The Kevin Nash Fashion thread

To many posts have went on about Nash's dress sense recently, so I've created this thread as a sort of a put up of shut up for Da Haterz~. What look would be most suited for Nash in this current period we are in. Here's some of the looks he's had over the years.

CAP AND T-SHIRT:

1117b.jpg

T-shirt could be alternated, but it was a fixture of his WCW tenture. Kevin would come out with a t-shirt and that very cap on. You could guarentee if he was "shooting" that cap would be on his head. Nash liked this outfit a lot and for good reason.

TRACKSUIT TOP AND MULLET:'

diesel-wwe-legend-sports-fashion-2.jpg

The original Diesel look. He's showed with the return of the t-shirt he wore at the Great American Bash, he isnt against recycling an old top to unleash on a new audience. I wouldnt be surprise if we see the return of the "Jimmy Corkhill Shellsuit".

LEATHER JACKET:

19156_252300716025_31695961025_3389417_6165902_n.jpg

A leather jacket. Worn during the Monday Night Wars 2.0. It took some doing standing out on a night when everyone had a amazing leather jacket on, but he did it with flying nWo colours. Surprised he hasnt got a jacket on since his return. They are a proven ratings winner.

NAVY SPORT CUTOFF:

In real life, Kevin Nash has a house on a private beach, which was paid for "in cash" during his run in WCW. So it gets a hot down there I imagine, so he's not against wearing a cut off sports shirt. This one comes in navy. Havent seen him wear it in WWE yet, but he liked it so much he formed the Main Event Mafia at Bound For Glory 2008 in it.

KEVIN MYSTERIO:

NashMysterio.jpg

This look is over with the kids these days. I'm not against an update or even a completely different look, as long as they run with it. A push to the hispanic market and a feud with Del Rio would be a way forward in these difficult times, if they went with this. Worth thinking about.

BROWNY CHECKED SHIRT:

40030154_384x288_generated.jpg003.jpg

A controversial one. Some have blamed the decline on television ratings on Nash's decision to wear such a questionable shirt for his return to television. Its not a favourite, but its not the worst shirt in the world. If WWE gets to work, making a new Kevin Nash TOP ROPE shirt, we wouldnt need a thread like this.

FUBU WEAR:

28g.jpg

If you need a reason why the above was so popular, you might as well go to the depression thread. Nash pre-dated Ali G for wearing FUBU from head to toe. Nash even started to talk "Gangsta" (if thats what its called), during an episode of Nitro when him and Konnan talked about sipping "Crystal" in the "limo". The promo ended with Nash saying "hoody hoo".

SUIT:

ng1.jpg

Simply black suit and black shirt. A outfit that made him look not only comfortable, but also cool at the same time. Either that or it looks far better because of what Stings turned up as.

WHITE TANKTOP:

tna_1130_04.jpg

Wore this once or twice in TNA. This was during his new nWo group with Hall and Jarrett. Never wore anything like this back in the day or recently, so there's a chance he isnt to keen on this.

VINNIE:

007.jpg

Vinnie Vegas was untapped potential. A character based on Andrew Dice Clay. In 2011, a character like this would be over huge. A wise arse, joke cracking, sleezey git, who also stands 7'0". Surprised WWF never just brought him in as Vinnie Vegas in 1993.

STRIPPED NUMBER:

xofnk5.jpg

He obviously likes this shirt, because he has consistantly wore a similar shirt for the last 15 years. His PPV debut with WCW saw him don the black and white stripe, and a few weeks ago on Raw, we saw something near enough the same.

FLUFFY FLEECE:

tna_vr02.jpg

This is one of my favourites. Wore only once during his TNA debut in 2004, its a zip-up, with pants to match. Its an obvious comfort outfit, whether your telling AJ Styles he cant work or if you want to watch Rosanne on DVD at you house.

CASUAL DRESS SHIRT:

tna_1112_01.jpg

Times were usually laid back at the old TNA TV tapings, so it wasnt uncommon to finish your shift early and head off for a night out afterwards. This not only look cool to the wrestling audience, but also works as a shirt to go out afterwards.

KING KEV:

019.jpg

A natural progression to the Triple H feud. Triple H is the King of Kings. As the longest reigning WWF Champion of the 90s, Nash could definitely dispute his claim. Nash beat Bret, Owen and Mable after their KOTR wins. That would be a big feud going into WrestleMania.

BUMP BAG/FLANNEL SHIRT/OPTIONAL BLACK MAN ACCESSORY:

23c.jpg

A booker never looked so good. This is during the period where he was booking for WCW. He had some good looks during this era, and he wouldnt be out of place in Nirvana or Pearl Jam, in this get up. Here's a little fact, Nash has the script for that nights Nitro in his hand.

PAPARAZZI SHIRT:

papa.jpg

At one time, was the hottest selling shirt in the world. Nash saw Carol Alt in one of these, and she doesnt even model anymore. Wore once or twice on TV, but sold in the shitloads at live events.

THE "I'M GOING TO UNI' IN AUGUST" LOOK:

Nash11_display_image.jpg

A personal favourite of mine. Nash looked about 25 again during this period. He had the short dyed hair, and dressed like he was fighting a midlife crisis and winning the battle as well. Fans of his X Division run, will remember this look fondly.

AS SID:

038.jpg

This could also go in the "Give Sid another chance" thread. Nash could come out to test the waters to see if Sid's music and moves are as over as they were. Sid could then be brought back to feud with the new Sid. They were trying to do this with the 8 Sin Cara's they have on television. But big men draw big ratings, so that should be scraped in favour of this.

HAWAIIAN SHIRT:

025.jpg

A hawaiian shirt, shorts and flip-flops. Worn during WCW's spring break shows, where Hall and Nash turned up in worse condition than Jeff Hardy did a few months ago. Although, Hall definitely has the better shirt.

SURFER LOOK:

pm001.jpg

Another example of Kevin's laid back way of life. Shorts flip-flops and a tank top was all the range back in the early part of the decade. Minor drawback, because of the lack of sleeves your drawn into seeing the massive sweat patch under his right arm.

WAITING ON A FRIEND LOOK:

Nash_3.jpg

Its that cap again. Scott Hall got fired in 2000 by WCW, so Nash wore this t-shirt every week there after and constantly mentioned him on television "Let He Without Sin Cast The First STONE" he said on his friends dismissal. Seeing this shirt on Raw every week would definitely bring a smile to my face. And would start rumours of a possible Hall return.

NUDE:

bvd.jpg

As above.

LEATHER PANTS/JUMPER/SUNGLASSES:

feb11m.jpg

2000 was the time when he'd seperated from his wife, so it was on a plate for him. Debatable whether it was his dress sense or the money and power he had, but he worked his way through a few of this lot I imagine. I wouldnt be out of the question to say Nash probably shagged everyone no named Ron Harris in this photo.

If you have any to add please do.

This is one of his best looks IMO - the short grey hair made him look like a hard motherfucker. It's a pity Vince insists on him dyeing his hair, as the grey (particularly short) is a strong look.

You might be on to something with the stripy shirt too - Nash has an incredible memory for detail and has used clothing to foreshadow things before.

It's because of Kevin Nash I can wear a Leather Jacket (just like the one he wears) in 2011 and be seen as the height of fashion, as opposed to people thinking I'm a Suzi Quatro fan which would happen if he didn't wear one.
