Paid Members air_raid Posted February 21, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted February 21, 2011 As many as 161,000 people watch old episodes of Catchphrase? There are some strange people in this country aren't there. Just saying what I see.
The Invisible Boy
Awesome to see iMPACT! doing so well but yeah, it's a bit surprising to see how well Catchphrase is doing, I think it's alright now but when it used to be on when I was a kid I couldn't stand it. Moderators PowerButchi Posted February 22, 2011 Moderators Share Posted February 22, 2011 It's quality is Catchphrase, as is Family Fortunes. Â I wonder how You Bet! is doing on freeview now. I DVR that shit. Never miss it.

I DVR that shit. Never miss it.  Our old Media teacher was constantly going on quiz shows and taking us with him, because of this i keep randomly turning up in crowd shots on Challenge TV, spotted myself on 2 episodes of catchphrase (sadly with the newer host, not Roy Walker), Blankety Blank and Play your Cards right.  He seems to show up on the channel every few weeks, He was on You Bet (guessing what house, what family and what year a 30 second clip of Brookside was from), Celebrity Squares, Catchphrase, Blankety Blank, Play your cards right, Take your pick. Great days

Moderators PowerButchi Posted February 22, 2011 Moderators Share Posted February 22, 2011 Yeah. Lister has uploaded it to Youtube. Some ginge child guessed the finishes to matches. I was pissed off watching that as an 8 or so year old, because I could have fucking done it as well. Piece of piss.
ThePhenom
If Catchphrase is doing that well, they should bring it back. Thats great news for Impact as well, I wonder if they will do even better when the Hulkster shows up?

The subject matter was really narrow too, which may sound impressive to someone who doesn't watch it, but I could do that even now. There had only been around 7 Wrestlemanias at that time too. Off-topic tangent, but there was a show I think in the early 90s called something like "You vs. The Nation". A young guy appeared as a contestant, choosing "The WWF until 1993" as his specialist subject.

seanz25
Watching impact for the first time in a few months, Gunner & murphey are in the ring, think I might switch over elsewhere  *EDIT1* Ric flair just entered the ring and he was just stepping over the rope & for some reason he cut straight to the start to his promo? Did everyone else get this? Is it a edit to fit more ads/cut time or just a mistake.*  *EDIT2* Get Hernandez out the fucking door, he could of easily just killed Doug Williams, by snapping his neck/head in half!!*
ClassicsGuy
TNA Impact drew 134,000 viewers in their first showing on its new timeslot on Challenge TVÂ 1 CATCHPHRASE (WED 1902) 161 2 CATCHPHRASE (WED 1931) 151 3 CATCHPHRASE (TUE 1931) 143 4 CATCHPHRASE (TUE 1902) 137 5 TNA IMPACT (TUE 2202) 134 6 CRYSTAL MAZE (THU 1800) 119 7 FAMILY FORTUNES (SUN 1929) 118 8 CRYSTAL MAZE (WED 1800) 114 9 IN IT TO WIN IT (WED 2101) 111 10 FAMILY FORTUNES (TUE 2032) 109 Â In comparison WWE Raw drew 111,000 viewers and Smackdown drew 101,000 viewers. Â Needs to be pointed out that the live Raw consistently does in the region of 111,000 viewers despite airing at 2am to 4am. Â Impact has the advantage of airing at 10pm. Â When first run (catch up) Impact aired at the 'unsociable hours' of 12am to 2am, Fri Feb 4th to Tues Feb 8th, not one of the episodes made the top ten for the week ending Feb 6 (meaning that the first 3 TNA shows on Challenge were watched by less than 88,000 viewers). Â Simply put, if Impact aired at 2am in the morning, I doubt it would outdraw Raw.
