  1. I am also in the public sector and I have to commend my organisation. Anyone who has been shielding, contracted Covid-19 or have been recommended to quarantine have been receiving full pay with no impact to their sickness record. We have only started asking people to come back to work after they have received a risk assessment and if necessary if they were to return they could work from a lower risk site.

In my region alone we have had over 60 staff who have been self isolating since 16th March and the majority are wanting to come back to work. Whilst they were off we had a massive gap to fill for the lost hours, but the organisation offered double time to healthy staff to cover the hours of the 'shielders' and they also received a wage allowance on top.

We currently have a handful of people stuck in Spain at the moment who will need to quarantine when they arrive back. They will still receive full pay when they return, but anyone who travels to Spain from now on they will be asked to either put in further annual leave or to take it unpaid.

If anyone can work from home they must do for the foreseeable future unless personal circumstances makes it necessary for someone to work in the office.

Everything my work has put in place has been fair and sometimes a bit too generous, but I couldn't have asked for a better place to work during the pandemic.

You know you only need to travel through the UKFF archive to find photos of extinct products.

  3. Boro have unveiled their new kit and it is nice that they have got one of the cleaners involved in the launch:

Other than the hideous sponsor I like it. The collar is a nice throw back to the opening season at the Riverside Stadium. I am keen to see the full shirt with the Hummel chevrons.

  4. I won a quiz a couple of months ago and got a six month subscription to BeerBods and there was some nice beers in it, but this has to be the best lager that has ever passed my lips

I can't put it into words how good this is. It is that good I have ordered a mixed case from Canopy to try out their other offerings. Other highlights from my BeerBods box was Ordinary Bitter by Anspach and Hobday and Wiper and True IPA by Kaleidoscope. Adnams Cucumelon Sour went straight into the bin after one sip. Rancid.

  5. Unfortunately I busted out in 111th place for a nice payday of $1,800 and change. At one point I was 3rd in chips but two bad beats in row saw me go from the penthouse to the outhouse. If those two hands held I would be chip leader by a mile. That's poker.

It isn't life changing money but I will be virtually getting paid double bubble this month so I can't complain too much.

This is what I am playing for tonight. There are currently 642 left with the top 548 getting paid. I am currently sitting in 112th place with a stack of 535,000 which is about 200,000 more than average stack. The prizepool is less than I predicted with a combined pool of $1.6M.

    Let's do this.

Thank fuck that season's done. Interesting shootout coming up, I can see Brentford ballsing it up more than Fulham but that final's probably likely. The Wigan thing sucks the hardest, though; either them or Barnsley getting dropped by a League jury isn't a nice way to see the Champ order decided.

Don't forget Sheffield Wednesday and Derby County could be in trouble with their dodgy selling of their stadiums to the owners to cook the books. A hearing on both cases are due to be looked at in August.

I also feel for Wigan, it shows up how ineffective the 'fit and proper persons' test is.

Colin managed to do his Red Adair rescue of Boro and is looking likely to stay on for at least a year.

  8. It is too early to say yet. I qualified in Flight A and there is 16 Day 1 flights going right up until Sunday afternoon. After three completed flights I am currently sitting in 30th place out of 156 players remaining with 1,201 entries so far. Looking at the paytable they are paying 15% of the field so as things stand there will be no bubble, but the later flights will have players hanging on with less than 10 big blinds.

My conservative estimate is that there will be a total of 5,000 players which will mean it will be a prizepool of $1.9M and 620 players will be getting paid. From that I guess I will have a top 200 stack with about 800 players returning. I will have a better idea on Sunday morning.

Thanks for that @Guy Bifkin I had no idea that programme existed so I am going to be in a YouTube rabbit-hole tonight!

  9. Inevitably this thread will get closed when Neil clasps his eyes on it as it is older than Impact Wrestling, but I will post my news here anyway.

I have made day 2 of the World Series of Poker pot limit Omaha event with an above average stack and the tournament has a guaranteed prize pool of 1M USD, but will be a lot higher than that. It will be more likely to be nearer 2M.

With Covid going on all of the WSOP events have moved online and this is my best opportunity to go for a coveted bracelet. I qualified for the tournament for 3 dollars where the normal buy-in is 400.

This is by far the biggest tournament I have ever played in and I restart the tournament with 60 big blinds which is an above average stack and should comfortably make a min-cash which will roughly be 700 USD. The winner will be walking away with about 200,000.

I have not been able to concentrate since. This could potentially be life changing money and if I could win it I will be added to the 52 Brits who have managed to win a bracelet alongside the likes of Jake Cody, Barney Boatman and Dave 'Devilfish' Ulliott.

If anyone wants to follow my progress you will be able to find my table on Sunday on GG Poker and my username is beanyuk.

  10. Last night, I put an order in to pickup at the local chippy for 2 cod and chips. 10 minutes later I wandered down to collect it and the ladies behind the counter looked like they had seen a ghost.

Apparently they gave the cod I ordered to the previous customer who claimed he rang in for it (he didn't) but they couldn't be sure as they knew this old fella suffered from dementia. So I had to wait for some fresh fish to cook.

I did get compensation though, they chucked in two large battered sausage. It is a shame my wife only eats white meat so I was well and truly stuffed last night.

  11. I used Maysan recently as I couldn't get hold of my usual Chinese curry powder and found it really bland. I had to whack some additional spice to give it any kind of kick.

This is the Mack-Daddy of curry sauces.

£1 a box from B&M. Dead easy to knock up and really tasty.

  12. FML, Colin Wanker has been made manager of Middlesbrough. I feel sorry for Woodgate, but he was on a hiding to nothing and in a similar position to when Tony Mowbray was put in charge a few years ago.

It is worrying times on Teesside at the moment. As great as Steve Gibson has been at the helm of the club for the last 30 years, some of his appointments and business decisions have been questionable ever since he sacked Southgate when we were sitting second in the Championship table.

Hopefully Warnock is just a sticking plaster until the end of the season to keep us up, but with our current squad and Ayala refusing to play I fear we will be joining the deckchairs in League One next season.

  13. Thanks for the advice chaps, but I managed to stumble across a solution using the help guide and using =COUNTIFS

It was to build a frontpage dashboard to show live updates of staff completing risk assessments and I am quite happy with what I have come up with which was

    =COUNTIFS('Datasheet'!$L$4:$L$519,"Yes",'Datasheet'!$J$4:$J$519,"John Smith")

  14. Paging Dr @Onyx2

I need a bit of help with a formula, I am trying to do a COUNTIF with IF statements in-between and I am failing miserably.

What I am attempting is to count the word Yes comparing to a person's name.

    Example data is

    A                            B

    John Smith           Yes

    John Smith            No

    John Smith           Yes

    Gary Bushell         No
