've seen in a long time. Definately the worst Pixar film I've seen. Shame really, I'd heard good things.

    Sky+'d it, gonna watch it either tonite or tomoz, been putting it off but the mrs recommends it.

  8. Just watched MEGAMIND, maybe im becoming more easily pleased but this is another awesome film IMO.

    Similar idea to 'Dispicable me' of having a super villain as the main character although id say the D-M is the better of the 2.

    Not much adult humour in this but then it is a kids film i guess, still well worth a look.

    * We had the whole screen to ourselves which was cool and it ment we could shout out random shit and not worry about annoying anyone.

  9. Finally caught Jackass 3D last night. Insanely good fun, but personally I preferred the second film overall for some reason. Still some great moments though, a fitting send off to a great franchise.

    Agreed awesome film, only one I caught at the cinema as it was 3D, the 2nd was overall probably better but this one is still worth the ticket, we cried at some of the stuff they got up to and I nearly had to make a run for it to throw up, good times!

  10. Day: Saturday

    Time: Evening

    Audience: The good lady and I

    Film: Scooby Doo

    Rating: 0.2 stars

    Comments: Shit. Scored 0.1 for the appearance of Scrappy Doo and Sarah Michelle Gellar's dress.

    How dare you?

    Granted its not a cult classic or a masterpiece of any kind, its still the 1st ever live action scooby doo movie which in itself deserves more than a 0.2 rating just for exsisting.

    I demand a re-review.

  11. How to train your Dragon, I loved it.

    Perhaps im getting to soft in my old age but im liking more films these days, it happened with Dispicable me and it happened with this.

    Initially the story was a bit 'REALLY?' but once you get over that and realise your watching a kids film its easy to get into.

    The Dragons are awesome esp the main one (it might be because it looks and acts just like my cat), the other characters are all good and interesting with one hell of a great cast line up doing the voices.

    Adults should rent this or buy it if you have kids as they will love it.

    Loved this. It came out around the same time as Avatar and I remember liking this one so much more. Recommended.

    Avatar was out last December, How To Train Your Dragon came out at the end of March this year( I took my fiance to the previews). They've been putting the DVD/Blu Ray release off until now for the Primary Gift Period (more commonly known as Christmas)

    Yeah, 'around the same time'. Four days, four months - it's all the same.

    Plus avatar was showing at the cinema for frikin ages! As long as people keep going to see it they keep showing it I guess.

  12. How to train your Dragon, I loved it.

  13. The worst date I can remember was at the beginning of term a few years. On the Friday beforehand I had pulled a nice wee Polish lassie who was just new in Glasgow (her English was better than mine, right enough) and my best mate had coincidentally shagged her friend, also from Poland, who she stayed with.

    So we agree to go on a retarded double-date on the Monday evening - they were big into Guy Ritchie films for whatever reason, so we went to see Rock N Rolla in the cinema. About 15 mins before we were due to meet them, we got off the bus and my mate whipped out a joint. I was a bit wary, but his insistent tone in "aw come on man, it's only one" was too persuasive.

    The weed he had turned out to be really strong, and we stood outside waiting for them pissing ourselves laughing. They arrived: we laughed the whole time in the queue, we laughed going to find our seats, we laughed through the trailers, we HOWLED with laughter when a trailer for Wall-E came on and my one did a cutesy wee Wall-E impression, and we sat through the entire film trying not to burst out in hysterics whilst hitting each other to try and get the other to do it.

    They weren't impressed, and we didn't see each other again. It wasn't a particularly bad date, but being with two stoned cabbages is probably not fun for the ladies.

    I love this story so much, it makes me want to try drugs............but drugs are bad.......m'kay!

    I got a couple; I was about 16 and I had been trying for years to get a neighbour to go out with me (a real 'girl next door' story), finally she agreed so I was over joyed, the problem stems from that I didnt understand the point of taking a girl to the cinema ISNT to watch the film, I was given a clue to this when she suggested a film she had already seen.

    We went to see South park: the movie and at the time i was a huge south park fan so I spent the entire film with my eyes locked on the screen and completely ignoring her, for all I know she could have left and came back before the end.

    For some reason she wasnt impressed and I didnt get a 2nd date......women!?

    I was working at Tesco and there was a Polish girl there who I always made a point of chatting with, she was super cute and the accent did it for me, eventually I got around to asking her out, instead she suggested I come round to hers for a coffee.

    I went round and found out that she rents a room in a house and to save money she shares both the room and a bed with another girl! "This is getting better and better" I thought to myself, we had a coffee and being the ho-bag that I am it didnt take long for the convo to turn racey, kissing followed but it didnt go further as I really liked this girl and wanted to go slow.

    The following day at work she was really off with me, I pestered her for a while to find out what was wrong to which she said "I didnt like how you were, you came on too strong", after picking my jaw up from the floor I asked why she didnt say anything at the time and why she carried on to which her reply was "I didnt wanna ruin the mood", WTF!!!

    It gets better; after explaining that I wanted to take things slow and if she was uncomfortable at any point she only has to say she agreed to another date, again she said to go around hers and we would watch a dvd and have a beer.

    I got round and this time all 3 of us sat on their bed watching V for Vendetta with polish subtitles, after a couple of beers again I made my move but constantly asking if she was ok, more kissing, all was grand and again I left before anything further happened. The next day she's off with me again, this time she's really pissed at me, saying im just like all men and only after one thing. Whilst trying to understand this psycho-bitch behaviour I noticed that her room mate (who also worked at tesco) was also cold towards me, its then that I remember that while I was kissing the first girl i was rubbing the leg of the 2nd girl, whoops!

  14. So we went to see 'Dispicable me' last night and regardless of it being a 'kid's film' I loved it, the writing and direction was perfect and I advise everyone to see it.

    I went expecting it to be good for a giggle and little more but it was full of emotion and good stuff, Im not too proud to admit I shed a tear at the end too.

    Anyone else wanna share the love?

  15. It's all just harmless fun really, I know Mr Gordon well enough to know this wont hurt his feelings, in fact im sure there's a small amount of pride taken from this. The fact that so many people have voted for him in anything im sure brings a smile.

    Also having worked with the guy fairly recently and watched his work, he may not be the greatest but he does have ability and can also engage the crowd. Yeah he's a bit sloppy and sometimes heavy handed but I would gladly work with the him anytime.

    Plus, at least he's not Ronin!

  16. I seriously doubt it will be Renfrew or Shame. Renfrew's an extremely solid worker, and Adam Shame spent the past year as TXW Heavyweight Champion before losing it in a match some fans called British MOTY -

    At the risk of standing alone in this opinion; that looked like the worst match ive ever seen ZSJ have anywhere, thats not small statement considering the level of the guy, it just looked a horrid mess.

    Just to be clear, I love ZSJ and I have attended many TXW shows and always had a good time and wish them great success.

  17. I'm going out with a girl tonight and I truly hope to bang her, I was trying to save my mojo up by not jerking off today or all day yesterday but I succumbed to temptation last night and as soon as I finished I cared less about my date tonight, I still haven't gotten over that feeling, I was so amped yesterday, now I don't care. I'm wondering if maybe having a wank but not finishing is the way to get my sex gauge (mmm Gauge) up to speed but it can be a dangerous game.

    You're such a classy guy!

    Im the opposite, if im meeting up with a girl I really like I prefer to "remove the urge" so when im with her I wont be thinking about dragging her into a bush at earliest opportunity. Im romantic like that.

    Also makes good dinner conversation;

    "So, did it take you long to get ready tonite?"

  18. Steven Hawkins - A brief history of time, holy crap its a migrane in a book. Makes me seem really smart to be able to quote Hawkins tho.

    Im told there are sequels but I may go through the Shakespear books next, ive been inspired to expand my understanding and better my mind, by watching Big bang theory.

    :laugh: I had a go at reading it a while back and my head began hurting so I gave up.

    Give it another go dude, my method is to read a few pages at a time or stop when he says something that blows my mind then take the rest of the day to come to terms with it. Its slow going but I feel the grey matter moving around up there!
