  1. I've just finished watching GAEA Girls, a pretty fucking sweet documentary about trainees at GAEAs dojo, and watching one of the trainees get the shit smashed out of them, and called every name under the sun to boot, made me wonder: has a japanese trainee ever fought back/stood up for themselves? How did it work out for said trainee?

My guess would be no, never. It's just not in the Japanese mindset, plus those kids take such a brutal kicking when they're being trained normally, I imagine that anyone who tried to fight back would get mauled so badly they wouldn't be able to leave the dojo except in a fucking box.

Did the one getting kicked ever amount to anything in the business? Cheers!

Well, she debuted at the end of the film, and got the shit kicked out of her by Meiko Satomura, in front of her parents who cheered her on.....

  3. You've already mentioned, I said she was a crap actress, you said that didn't matter, you would still plough through her and I said that be that as it may, she would never people able to fake that you were any good.

Ahh yes, I remember why I thought you were a petty little man now. How could I forget?Banner9.jpgEmma Watson makes everything ok........:love::love:
  4. Not complaining or anything, but I really thought I would have made the list. I mean, PHEW that I didn't, but I've just never felt that well liked as to not make said list.

Not at all dud, well not for me anyway.Often get you mixed up with jjisthebest at a first glance though, have to confess that happens a lot if i'm not paying attention.
    Ahh thats probably it
  5. Its in the rules!! SPOILERS NEED SPOILER TAGS!! I made this mistake once and got soundly flagellated for it and deservedly so! If some Eugene reject doesn't bother reading the rules and gets razzed for it, who's fault is it?

  6. That Chris Benoit's life ended in this manner is upsetting and disturbing. This does not alter the fact that this man used to bus half way across Canada for the sport he loved. This does not alter the fact that he worked hard, damn hard, selflessly for every single wrestling fan whether we laughed or cheered or booed or ignored him. Certainly I am not ingoring the fact that he killed 2 people and then himself. However, I want to remember Chris Benoit for the sound worker he was, for being the guy that made me and my friends believe in smaller technical guys over muscle bound freaks, for his unintentionally hilarious promos in his series with Jericho.Other people might be ashamed of missing Benoit. I for one will wear my Benoit T shirt with pride tomorrow.

  7. Seriously........what? So you think someone has been using his mobile phone to text his WWE mates??

Yeah man, ANYONE can send a text, make it look like he's still alive and acting oddly, make the suicide thing look more feasable.
  8. Unless he actually phoned someone and they heard his voice, these texts can be discounted. ANYONE can send a text and if they're described as out of character, then thats something that leads me to believe it might have been someone else.

  9. My Hubby just pointed out that whilst its all very tragic - we did sit down and over last nights curry watched 2 hours of the crime channel - all documentaries about average people who at some point or other killed strangers/loved ones/families/friends for completely random reasons. One man pushed his wife off the grand canyon because it was easier than getting a divorce. Bad stuff happens, and im not comparing - but it happens a lot - and none of us know what was going through Benoits head as events unfolded. It might only be a small straw that breaks the camels back - but it happens... if this were normal old joe public no one would care aside from the families involved.I can't remember who it was who posted earlier about it being a morbid fascination - but its true.(as an afterthought - i like the word hyperbole)

I can understand where you're coming from carolann but Benoit didn't seem like the type to just go berzerk and kill people. I mean, some of the stuff fans used to chant at him and he never reacted to it..
  10. i know i'm rumour mongering BUT stole this from dvdr board which stole it from TMZ.com, could be completely false, so i dont think anybody should take this as fact, though it will give the people in denial something to cling to...

From TMZ.com464. My second cousin is an officer with GBI (Georgia Bureau of Investigations) and what he's heard in his circle is that Chirs Benoit's wife killed their son Daniel, called Chris and told him to rush home because of an emergency which is why he missed last Sunday's Vengeance PPV. Upon arriving home Benoit killed his wife in a rage for the death of his son and then killed himself Monday morning. His wife's body was found in the master bedroom, strangled with the cord from an alarm clock. The son's body was found in his room appearantly suffocated with a garbage bag. Chris then wrote a suicide note explaining what had happened, apologized to his family, his other children (from a seperate relationship), and his fans. He then fasioned a slip-knot noose from from rope taken from the garage and hung himself from the ballaster in the foyer of his suburban Atlanta home.also, http://www.11alive.com/video/player.aspx?aid=74565&bw=

Doesn't add up. Why would nancy want to kill Daniel?
I don't know. Why would Chris want to kill Daniel? For the record, I'm not pointing the blame at either.
I want to believe that theres an outside party involved, but theres no evidence, or even reports of evidence, of a struggle or anything like that.

  12. This is all so surreal, find it hard to beleive that Benoit would murder his family and then kill himself. Regardless of what did or didn't happen, RIP Chris. One of the true greats of the sport.

I concur. In all investigations theres whats called the MMO: Means, Motive, and Oppertunity. I realise there could be Means and Oppertunity, but why would he WANT to kill his wife and kid? It doesn't make sense. I've been working it through in my mind but the only thing that gets me is why would he? It defies logic. Perhaps he recognised how bad a situation Eddie left his family in when he died and didn't want them to go through the same thing, but thats pretty infeasable.EDIT:

I thought he was just too upset. There's no way that Regal knew about the situation but WWE still ran a tribute show, no way.

If you watch Regal's tribute, at the end he does say "sorry guys, I can't" and moves as if he's getting up to leave.
  13. Oh my fucking god!!! I remember, about 8 years ago me and some of my non wrestling friends were talking about wrestling and they were saying how I was too small (size-wise, not age) to be taken seriously. Just then Benoit and Bret Hart came out and had a blinding match in the same arena where Owen had died. After that they all took me seriously when I talked about trying to break in. Benoit was one of the guys who made smaller wrestlers believable.RIP Chris, another great taken way too early.
