The Rockers vs Fabulous Rougeaus (from London Arena 1989). One of the top 10 WWF matches of the 80s IMO.
Part 1 Part 2Part 3In particular the first part should be required viewing for any aspiring indy wrestler (ie how to work for nearly 9 minutes, barely touching your opponent, keeping the crowd on their feet for the duration. THAT is working. Not dropping people on their heads for 9 minutes for 10% of the reaction.

Steve Veidor vs. Al HayesPretty clipped, but still a fantastic match. Veidor is one of the most underrated talents ever to come out of the UK, and Hayes is a joy.

I wondered what had happened to him, I remember being quite impressed by him on the FWA:A TV show. I guess going back to SA makes sense for him.

WWF Legends tribute to Attitude era SuperstarsThis is something that WWF/E have always done really well, moving and emotive tribute videos. I don't think this one has been posted before. According to the original poster, Freddie Blassie cried when he first saw this. Not sure how true that is but you could believe it after watching this. A sad footnote to this video is that sadly most of the legends in that video are no longer with us :-(
That video used to be on the TV shows quite often at the time. Thanks for the link, though.
EDIT: This made me remember the Blassie tribute video set to Evanescence's "My Immortal". While it's on youtube already, if anyone could upload it as show on the UK only PPV (I'm thinking Insurrextion) the sunday after Blassie's death, complete with the crowd reaction afterwards, I'd appreciate it.

Funny just as I read your post Gadgetman, I found a home madevideo on youtube set to My Immortal for various wrestlers that have died, probably inspired by WWE!
Also on the best of 2003 Raw they had a video for all the wrestlers that had died in 2003 also set to My Immortal. I'd really like to see that video again, it was tremendous, if anyone knows a link to that, it'd be appreciated.
edit - found the video myself
here
I think the Insurextion tribute vid is on the J&M Wish You Were Here dvd that they did a few years ago, I'll see if I can rip it if it is the right one.

BLUE BLAZER"The Blue Blazer" Owen hart falls from the rafters on a harness - AND LIVES!!! Only to be beaten up my Steve Blackman...
Not a joke - this was a few days before THAT fall when Vince realised "Hmmm... that harness looks rubbish, better find a few one".
That's part of the reason for the accident. He was meant to 'fall' the last few feet of the Over The Edge match for comic effect. That meant not giving him the usual safety precautions, which is why WWE had to ask around to find someone who'd be willing to supply a harness/cable system that wasn't as secure as it should have been.
Where did you hear that? I thought that they had to get the crappy harness release because they wanted him to be able to walk out of it after landing?
I heard that from the Marth Hart book. Not saying that she'll know but wanna know where this other version of the story comes from.

I completely agree. In Chikara his promos are awesome. In CZW though he once said of his opponents; "Me and the Black Out will rape you like women in the street."
