  1. Let's put all instances of ongoing Tory cunting in this thread instead of ballsing up the other threads with it. Mark Field!
  2. This is the Chinese poster for a recent My Neighbour Totoro cinema run. I love this one although it might be slightly lost on those who don't know the film (you should, it's brilliant). It's for the French release of the Aussie horror film Lost Weekend. More!
  3. I don't think I've lived anywhere where my neighbours weren't peculiar or scary in some way. But last weekend I got woken up because the bloke next door was paid a visit by what sounded like a loan shark. The latter was going on about wanting his money and the other guy was all like he would have it soon, basically like in the movies. "How can you not have it? You've been betting pure money at the bookies!" "How do you know that?" "None of your fucking business. Where is it?" Then he closed the door on him and then the loan shark smashed a bottle on his patio, which was a bit of a disappointment as I was expecting a kneecapping. Better class of loan sharks round here.
  4. Skills challenges! Also, pay attention to Landon Donovan's extraordinary barnet.
  5. There are so many now that they need their own thread. Unsurprisingly, considering the rumours that have been swirling around him for years, it looks like Louis CK is the next one in trouble. Just cancelled a premiere of his new film hours before it was due to take place ahead of a New York Times story on him. Let's face it, even if there weren't rumours, one look at him and you could pretty much believe right away that he'd wank in front of women he'd forced to watch him.
  6. Today - Vic Reeves in Manchester Piccadilly station sporting a grey beard and trying not to make eye contact with anyone.
  7. So I just finished watching If You Prefer A Milder Comedian.... and it's incredibly good in parts and generally excellent right the way through. It did make his TV series, which I also loved, seem a lot weaker in comparison but still tremendous. Nothing to do with the material, but the nature of his comedy - his style perhaps doesn't quite fit the half an hour time allotment. Then again, the same could be said of the great Dave Allen, but he got around it after a short time and also had to work with sketches that didn't quite live up to the stand-up segments. But yeah, I like him. I was 23 years old! And so on. Thoughts and that.
