Keith Houchen
I still greet a friend with that dance, then later we shout 50 50 50 for the hell of it.
Paid Members WWFChilli Posted January 28, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted January 28, 2015 There was another one with a white backdrop that used to kill me for the level of acting on display. Proper Priest chat stuff.

Paid Members bAzTNM#1 Posted January 29, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted January 29, 2015 Absolutely hilarious memories. Every teen male around 1995 was doing that dance (in the first post) to take the piss. It was awesome.
Pinc
I was watching a version of Patrick Keiller's London on Youtube (which has now sadly been taken down) the other week, and as it had evidently been taped off Channel 4 in about '95 GayXchange came on several times. Â I tried dialling the number to see if the lads were still online twenty years later, but alas the number is no longer recognised.
Fanny Pack
Bloody hell! 50p in 1995 must equate to at least a fiver in todays money
Paid Members John Matrix Posted January 29, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted January 29, 2015 My favourite thread ever. Because most of what i watched or recorded in my teens was on in the early hours, these ads pop up everwhere on dozens of pre-recorded VHS in my garage.  I too remember the O EIGHT NINE ONE, FIFTY, FIFTY, FIFTY! version best with it's short burst of rave music, no one found that on YouTube yet?  Werent they usually followed by adverts for music compilation CD's featuring Bronski Beat?  Edit - Someone else please post in another thread so the homepage dosent say GayXChange by John Matrix! I remember these ones so vividly. Jo Guest makes an appearance in one.  The Father Ted parody "Priest Chat" is still hilarious in 2015.
Paid Members John Matrix Posted January 29, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted January 29, 2015 You handsome bastard. I'm half inclined to grab that and use it as a ring tone.
Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted January 29, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted January 29, 2015 Is it just me who does a little dance when they hear "0891 ..." adverts? I've listened to it several times on youtube and I cant help but do a little shuffle. And three Daniel Bryan points in the air when it does "50, 50, 50". Moderators PowerButchi Posted January 29, 2015 Author Moderators Share Posted January 29, 2015 I've been saying "50 50 50!" with glee and a deep american accent since about 1998. Â Also, 081. 811. 81 81.
