The winner of the 8-man elimination tournament will become the 2011 Trophy Holder and automatically begins 2012 as the official number one contender to the FutureShock Championship! The list of previous winners is a who’s who of Champions: 2006 - Dom Travis 2007 - Sam Bailey 2008 - Dave Rayne 2009 - Raynaldo 2010 - Jack Gallagher With Gallagher yet to cash in his Title Match he remains the only Trophy Holder to have not also held Championship Gold and many believe that it’s only a matter of time until Jack joins this illustrious group. But who will be next to raise the coveted Trophy and get his shot at becoming one more FutureShock Legend? With all 8 names now announced the draw for the first round match ups will taking place in the coming days, so stay plugged in for all the news heading your way! At the close of FutureShock 53 it was clear that Wrestling’s hottest rising star “The Grappler” Jack Gallagher has finally set his sights on FutureShock Champion Dave Rayne. Moments after Rayne achieved a cheap pinfall victory of former WWE Superstar Colt Cabana, Gallagher came out to ensure Cabana got some measure of revenge! Dave Rayne’s Response But is Gallagher going to finally cash in his title shot? At the start of the year Gallagher made it clear he was going to bide his time and make sure that when he did face whomever the Champion may be then he, himself, would be nothing short of world-class competitor and a true Champion of British Wrestling. Having faced and beat some of the best Pro-Wrestlers in the UK and also lost a hard fought and close run contest with ROH Champion Davey Richards does Gallagher now believe in his heart what fans and critics alike have been saying about him all year? Or is there more height to the mountain Gallagher has challenged himself to climb? As soon as FutureShock know we will let you, our fans, know! FutureShock Champion Dave Rayne has been in contact with FutureShock Management to demand he gets Octoer 9th off from defending hs title. In consideration of the fact that the Championship has been defended on the last 3 events against 3 World Class opponents in Sam Bailey, Johnny Phere and Colt Cabana and coupled with the fact that Rayne has defended the Championship on 3 occasions elsewhere in the UK during this time, Management have accepted his request! Another top class opponent has been found for Gallagher in the mean time! Whilst they've battled back and forth over the GPW British Championship earlier in the year these men have never faced off in singles competition. Both are without doubt in the upper echelon of the grappling elite and are amongst the very best Prefessional Wrestlers in the UK today.
