Infinite Promotions returns to The Dome for the first time this year, still riding the wave of momentum from its landmark 2014 finale show. The first show of the year promises to be as spectacular as any before as NEW Infinite kingpin "Delicious" Danny Hope heads in Liverpool for the first time since unseating former Champion CJ Banks. No doubt the ramifications of the coming to an end of "The Juice"'s896 day title reign, under dubious circumstances, will be felt on February 27th and for a long time to come.

Confirmed for the show so far:

Tyson T-Bone vs. "100% Welsh Beef" Dylan Roberts - Leather Strap match - Final Encounter

AND

The first championship defence of new Infinite Heavyweight Champion Danny Hope

Very enjoyable show last night. The crowd wasnt their best in terms of numbers but very lively and brilliant as always. Show didnt start until 1940. So much stalling from G-Man and a long video about the Dome, and it was freezing in there, people were getting restless.

CJ Banks beat Ringo Ryan

Joey Hayes beat Zack Gibson and Charlie Garrett (Garrett looks really good)

Babyface Pitbull/Tim Wylie beat Bad Lads (Bad Lads were awful but it was fun to see Wylie throwing them around)

Toni Storm beat Chardonnay (Decent match and crowd were into it)

Dylan Roberts beat T-Bone in a strap match by DQ when T-Bone took strap off to saving Lana getting beat up from Bad Lads (Cracking match but an awful ending)

Danny Hope retained Title beating Sam Bailey (Quick match, but fun. Joey Hayes tried to run interference. Bailey and Hayes beat down Hope after the match but Frankie Sloan made the save setting up Hayes v Sloan at the next show in St Helens)

Prior to the main event there was a ridiculously long in-ring segment between CJ Banks and owner Ciaran McConnell. Memorable for an old man trying to enter the ring and attempting to throw punches at Banks, who had called his Son four-eyes. He was tackled by security. Someone also tried to throw a beer can at Banks too.

CJ Banks is hated in Liverpool as much as Danny Hope is loved.

A cracking show (timing issues aside) and I really hope Infinite can continue their run of good shows. Great to have a local promotion that provides as much but Infinite really need to up their game in terms of promotion and online presence. Walking through Liverpool before the show I didnt see any promotion for Infinite but there were posters for a TNT (Hardcore promotion) show everywhere.

You would think though with the amount of good shows that Infinite do, that would draw the crowd instantly.

But one of the problems is with the North West/Yorkshire Region there is too much going on show wise i suppose that can be a good thing, but in the other instance if you are not promoting the fact you have these big matches at least 1 - 2 months in advance you are not going to draw.

I mean HXC in Manchester have advertised a show for Mania night 1 month ago but still haven't put tickets on sale or announced any matches, Doesn't help that i guess most of the people who would go to that show will go to PCW as they have advertised stuff.

You get the hardcore Infinite fans/regulars there but when you are up against Southside running a show the same night, the fans that travel wherever for their wrestling will most likely go where the imports are. Although there was no stand out match last night (Robert v T-Bone could have been but for the finish) it is still a very enjoyable night out

Ive missed one infinite show in Liverpool since they started and last night was the first show I could bag a ringside ticket, easily. All the same faces you see at ringside were not there last night but no doubt they will have a ringside ticket for the next show.

Yeah I usually go and didn't last night. Was a combination of the card not being that appealing and just too much going on.

After not having a promotion other than All Star for years, you have Infinite & All Star running Liverpool, ICW running Liverpool, NGW running Ormskirk not too far away and a "TNT Hardcore Wrestling" show running tonight not far from the Dome. That's not to mention the 8 million companies it seems are doing spot shows in St Helens (including Infinite themselves) and all the others in Manchester, Wigan, Preston, Runcorn and the surrounding areas.

But yeah, sounds like a decent enough show although the booking and pacing of the shows is downright weird at times. The promoter putting himself in 20 minute in ring segments actively made me not want to go - although now I do wish I'd seen Juice and the fan. What a great act that man is.

Went and saw a lot of early infinite, it's a good show and setup but is a case of not always learning, I've not been for well over a year because of transport issues, that and too much going on elsewhere, shame because when they get it right they do it well. When they dont though it's horrid. Cage set up being one example

Last night was okay, but there's been better IP shows.

The lonnnnnnnnnnng Dome appeal video at the start of the show had the best of intentions I'm sure, but went on FOREVER. It was well produced, but it soon became reminiscent of that Alan Partridge spoof tv show where he toured Norwich. I mean, did we really need to see the '1950s toilets inside the Dome'? Or the balcony outside the building? People (including a lot of kids) were there to see a wrestling show, not a 10 minute 'One Show' segment. It soon became very comical. If it had been maybe 1 or 2 minutes in length, it would have been fine, but it was far too long and seemed too self-indulgent.

They really need to sort out the heating in the Dome. That was the coldest that building has ever been for an IP show. I had to put my coat on after just the first match, it was that cold.

I know Ciaran is the promoter and he's a genuinely nice, good guy, but between him starring in the Dome appeal video and then the in-ring segment with Banks, he took up around 35 minutes of the show last night. That's way too much time. The angle with Banks was good, but could have been done in half the time. The ending of the angle, where they put screens around the piledriven Ciaran on the stage and he was never shown or referred to again was beyond campy. Couldn't they have just stretchered him backstage? Leaving the building after the show, I heard a kid who looked about 6 say, "Mummy, is that man still on the floor behind that wall?"

The Bad Lads tag team have an awful look and had a 'so bad they were good' thing going on. The fat guy with no tan wearing leggings held up by the thinnest pair of braces ever was awful in the ring, to the point some of the crowd started cheering him for comedy, he was that bad.

The ending of the strap match was a horrific screw job too. T-Bone had touched 3 corners of the ring and was literally 4-5 feet away, maybe even as little as an arms' length from touching the 4th corner when he inexplicably just stopped and took the strap off. Yeah, the Bad Lads had Lana by the hair on the stage. Couldn't he have just touched the turnbuckle, won the match, then saved her? I can understand wanting to string a programme/feud out, but when a promotion runs as infrequently as Infinite, why not just give the fans a clean finish? T-Bone and Roberts have been feuding for over a full year now.

There seemed an inordinate amount of stalling on the show too, like something was going on backstage and they were constantly scrambling to fill time.

Other than those moans, there was some good stuff too.

Gibson vs Garrett vs Hayes was really good, as was Hope vs Bailey.

Enjoyed Banks vs Ryan too.

Storm vs Chardonnay was okay. Had a bad finish, as Storm missed the superkick by a mile. Storm plays her giddy Aussie character well though.

Infinite still has a lot of untapped potential. They just need to improve some of their booking and branding. There seemed to be a lack of posters put up for this show around the city, compared to previous shows. Different people have different visions, but there are lots of little things that they could also be doing to help themselves, even something as small as holding a raffle during the show, to raise some extra money. Might seem insignificant, but little things like that help improve things. They seem to be missing a few tricks.

There are so many avenues that Infinite are under utilising. Their Facebook/Twitter is non-existent, and their own website has been down for quite a while. They really need to get their shows out on DVD. Infinite had a little bit of buzz going last year but they aren't enough eyes on the product.

It was ridiculously cold last night (had my coat on all show), it would have been an awful experience had the show not delivered but thankfully it did.

Banks was ace, he didnt really have to do much but managed to generate so much heat. Whoever threw the beer can was an idiot as was the old fella who was probably pissed, his attempts to throw punches made a scary situation laughable.

Sam Bailey got on the mic and told us all Ciaran was dead so that was cleared up.

After attending Friday nights offering from Infinite in their home town of Liverpool !!!!

I have always championed Infinite but not after Friday nights shambles .

Firstly the balcony was not open and the crowd was well down on previous shows (general ticket prices have gone up to £12 pay on the door!!!)

Late start , followed by a video from Ciaran , which was far too long which killed the show before it had even begun.

G. Mans intro was definately a stalling tool , again it went on too long

The action got under way with a very average first half of four matches

Dylan Roberts vs T Bone in a strap match was excellent and saved the night.

We were subjected to Ciaran McConnell again - this affected the atmosphere until Cj banks came out and

Managed to create plenty of heat but insulted a young fan who was wearing glasses!!!!(one step too far)

I saw the kid in tears outside and the security staff trying to calm down who was possibly the kids granddad.

In my opinion Infinite have lost their direction and plenty of fans

Main event was very short-and un memorable

In some parts I think Infinite was just victim to circumstance, i'm sure the venue had it's reasons for shutting down the balcony, something to do with the rejuvenation project? or a management decision? who knows...

The draw could have been so much more, maybe that was down to local RWA and Southside running shows that night.

I can understand why the appeal video was shown, but it was very cold in the venue, and G-Man more or less repeating what was we just heard didn't help.

the first half was OK, it could have been so much better, the opener and the ladies match were too short in my opinion, Banks vs. Ryan was getting good until the abrupt finish, Chardonnay rushed all her moves, good showing from Toni Storm though. Personally I think Timm Wylie and Babyface Pitbull are better singles wrestlers.

I agree with Bone vs. Roberts being Match of the night, Dylan Roberts proved himself to be one of the most under appreciated workers in British wrestling today, it's a shame we don't see him many places.

Angle with Ciaran and Banks went on forever, Ciaran could have said his piece in half the time, Main event was too short Danny Hope has been met with with great acclaim since he branched out on his own, but his first outing as champion was lukewarm.

that's my review in a nutshell, a few things that Infinite could have done better:

-More online advertising, the match announcements came far too late, it would have sparked earlier interest with the internet fans.

-Changed the date, i've only been to one RWA event, but I know some fans attend both promotion's shows, that night their allegiances were torn.

-Give Zack Gibson a higher profile match, he's meant to be Liverpool's #1, (not taking away from Hayes or Garrett, it was a good match)

- An appearance from El Ligero &/or Bubblegum would have made this show way more better

- Allowed more time for the main event, that should have been priority 1.

Now all eyes are on the St. Helens show on 20th March, Frankie Sloan makes his debut, and the fallout from MerseyBeatDown III, though this wasn't Infinite's finest hour, here's hoping that their next great show is right around the corner.

also, here's a video of CJ Banks getting (almost) attacked by a fan, CJ Banks is Liverpool's #1 heel!

If you go here you can get "hey juice" and the "secret show" events, they cost £5 but thry're only up for another couple of days so you could get them from there for now.

The delay by G wasn't ideal but frankie sloan was unavoidably delayed so that impacted on things a bit.

I forgot about the St Helens show. Ive said it many times but Infinite are crap when it comes to social media etc. Their website has been down for months. In 2015 that is inexcusable.

There are still at least 10 front row tickets left for the Liverpool show and the St Helens show THIS Friday. Used to be impossible to get a front row.
