They haven’t really given Becky any reason to not trust the doctor or doubt Triple H etc though, which makes the angle slightly strange.

How about the doctors that didn't clear her to face Rousey at Survivor Series?

  6. The results are in and we will kick off with the Women's Rumble with the prize of an Askua mask.

The winner of the Asuka mask is @Alex Wright Mark who squeaked out @Shane O' Mac Version 2 by four points with DJM coming a respectable 3rd. Wretch brings up the rear with a score of -30 points.

On to the Men's Rumble where the winner will receive a Nakamura Strong Style baseball cap.

With scores of 165 points @cobra_gordo and @Supremo are the joint winners of the Men's Rumble with a massive gap of 29 points over @Love-Wilcox in 3rd place. Three people were in negative territory but it was @KJHenley in the bottom position. As it would be silly to cut the cap in half I won't announce the recipient of it just yet. So lets roll on on the combined scores where the winner will receive a toy WWE Championship belt and the Noel Dibiase Pop Vinyl. There is also a booby prize for the Wooden Spoon, but it is not the Wyatt Family Sheep Mask as previously advertised, it is a Natalya Cat Ears Hairband.

And the overall winner of this year's UKFF Royal Rumble Lottery is forum stalwart @Supremo with a combined score of 278. Women's winner Ales Wright Mark is in second place with Cobra_Gordo in third place. They will receive the Strong Style cap and as a result will be in the record books as the Men's winner. At the other end of the table @bigfoote is the wooden spoon loser and will receive the Nattie Neidhart cat ears. Wear them with pride my son.

Please can all of the winners send me a PM and I will post your prizes by the end of the week. I will post a breakdown of all the scoring tomorrow because quite frankly I can't be arsed at the moment. The lottery will be back next year unless Vinny Mac ignores his lawyers and does another shitshow in the desert.

  7. I have just sat through both Rumble's for a second time (lucky me) and have calculated the points for each entrant in the Rumble.

To be clear I will be classing Becky Lynch as number 28 as she took Lana's spot and Nia Jax is classed as number 30 in the Men's Rumble.

The jackpot numbers for the combined prize is 10, 13, 27, 28 and 29. No one has that combination

The jackpot numbers for the Women's Rumble is 2,13,27.28 and 29. No one has that combination

The jackpot numbers for the Men's Rumble is 8,10,19,27 and 28. No one has that combination

So basically if you have not picked 27 and 28 you are kinda buggered..

The jackpot numbers for the booby prize is 7,11,15,23 and 26. No one has that combination.

I will be adding the relevant scores to the numbers later on. I have some grown-up shit to do for the next couple of hours. I hope to get the results posted by 10pm with a full breakdown on who scored what.

  9. @PunkStep Small aircrafts like the Piper Malibu that Sala was on does not have the flight tracking capabilities as a commercial airliner. I have no experience with that paticular plane but I have had lessons in a Cesna which is essentially a Mini Cooper with wings and a propeller. It had basic technology of a communications radio, GPS and radar beacon.

What I am surprised at is that these small planes normally only travel over bodies of water in daylight as you can only rely on GPS and compass as reference points.

It is a tragic situation and to have two air accidents in the space of three months affecting British football is heartbreaking.

  10. With a week to go I can now reveal this year's prizes. Firstly the prize for the wooden spoon overall will receive a Wyatt Family Sheep Mask and the recipient must wear it in public and provide photographic evidence.

The prize for the Women's Royal Rumble is in honour of last year's winner. The winner will receive an Asuka mask.

As above the winner of the Men's Royal Rumble will receive this Strong Style Shinsuke Nakamura cap.

And the overall winner of the UKFF Royal Rumble Lottery will receive two prizes. a toy WWE championship belt and a Noel Edmonds Pop Vinyl (Sadly there was no Big Boss Man merch in the WWE Shop)

Please get your picks in at your earliest convenience.

  14. God this has come round quicker than expected, yes it is that time once again where you all pick 5 random numbers in the hope of getting your name etched on to The UKFF Rumble Lottery Hall of Fame in the pCc Clubhouse.

    2018 Greatest Royal Rumble: Wrasslin

Unfortunately there is no Golden Bossy's this year, Mrs @Kaz Hayashi has ordered the supplier to stop dicking around with spray paint and early 90's action figures. However I will rustle up some prizes for the individual winners and a bigger prize for the overall winner (Don't expect owt special.)

As usual all you need to do is reply to this thread and pick FIVE numbers between 1 and 30. These numbers will be used for both Rumble's. Each selection will be allocated points as seen further down the page. Due to the winners of Mixed Match Challenge earning the number 30 spot, typically I would disqualify that selection to be made. But seeing as it is R-Truth and Carmella we all know they have fuck all chance of winning the Rumble, so I have created some Number 30 Specials to entice you to pick number 30 if you dare.

    The Top 5

    Winner - 50 points
    Runner-up (last eliminated) - 35 points
    3rd - 25 points
    4th - 15 points
    5th - 10 points

Survivor award; the most time spent in the ring
    1st longest - 20 points
    2nd longest - 18 points
    3rd longest - 16 points
    4th longest - 14 points
    5th longest - 12 points

Your wrestler eliminates another: 3 points

The Bushwhacker Luke award; If your wrestler is eliminated within 60 seconds of entering the ring you are deducted 10 points.

Skinning the Cat Award - If your wrestler skins the cat and returns into the ring you will gain five points. However if he is eliminated whilst attempting it or within three seconds of returning into the ring he will be deducted ten points for being a dickhead.

The Tiffany Award - If your wrestler is by himself in the ring (after entrant number two enters the ring) then he will receive six points. It is possible for your wrestler to score more than once. Obviously the winner is not included in this.

The "You Stupid Idiot" Award - Renamed after Chris Jericho who did this in 2017, if your wrestler volunteers to climb the top rope but then gets knocked off and eliminated you lose 20 points.

The "Well We Weren't Expecting You!" Award - If your pick is a WWE Hall of Famer or someone who is not a member of the active wrestling roster you will gain 10 points. (My decision will be final if the person qualifies for this award)

NXT Newbie award - In the last few years there have been a couple of NXT wrestlers who earned the opportunity to compete in the Rumble, so if your pick is a member of the active NXT roster you will score 5 points.

The Double Bubble Award: If your selection competed earlier on the card = 4 points

The "In Like a House on Fire" Award: If your entrant eliminates someone within 60 seconds of entering the ring they will get an additional four points as well as the normal elimination bonus.

New - Hat Trick Heaven (Sponsored by BetFred)  If your pick is a member of an active tag-team or stable you will get 3 points. If they are in the Rumble at the same time as a fellow group member it will be doubled to 6 points and if they are three members or more it will be doubled once again to 12 points. (It will be capped to three members)

    Number 30 Specials

R-Truth attempts or enters the Women's Royal Rumble will earn 10 points

Dance break in one Rumble = 5 points, in both = 10 points.

If either Carmella or R-Truth are eliminated within 30 seconds of a Dance Break = -20 points

Before you post your selections please read these rules to help me out:

    1. Make sure you only pick FIVE numbers from 1 to 30
    2. Make sure they are in numerical order
    3. If you fail to adhere to these rules I will make you look like a chump.

My selection is 2,6,11,24 and 28

    Good luck!

  16. About 12 Christmas's ago I was on a night out in Middlesbrough and the starter pub was a Wetherspoons (don't judge me.)

After breaking the seal for some reason I was compelled to wander over to the blob machine and instinctively pulled on the coin return lever. Low and behold sixteen Pound coins come flying out.

It certainly was a Christmas miracle.

  18. In the last couple of years I have got into the world of competitive quizzing and played in my first World Quiz Championships this year (I came fucking nowhere, it was rock solid) which is part of a calendar of monthly events.

The quizzes are usually held across multiple venues across the country and the world and quizzers take it in turn to set quizzes. As mentioned Olav is one of the best quizzers in the world but has never been able to translate his knowledge on to TV. He choked on the last series of Mastermind in the opening round.

What I have found is the elite quizzers seem to have traits of autism or aspergers. Anne Hegarty spoke about it candidly in this year's I'm a Celeb. Last year I was randomly selected to be on Anne's team at a Quiz In The North event and it was fascinating to see her dredge up nuggets of information with her techniques. The recall ability is on a different plane to us mere mortals.

Regarding The Chasers not doing great at the WQC only Anne, Paul and Jenny are regular fixtures on the quizzing circuit. Mark doesn't have the time to do them as he has so many commitments. Shaun hardly makes any appearances because he is not that good compared to the rest. Yes he is a Mastermind champion but he somehow managed to have three football topics as his specialist subjects. They have changed the rules since so you have to do three completely different topics.

There are some quizzers that only do TV shows abd you will see the same people on TV all the time. It seems like you are guaranteed to see a Laslett at least once every 6 months on the box.

I would recommend going to a Grand Prix or a Quiz in the North event though just for the experience. You will probably get a walloping but everyone is friendly and usually afterwards everyone goes for a curry and a beer. Go to Quizzing.com or Quiz in the North on Facebook to find out more.
