  1. Maybe he got confused and thought he was watching Saw.
  2. Yeah, I think that *could* be good. The presence of Seth MacFarlane is troubling but Akiva Schaffer doesn't miss. Neeson's smart casting, too. I'm interested.
  3. He was on a motorbike driving really fast. And then he has no foot. What do you need a crash noise for?
  4. May 3rd in US cinemas means we'll get it when we're dead.
  5. I quite liked Afterlife and the new spooks were really good but there's no denying the last 20 minutes or so of it were embarrassing.
  6. Not another Mondeo, was it? (get better soon!)
  7. AEW fans were also tweeting Ice Cube calling his son a cunt. So maybe @tiger_rick has a point and we should become Amish.
  8. What was Colt Cabana doing before Punk turned up in AEW though? It wasn't like he was being pushed or anything. There's no evidence at all that Punk pushed for Cabana to be booted down to ROH, all the evidence is circumstantial m'lud. As for Kingston, there was at least a legitimate history and truth (from what we can gather) to what he was saying. Page was sticking up for a bloke who didn't need sticking up for. He certainly shouldn't have been airing that shit on TV - twice!
  9. French actress Nora Arnezeder, currently in the very good Ian McShane hitman thriller American Star.
  10. It isn't. You will watch something or listen to something this week where someone with dreadful views was involved in its making. It's unavoidable. Unless you just sit in a cell all day. It is Hull after all. But it was Page who started it all though? Were there many AEW fans annoyed at him for this 'workers rights' shit?
  11. Thanks. So I have to ask - what were AEW fans pissed off about exactly?
  12. I hope you don't think I'm trying to 'Gotcha' you or anything, we've known each other a long time. And of course, it was 15 years ago, we're all different. I'm just making the point that it's not as cut and dry as you make out. I'm glad you work in a capacity that keeps you away from people you would rather not associate with but avoiding absolutely everything and everyone that might not sit well with you, either in the workplace or recreationally, is more or less impossible unless you go and live in a cave for the rest of your life. Everyone has their own line in the sand. From what point? I'm terrible with timelines and that.
  13. He played for Hull two days after he was arrested for sexual assault.
  14. Did Marlon King keep playing for Hull after he assaulted that woman?
  15. This review of the Paul Newman / Joanne Woodward film The Long, Hot Summer has had me smiling all morning.
  16. The Christmas part of it is incidental anyway. Half the film is set either side of Christmas. Even at this early stage of the year I'd say something is going to have to be mindblowing for it not to be the best film of 2024.
  17. Why couldn't they have held that on a Sunday. Then with Sweet Female Attitude on the bill, my ex-landlord's daughter wouldn't be back on time to do the Sunday night karaoke session in the pub down the road and I'd get at least one Sunday night's fucking peace.
  18. I watched this! Women's chamber - Probably the match of the night but only because Bianca Belair and Tiffany Stratton were so good. Booked right, Stratton wil be a massive star. But both AEW and WWE are doing fuck all with women's storylines right now so she'll just keep having Matches until everyone's bored of her. But she was really good here and they really need to make sure Belair gets a big match at Wrestlemania as she's propped up the whole division for ages now. Judgement Day vs New Catch Republic - I mean, I actually quite like the name. But everyone who clamoured for Pete Dunne to not be Butch anymore already looks a berk. Tyler Bate? Look, all I'm saying is that the guy's pulled Liv Morgan, Toni Storm and Sol Ruca. So he can look as daft as he wants, clearly. And he looks REALLY fucking daft. This match went on for ages and even the boy Priest couldn't save it. Finn Balor is fucking crap. Men's chamber - Didn't get going, possibly because Orton got injured and because LA Knight was in it. A dream match mid-carding Wrestlemania with The Gay Community's favourite flat earther awaits. Yeah! I think Orton vs Logan Paul will be really good though although I'd have preferred Owens again. Obvious winner, went on forever. Rhea Ripley vs Nia Jax - Just spent the whole of this praying for Ripley. How she didn't get hurt during this is a miracle. It's uncomfortable watching Jax and not in a good way. This was a bad event. But maybe the first dud WWE PPV I can remember watching in at least a couple of years.
  19. I think by and large Becky doesn't work as well as a straight-out babyface so it could be rough until Mania. But the match and story told will be so good that I can forgive it. To a point.
  20. Becky's great. That segment was not. She was superb during the Trish Stratus feud. Did people forget the Wrestlemania press conference promo already?
  21. It is to me but I don't think I'm phrasing myself very well here. I'd much rather see Punk or anyone show some support for these issues than none, as long as they're genuine.
  22. You don't think there's a possibility that some are doing it for this reason? Or in fact both reasons you give? It seems like some people would be less disappointed in him if he just hadn't expressed any women's or trans rights support in the first place. Which is just bizarre to me.
