Its kinda funny how someone who has only played two games online and not tried the multiplayer co-op writes a review slagging the online modes off. Yeah great stuff jisthebest50. Bungie.net logs everything people do btw.
TNA Inception what are you on about ? everything you mentioned is what people do in Halo multi-player. There are radars, if you crouch walk you disapear from radar so people will sneak about and general tactics ? Well in Team Slayer you will see teams locking down areas, controlling power weapons, team shooting and basiclly communicating non-stop telling their team mates where the enemy is, what weapons the have etc etc. Thats not even getting into Team Skirmish which is all about creating different set-ups and tactics for every gametype on every map.
Im starting to believe Moo when he said most people who hate Halo its cos they are shit at it or havent played in properly.

I played a bit of Halo last night. Done the first mission and didnt really understand what was going on but it was fun. Done a couple of online games, got completely mutilated in the first 2 but won the 3rd one. I agree with the menus not being easy, how many online "training" games do I have to do?
Graphically it isnt the best, but its decent enough I thought.

Im not saying its a AWFUL game, its just plain average, I would play online co-op but none of my xbox 360 friends will buy halo 3, I would just ask anyone but Halo 3 doesnt provide that option. Just ebay the game, im sure the game isnt selling at over £100 now. I will complete Halo 3 on legendary on my tod, though it seems mission 8 and 9 were extremely hard on normal, now on legendary should be fun.
Dont get me wrong Halo 3 is a "GOOD" game, it does have decent graphics, game play etc... Its just not a AMAZING that MS and bungie are trying to make out. Apparently Assisns Creed or Cyrsis are going to wipe the floor with any FPS (including goldeneye 64)
I do have more than one account on my 360 you know. Thats why ive only played it twice online as jisthebest50
On Other news:
Dead Rising I hear is only out for the 360, though it was originally meant to be out for the ps3 and pc too. Though if Capcom made Dead Rising with all those zombies look how easily they could do resident evil with mazzives amount of zombies. Though resident evil 5 is looking good with the return of Chris Redfield in some African place where the enemies actually run at you, more like dawn of a dead feel. Res 5 should do well, come on who didnt love Res 4 (though the knife fight was smegging difficult)

Dead Rising was indeed awesome. I think I've seen everything the game has to offer many times and I still like going back in and crushing zombie heads with a rock.
My girlfriend was well into it to, and used to ask me to play it so she could watch. No other game has allowed me to spend so much time on my Xbox

limited to 12 players tops, you cant help any old sap who needs help. Now music, just plain silent. NO music no
grasping, no breath taking action place. Its the same as any other online multiplayer game just done half assed.
Go to UT 2004 for good online fun, or Rainbow 6 vegas or COD 4

It's in preferences or options somewhere. It took me a while to find it.
Does anyone know how else you can watch avi's and live streams through the 360? I've tried TVeristy (as suggested by someone on here) but I'll be damned if I can get it to work. And they don't exactly have a dummies guide on their either.
I can only watch WMV's (which is great if I want to watch HD movies) but if I just want a quick avi/xvid download for a tv show or if I'm watching a live stream (like footie on myp2p.eu) then I have to watch it on my PC monitor.
Any ideas?
ORB is what you are after. Works great.
I downloaded this the other day and been trying to get it to work since. So far no look. I've made sure my firewall and stuff are not blocking it but it doesn't seem to play anything.
Anyone else had any luck with this?

My tips for skate...
If you get pissed off quickly DONT get this game, if you get tick offafter a a few SCORES of attempts DONT get this game.
If you do happen to get this game, MAKE SURE your skate is GOOFY not normal, the game is alot harder with a normal footed skater.
ACTUALLY dont get this game. its take the piss more than Tony Hawk's does, people are having to try over 300 attempts to get one task completed, for a game which requires that much, its CLEARLY not worth it.
SKATE everything but the Stick control is good, just the stick control is extremely poor and i have really lost my rag with the game smashed my pad.
so the Skate disc is now in 2 piece's in the bin along with Halo 3 (only cost me 50p each)
So what a day...
Skate completely takes over annoying me to hell and causing me to destroy my pad.
My pc stopped working due to a hacker wiping a main file (yes i had a strongfirewall)

So its a common thing then? These little bugs in the 360 are really annoying.
Back on to Halo, spent a good amount of time playing it over the weekend and Im really enjoying it. The only thing I have against it is I really find it unfriendly for anyone new to Halo such as myself. The menus and options are really hard to navigate and I dont really get this "playlist" thing. Sure I should just be able to pick what game to do? It keeps throwing up that oddball game that I suck at. And how many players can you have online? I only seem to be able to get 5 player games unless its a team match.
The whole multiplayer interface does seem overly complicated and not very intuitive at all, which suprises me because Xbox Live is usually so simple and easy to use.
Anyway, here's a screenshot of a mate of mine flying through the air after I stuck him with a plasma... absolutely beautiful.

Theater is fucking ace. You can spend ages fiddling with different viewpoints and stuff. Amazing that you can slow the footage right down, and can see the ammo shells scatter from the gun. Here are a couple of shots from me. Think this thread needs more screen shots from people.
From the Sand Dunes level, jumping/falling from that massive platform, and killing someone mid air. Head shot!

Just in case you dont know the level that well, the ledge in the top left of the following pic is where I jumped from:

How I got my Triple Kill achievement (couple of grenades):

Just look at the detail...the ice exploding into the air, the grenades flying in mid air. Same incident, different angle, funny shot of dead guy with his head covered my snow:

Its good so far in. When the game started demanding Tony Hawk's like stupid tricks then the game can get REALLY annoying. It took me 4 hours to do a
a Nollie 360 flip to a grind (The Computer thinks it should do Nollie Pop Shuv-it 90% of the time).
Then a ollie onto a box manual, flip trick to another manual without stopping FUCKING difficult.
Though if you get the game REMEMBER make your skate GOOFY or it makes your game alot harder to complete.
MORE LAG with Halo 3, not impressed. Unless you have a 20meg+ connection between Friends to play CO-OP.

Just bought Street Fighter on arcade, to relive some of my childhood gaming experiences. Holy shit, theyve made it fucking solid. Theyve done it so your opponent is a fucking machine. I was playing Chun Li, and she nailed me with about 5 fireballs in a row, then straight away did the spinning kick attack, and then finished me off with some more fireballs.
As I played it for a bit more, I can NEVER remember them doing this on the SNES/arcade. Anyone who can use a fireball does about 10 per match, usually 3 or 4 in ultra quick sucsession. They are just too fucking fast and good. And on a side note, even in trainning with a motionless opponent, I still cant do the 360 jumping piledriver.

Hey everyone. I've just lost my X-Box virginity and strayed away from Sony for the first time. I bought a 360 off my mate yesterday. It was only a couple of months old, has two controllers and the following games; Dead Rising, Project Gotham Racer, NBA 07, Fifa 07, Madden 07, Fight Night Round 3, Gears of War and Saints Row. I just bought Rainbow Six Las Vegas and I'm considering trading in Fifa, PGR, Madden, Fight Night and Saints Row for Halo 3. But I have a few questions about it.
1. Should I play the first 2 Halo games before playing this one, or can you just jump into this one. Like, its not 100% needed to have played Vice City before you play San Andreas for example.
2. I keep hearing that the game is very, very short and only worth it for online play. Is this true?
3. Like I said, I'm brand new to the X-Box, less than 24 hours into my X-Box life - I wanted it primarily for Dead Rising, Gears of War and Rainbow Six Las Vegas. Are there any other games (bar Halo 3) that people would strongly, strongly recommend?
Thanks for any advice.

Tonight I turned on my Xbox 360 and I got one red light and a black screen telling me to contact Microsoft Customer Support. This was the first time I have had any kind of problem with my 360. I then turned my console off and turned it back on and everything has been playing fine since.

1) Not really but it does help.
2) If you play it on normal it will fly by, on heroic and above it is a much lengthier and satisfying experience.
3) FEAR is easy to pick up cheap and is rather good.

To be honest, you really need Live to get the most out of Halo 3. Ive only played the campaign for an hour or so because the online is pretty much the main part of the game for me and most other people. Its well worth getting live though, you get so much more out of games and your console. As for playing the other 2, I wouldnt say you NEED to. I hadnt played the others, I dont get some of the story but its not stopped me really loving the game.
For other good games, I really enjoyed Bioshock and The Darkness and would strongly recommend those. Burnout for multiplayer was great too
