Young Bucks vs Hunter Brothers confirmed eeeeeeeee!

That is going to be a cracker! Saw the Hunters in May and I was impressed. I'll bet a tenner on the team of brothers to win!

They have been on fire this year , for us the two matches with Young Wolves and Flips & Forearms have been very special and the match with Sabin & Ospreay was special as well.

I have every confidence this will be a belter !

One person who should know a thing or two about reigning undefeated in singles matches is Tatanka. Spending 18 months without suffering a single pinfall or submission loss in the WWF in the early 90's, success like that is rarely replicated these days. One person who has quietly amassed an undefeated singles streak over the past year in Southside is the former CZW World Heavyweight Champion, Drew Gulak. Since making his Southside debut he has successfully defended his then CZW World Heavyweight Championship against MK McKinnan, he holds a pinfall victory over then Southside Speed King Champion, Kay Lee Ray and also defeated Dan Moloney in the youngsters break out match in Southside.

Those victories hadn't gone unnoticed by one person. When we reached out to Tatanka to give him a list of all the talent available in Stevenage on Sunday the 12th of April for "Raw Deal 4", Drew Gulak was the name he picked. All streaks come to an end as Tatanka himself knows and he wanted to be the one to give Gulak his first singles defeat. What could be seen as a styles clash, Tatanka proved he could still go inside a Southside ring in his match against Paul Malen and his victory over RJ Singh in Singh's last Southside match before his retirement.

Gulak could have been enroute to a Southside Heavyweight Championship title shot, he could have gone 4 and 0 and petitioned Southside management for that opportunity but now Tatanka aims to be the 1 in 3 of Gulak's Southside singles career. If Gulak does prove to go 4 and 0 then Southside may ultimately reward him with a Southside Heavyweight Championship match. However first he has to defeat the former WWF legend in order to make that a possibility.

STEVENAGE MATCH ANNOUNCEMENT

"The Kentucky Gentleman", "Sexy Chuckie T", Chuck Taylor makes a return UK appearance and will be making his Southside Wrestling debut in April. A two time IWA Mid-South Light Heavyweight Champion, two time IWA Mid-South Heavyweight Champion, a CZW Junior Heavyweight Champion, a two time CHIKARA Campeonatos de Parejas Champion with Johnny Gargano, the 2007 CHIKARA Young Lions Cup winner, the 2009 CHIKARA King Of Trios winner and the 2014 PWG DDT4 winner, Chuck Taylor is no stranger to success. And making kids cry. So when he makes his Southside debut he's coming for the victory. And to make English kids cry. And potentially set off a few grenades.

When we announced Chuck Taylor for our "Raw Deal 4" event in Stevenage on Sunday the 12th of April there was one man who was immediately happy with this debut. There was one man who claimed there was no place in Southside, UK wrestling, or even wrestling in general for Taylor's low-brow American humour and shenanigans. That man was Martin Kirby. He immediately requested a singles contest against Taylor and we were happy to give it to him. Martin Kirby had a record setting run as Southside Speed King Champion but since losing that belt he has been more content to amuse himself in his matches and humiliate his opponents in defeat. Since October Kirby has been undefeated in singles actions so clearly this strategy is working for him as he infuriates and demeans his opponents in the ring.

Chuck Taylor on the other hand is happy to entertain the fans in the ring as well as himself and has shown he can succeed as well. Before Kirby contacted us to request this match this was one potential match up for Taylor we were considering beforehand. Both men, whether Kirby would agree with this or not, have similar styles but wrestle the way they do for different reasons. But at the end of the day when things turn serious, both can turn it up in the ring and will pull out all the stops to achieve the victory. Things are going to get serious in Stevenage. And potentially explosive.
