King Pitcos
I couldn't imagine his reading was at a level where he could do a promo from an autocue.
Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted January 12, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted January 12, 2015 We used to say that last promo all the time at school. But that's not how we remembered it. For some reason we always used to think he said - "You may have got me this time, but you wont get me the second time, ya bastard." We used to say it during PE when we'd be knocking the ball about. The other one I remember was when Austin would say "chairs, ladders, straps - it dont make a damn to me." We were lucky to get a plank of wood, let alone a ladder in Warzone. Paid Members bAzTNM#1 Posted January 13, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted January 13, 2015 Don't know where the folks at the WrestlingClassics.com board got this one from, but here is a slideshow of the evolution of the Max Moon gimmick. Some ultra-rare photos of Konnan in the role. Check out the state of that original costume. Â
Paid Members tiger_rick Posted January 13, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted January 13, 2015 The name ideas for Paul Diamond in the role are awesome. I love shit like that. Sparky McCloud. Rocket jock. Plutoid Paul. Moe Leckulor. Vance Crater. Blastoff. Paul the Amazing Planeteer. Â They must have been taking the piss. Â Brilliant find. That big costume in the early pictures looks great but would have made Konnan (even more) immobile. He'd need 10 minutes to take it off before he could wrestle. Merzbow
Moe Leckulor! Â That's amazing, I'm so using that in my 1998 EWR game. (Which also has Dion Dublin, Peter Ndlovu and Richard Shaw as The Sky Blue Day)
CTXRussomark
So THAT is the costume that's always discussed as costing them a fortune. I've never seen it before. Cool find, though no idea how you would incorporate that into an entrance. The amount of work they've gone to on it is quite staggering judging by the paperwork. WyattSheepMask
Â The Huckster vs. Nacho Man. Turns out this match actually did happen (kind of) Edited January 14, 2015 by WyattSheepMask
Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted January 14, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted January 14, 2015 (edited) What's shite is, they got a new actor in to play the Huckster. That wasn't the one featured in the vignettes. WWF were such thin skinned dickheads back then. Â Check out this shit. JR and Russo are fucking knobheads. No wonder they found it hilarious to embarrass JR every other week. He's such a miserable cunt. Edited January 14, 2015 by IANdrewDiceClay
Moderators PowerButchi Posted January 14, 2015 Moderators Share Posted January 14, 2015 Nice Jumper Jim. Â Now we know where Rick Rude got the idea for snazzy knitwear during his ECW run from.
Bosco Blick
Thought JR was brilliant there. Great answer to the final question.
Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted January 14, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted January 14, 2015 Those two JR mentioned are still under contract and JR and Russo are not. I find this amusing.
