Dragon Gate X Official Results
---------------------------

B: Yoshino defeated Wild Boar

1: Akira Tozawa defeated Will Osprey*
2: Uhaa Nation bested Lion Kid
3: CIMA & Susumu Yokosuka defeated Naruki Doi & Yoshino

4: BxB Hulk beat Yamato
5: Ricochet & Akira Tozawa beat Mark Haskins & Marty Scurll**

*Akira Tozawa moved to (+5) in his win/loss record

** Tozawa subbed for Rich Swann

A great night of fights, with the incredible Hulk v Yamato PPV match stealing the show (maybe the weekend) Yoshino stepped in to test Wild Boar, with the match being signed straight after the meet and greet. Osprey put in a solid performance but with Tozawa's only UK loss (6-1) coming against Shingo back at Festival of Fire Night 2 it was always going to be a tough debut. With Shingo unable to appear on this tour, the crowd were wondering what happens when you gain a plus five aggregate. They didn't have to wait too long, after dispatching Osprey, Tozawa cashed in his credit and challenged Shingo (7-2) for a Dragon Gate UK title match on the next tour.  Full details will be announced shortly.

Following Lion Kid's request for a fresh opponent Uhaa Nation arrived in style at DG:UK and dispatched the New Forest native with what appeared to be relative ease. Did the Lion under estimate the Nation? With them facing off the following night, he would get a chance to avenge the loss if he did.

Then came another All Star tag match pitting "Speed Muscle" against former Typhoon Stable Mates CIMA and Susumu Yokosuka. Yoshino took alot of convincing to pair with Doi, after the amount of times he has been betrayed, but he put it aside for the UK fans, he missed the 2013 tour and wasn't about to miss this years tour. Doi, was very eager to reform the team for some reason. CIMA needed to start stringing some wins together and a victory here would look good as he would face Doi the next night too. Yoshino and Susumu faced off the last time Yoshino was in Broxbourne at Invasion 3. An excellent contest followed and gained a standing ovation as CIMA added another one in the win column, fittingly over Yoshino just 5 days after Yoshino's victory over him at the World PPV in the International Dream Tag Match

Just 5 days after headlining the World PPV for the Open the Dream Gate Title, new champion BxB Hulk and Yamato faced off in what many fans called the superior match between the two. The crowd made this match unforgettable and Hulk picked up the second win in less than a week over the leader of his former stable Mad Blankey.

The main event was dealt a huge blow earlier in the day with the first time non-appearance of a talent, Rich Swann due to make his DG:UK debut as part of the Inner City Machine Guns with Ricochet, had his flight cancelled when he landed in Canada, to say he was annoyed was an understatement. Despite trying all day, the soonest flight out of Canada saw him touchdown in London, within 5 minutes of the winning fall in the main event. What a main event it was too with Tozawa joining his Monster Express Best Friend Ricochet to battle Team UK's Scurll and Haskins. Who despite falling out on the last show in Castleford had put their differences aside and were in the same book, but not on the same page. Scurll definitely had a different attitude to his team-mate but when for the second time in as many matches Haskins and Scurll's miscommunication lead to Scurll reviving a superkick it was all over bar the shouting as Ricochet picked up a huge win for "team best friends!".

All in all, one of our favourite Broxbourne events and the Hulk and Yamato war is a must see match up!

Marty Scurll 3-8 (-5)

On 26/7/14 Mark Haskins Defeated Marty Scurll, which took him to -5 in the win/loss record and eliminated Scurll from DG:UK

Win / Loss Records Credentials
---------------------------

The W/L records are not simply for show. During the introduction phase we revealed that if you went to Plus 5 on your aggregate you would be able to gain a reward of your choice and if you went to minus five you would be cut from the DG:UK roster. With both situations occurring we can now expand on the rules/situations.

Plus 5
--------

Dragon Gate UK Title.
Shingo (7-2) and Akira Tozawa (8-1) will face off at the next event for the newly created title.
To be eligible to fight for the title you will need to obtain (and possibly maintain) the plus 5 status to be able to fight for the title.

Minus 5
-----------

Should any star lose 5 more than he wins, he will be cut from the Dragon Gate UK roster.
The only way a competitor who has been cut, can rejoin the roster is to be grated a rematch from the person who Eliminated them and record a victory over them, If the request is granted it is a single opportunity. A defeat means a permanent severance from the company. If the appeal is not granted there is not another situation to regain Roster status.

scurll_eliminated.jpg

Marty Scurll Eliminated
--------------------------------
Following Scurll's challenge earlier in the night. Scheduled team mates Haskins and Scurll fought in a no holds barred match, in which Scurll's DG:UK career was once again on the line. The story is pretty simple, Scurll went to 0-3 on the first two tours (as did CIMA) and at Invasion 3, Team UK (Scurll, Haskins and Lion Kid) would face off against Blood Warriors (CIMA, Doi and BxB Hulk) with the losing team sending either Scurll or CIMA to 0-4 meaning that at Nottingham in the CIMA & Partner vs Scurll & Haskins match up, somebody could be cut. Scurll pinned CIMA at Broxbourne and the following night with his career on the line CIMA returned the favour. The third night of the 2011 tour, Scurll faced another Blood Warrior in Akira Tozawa and lost the hard fought match, meaning on the 2013 Night 1 Scurll could be fighting for his career first the first time.

Former Blood Warrior members Hulk and CIMA alongside Team UK member and one of Marty's closest friends, Mark Haskins would all face off in 4 way action with Scurll (Lion Kid would face former BW member Doi in Singles elsewhere on the card) with Scurll knowing nothing other than a victory would keep him from being cut. Haskins did everything other than lay down himself for his partner to ensure that Scurll survived, including taking Hulk onto the stage so Scurll could gain the upper hand on CIMA and ultimately take the victory over the Dream Gate champion in a huge upset. Although an errant superkick did knock Scurll flying, but when it was all said and done, Scurll was safe. The night after Scull and CIMA would have their long awaited Singles battle (with Doi, Hulk, Lion and Haskins finishing the BW/Team UK rivalry from the six) and the loser would be on the bubble again in Castleford. CIMA took the victory and it meant the man who save Scurll's career on the Friday night, was in a position to end it on the Sunday as a pre-agreed match between Haskins and Scurll was already signed.

At Castleford, Haskins and Scurll fought back and forth until Scurll's desperation meant he turned his back on Haskins and their friendship to save his career, it would be the catalyst for his Attitude seen around the country in recent years and a low blow and tombstone later and Scurll was safe, but at what price?. Away from the camera's Scurll apologised to Haskins and seemingly patched up their team as they continued to work together on the Wrestling Store live events, in Bedford, Hove and Broxbourne, although miscommunications from both men lead to at least 5 incidents where their tomfoolery backfired including Scurll eating two more SuperKick's from Haskins when they partnered. So when Dragon Gate arrived in 2014, Scurll and Haskins faced off against Monster Express and while they weren't on the same page, they were at least in the same book. Although Scurll didn't follow Haskins example with the handshaking and rule abiding conduct, they could well have scored the victory over Ricochet and Tozawa if it wasn't another mistimed superkick from Haskins which laid out Scurll for the loss.

It would all come to a head in the proposed 3 way tag team match to start the second night of the 2014 tour and the two collided during the entrances and Scurll flipped, telling Haskins that while they were scheduled to team together, he couldn't trust Haskins as his career was on the line again tonight and they didn't even have to be involved in the fall for Scurll to lose. He challenged his "friend" to a match later in the show, where he could be in control of his own destiny and give Haskins a beating in the process, he also decreed that it could no holds barred. Haskins accepted and one of the most intense, vicious and violent matches in DG:UK history unfolded and a fifth Superkick looked to have settled things early but a back and forth war, with chairs and brutality finally ended with referee Chris Robert's calling the match off with Haskins choking Scurll's career into oblivion with a triangle choke and thus Eliminating Scurll with a 3-8 Win Loss Record.

News and Notes
----------------------

The production, footage and photos are the best we have produced so far. We learnt alot of lessons on these events.
2015 dates are unlikely to be announced before the turn of the year. We won't be running July again.
A couple of Injury scares over the weekend but everybody came through it unscathed.
Rich Swann was very disappointed about being unable to appear on Friday, Genuinely he wanted to compete and was very frustrated.
Was great to have UK standout's Kris Travis and Martin Stone in attendance on the Saturday event.
It was disappointing to have just missed selling out the Friday event, Saturday was our largest attendance in Broxbourne (Biggest venue attendance since ROH in 2006)
The only way to see the Bonus matches for Free is to order the two dvds before September 30th and email us for the two bonus matches.
We're going to have to put a cap on Team UK and solidify the Unit. They have had 4 main members since the first show, but having all UK talent under that banner isn't going to work going forward. The Team UK Unit as of today consists of Mark Haskins, Noam Dar* and Lion Kid, I am sure they will add at least one other member (* Dar subject to some slight contract issues being resolved )For the 2015/6 tour, we're looking at many different venues, some suggested by you, the DG:UK fans.
Let's hear your wish list for DG talent.
Another update is coming tomorrow too!

And finally................

Lastly! A special Thank You to everybody who made DG:UK's 2014 tour a huge success.
