Also, has anyone played Beautiful Katamari? I downloaded the demo and I thought it was quite good. Does the full game offer more though? As fun as it was, I wouldn't pay full price just for what was in the demo.

Cheers!

I played the Demo and loved it, then bought the full game and it's even more fun smile.gif there's about 15 levels, characters and items to collect and the online is quite good if you can find a server. It is generally the same as in the demo except you can start rolling up buildings and people and cars, then moving higher up onto countries and clouds and planets, eventually making your way into space where you roll up stars and galaxies. It is extremely fun to play and a brilliant stress reliever, though unless you plan on searching for all the hidden stuff it doesn't last long, though the replay value is really high.

Cool, I might pick it up cheap from the amazon marketplace or something if I can.

Anyone up for some Guitar Hero 3 online later? Add me on live and we'll get some games going.

I've got one of the original premium 360's, so I am without a HDMI socket. I'm currently running it through a componant cable to get the best HD picture I can get.

However I have just been told about a HDMI cable converter for the older 360's. My question is, as it's a converter, would it still display the same quality picture as if it was a normal HDMI socket, and is the difference between HDMI & componant noticable?

Component is an analog signal, so the HDMI converter won't make the signal any better. If anything (In theory) you could end up with a worse picture if the converter isn't any good. Stick with component, the picture quality through the official MS component cable is very good and many wouldn't see a difference between it and HDMI anyway.

alright bois

I'm trying to sign up a friend to xbox live which was all done and dusted but it says some rubbish on the Halo 3 matchmaking screen about having multiplayer premissions for him to play? It's only a the free silver membership which might have something to do with it, although my account was silver for a month and I had no problems? ANY IDEAs?

Frank, your first month wasn't silver, it was gold free for one month. Silver members cannot play live games. They can send messages and download demo's but that's it.

Well i cant believe how good this month free trial has been, the Yanks on COD4 are annoying but besides that its all good.
Been playing Vegas 2 a lot really like it, prefer it to COD4 to be honest, but i do love the air strikes in COD4 is a highlight in gaming 4 me.

Youll have to phone them up and speak to a lovely, helpful Indian person who can hardly speak English. 0800 587 1102 is the number for customer support.

Thats really shit. I was planning on signing for a month to give GTA4 a go online once its out, but I'm not sure I want to bother now if I have to phone up bloody customer support to end it after a month.

I was just thinking that. They don't try and take card details anyway if you have a prepay card, so they can renew automatically? If not, I may take that route.
johnnyboy
No, you just input the code off the card - no credit/debit card details taken. You can get the year ones off ebay for around £25.
King_Slim
So hang on after my free trial i need to phone some women, cause i would much rather just get a code and get years subscription.

If you're using your free month then it just goes down to Silver at the end of 30 days. If you're on auto-renew and they've got your card or bank details then they'll keep charging you until you ring up and cancel. If you use a prepay card it will drop you down to Silver when it has expired unless you add another card yourself.
King_Slim
aww ok well thats good will just buy a year subscription then. smile.gif

Has anyone set up a ukff fifa or pro evo league?

is live still shagged ?

all i get is this

w 0000-0008
x 4000-1001
y 0000-0000
z 0000-0000

i use the same ethernet cable for the ps3/laptop/pc or 360 but yet i can't connect to live.

Working fine for me.

So i'll be getting paid my first full pay packet from work at the end of the month and i'm thinking as a treat, i'll buy myself an Xbox 360 Elite.

Now people have tried to sway my opinion and get me to buy a PS3 and i feel in a tight situation. I am leaning towards 360 more because i have more friends that have it and family in America also. So playing online with them sounds alot more appealing than the couple of friends i do on PS3.

My main gripe with a 360 is the fact you have to pay for Live. £40 a year isnt much but its just a spot of bother on my mind as i dont have to pay for online services on the Wii and wouldnt on the PS3 either. Plus i heard 360's dont have a built in WiFi picker-upper (whatever its called)

So what i ask of you guys is persuade me that 360 is the way to go, give me positives and negatives and if you want to be a real diamond, point me in the direction of the best deal available.

Cheers for any of your help guys and with any luck i'll be playing you online soon wink.gif

Surely thats a joke right?
What's to install on a game? You just insert disc and play right? huh.gif

Well I did the deed, I traded in Pro Evo for FIFA. And I'm very staisfied. Me and my friends now have a decent football game to play against each other. It hurt though, because I've been a pro evo guy for years now

I would tell you to go for the 360 purely because there are more people online on it that you want to play against. The online shit is the way forward; you'll be doing a lot of it so I think it's a good thing to base your decision on.

Howcome you want the Elite, though? The Premium should easily be enough unless you have a particularly good reason for needing the bigger Elite? The hard drive is still pretty sizeable on the Premium...

I ask because opting for the Premium would offset the cost of buying Xbox Live and a wireless connector for the Xbox (might even still work out cheaper than the PS3)...

Mainly because i heard there are less cases of the dreaded red ring on Elite than the premium, plus i like the colour of the console. It entirely had nothing to do with the extra disc space but i guess it will be gd for music...

Thanx for your advice

I just bought a plug and play charge kit off eBay. The lead is marked Microsoft but the battery pack doesn't seem to be, says NIKO.
Anyway, I have charged it and am getting the green light to indicate it is charged. However when I try to use it, the ring in the middle of the controller is just flashing green all the time and not performing. Whats all that about?

mattshutter
No, I purchased this several months after buying the Elite.

It's for any Xbox owners smile.gif

Ok sorry, I just realised they've taken it off sale. It may however be on other sites? It was a hell of a deal.
