  1. Couple of questions;

Firstly, I was watching the ultimate insiders shoot with Russo last night. He takes a lot of credit in for pushing Vince McMahon to change his product that eventually leads into the attitude era. How influential was he? Is he taking to much credit in this shoot?

Secondly, when it comes to WWE and UFC PPV buy rates how do they factor in the amount of buys that come from bars that show the PPV

  2. How did they get the ring to collapse on Sunday night? I know they took the support away on one side but is there any more to it?

    So nobody knows then!?

Also, was the first ever babyface to babyface WWE Championship title change Bret dropping the belt to Shawn?

I would say the ring was "rigged", and to be honest thats about as much as i could tell you. It depends on the build of the WWE ring, as normally you have have support Iron bars around the outside that attach to the ring posts. Possibley a switch on the straps underneith the ring?

So not a full answer, other than it would of been "Rigged up".

Also wasnt Hogan/warrior the first ever real big babyface/babyface match ever?

I guess the call goes out to anyone on the UKFF who has set up a wrestling ring!

I forgot about Hogan/Warrior, thanks. Is it strange that we dont have more babyface vs. babyface matches?

  4. Add me to the devastated list. I've never been but always intended to one day, so to have not seen it in the flesh is a bit of a regret now. Like anybody with eyes, absolutely adore how it looks on TV too.

The last few shows from MSG haven't used it though have they? They have the normal ramp set up on the left.

The last shows there I remember are Royal Rumble 2008 and a Raw in November 2009, and they both used the little central entrance. Have they done any televised shows there since?

The 2009 raw was the last televised show at msg. They had the centre stage for that and for the rumble as you said. After the rumble they had at least one tv taping that used the normal stage. Just after mania 25 I believe.

  5. Has anybody got any images or information to what the newly refurbished Madison Square Garden looks like? Or what they've done to it?

One thing to know: Their is no longer a centre-court entrance, so no cool RR type set-up or stage.

Fucking hell... they've took the best part away. I hate the new PPV trons which are a variation of the RAW & SD tron

    Here you go buddy http://msgtransformation.com/EarthCam.aspx

I'll be there in just over a month!

Fair play its gone through a hell of a change. I will always prefer the old way it was set out but it may look better on the pay per view.

I am envious of you going to Survivor Series too. I would say your a jammy fucker but I can imagine its cost you a arm and a leg

I'm sure it will be worth every penny brother!

  7. Assuming you mean for TV, it would have been when they replaced Championship Wrestling and All-Star Wrestling with Superstars of Wrestling and Wrestling Challenge in late 1986. They switched from taping each show in the same (relatively small) venue with only the ring lit well to taping in different larger arenas round the country with the crowd fully lit.

Stuff taped at house shows (either when the show was broadcast on a local cable network like MSG, or when matches were recorded for Prime Time) remained with just the ring lit.

I'd never thought about it before, but the initial Saturday Night's Main Events were ring-lit only, while later ones were crowd-lit, so I wouldn't be surprised if they made the switch the same time as launching Superstars/Challenge.

Yeah I meant for TV. Thanks for that. I'm currently reading sex lies and headlocks, the author made a big deal of how much the WWF's production stepped up when they went on NBC with SNME.

Do you know the first PPV to have the crowd fully lit? I was watching Summerslam 1988 at the garden last night, that must have been the first fully lit show at MSG?

Also when did signs start appearing at WWE events?
