Less Than Jake for sure, got my ticket. I might go and watch Sick Of It All, the crowd is likely to be filled with violence obsessed cunts, but I wouldn't mind seeing SOIA again. I may go and see The Bezerker and Cannibal Corpse on their forthcoming tours. I also REALLY want to go to the one off Filaments reunion show in London but I doubt I can afford it. Other than that, just a load of awesome local gigs.

Oh, and Stiff Little Fingers again too, that should be awesome.
biggstevie
I saw lagwagon the other week but gigs coming out are Anti-Flag Electric Eel Shock & Me FIrst And The Gimme Gimmes. music.gif

I'm going to see Trivium at the beginning of March.

I tried to time a necessary trip to Leicester at a time that I could go and see Disturbed in Birmingham, but alas, it was not to be. sad.gif
FanboyMPW

Just found out Cryptopsy are playing in Manchester on February 7th. Being as awesome as they are, I have no choice but to attend.

At the same venue on March 28th, Decapitated will hopefully be playing. Hopefully they'll have a line up sorted for that and with any luck my new sobriety will allow me to chat to Vogg properly this time.

DECAPITATED: NEW BASSIST
Polish metalheads Decapitated have recruited a new bassist. He's Richard Gulczynski. The band's new line-up will make its live debut on the upcoming Annihilation Of The Wicked US tour. The bill also features Nile, Hypocrisy, Soilent Green, Raging Speedhorn and With Passion.

Only gig ive got tix for at the momment is Hondo Maclean (well there supporting Bleeding Through) in Portsmouth. But i'll hopefully be going Soulfly, Hundred Reasons, Fozzy, Will Haven and possibly My Ruin.

Is that the one in Doncaster?

I might go to that one but I'm not sure if I'm willing to part with the £20(?)

Apart from that I don't think i'll be going to any apart from a few local bands (Undergraduates and Libawalks)

Right, I have the chance to see these fellas at The Custard Factory after I recall seeing their albums in some 'Best of 05' lists. I downloaded some tracks and.. well... what the hell? It's not even overly heavy like I thought it'd be.. just fuzzy and noisy. I read on their web-site that people vomit at their gigs. I may go just to see what people whose job is to clean up sick look like.

As far as gigs go..

Go! Team at our Uni in Feb
The Kooks in Manc in (really just an excuse to go raving afterward but I'm sure it'll be good), Adequate 7 in Derby and Coxon in Lei in Mar.
Toying with checking out The Buzzcocks in Stoke (probably my nearest venue from home) but need to persuade some of the lads to go.

I was also *just* in the process of ordering tickets to see The Fall in Lei but it's on the same shitting day as The Kooks sad.gif.
Stiff Little Fingers would be nice..

For quite a big-ish place, Leicester is shite for gigs.

Oh, and with regards to to The Strokes gig above- your decision may have already been made- all sold out IIRC.

Not heavy! not heavy!! you must be listening on crappy speakers.

You need to listen with headphones (decent ones) and crank the volume up load.

The vomit/shitting thing is just their PR shtick. But basically they experiment with very very low end bass sounds and their is some science behind it that says it affects your stomach and makes you feel like you need to have a crap. So if you do go, go on an empty stomach.

You should go because it will be unlike anything you've heard before and if the venue has decent speakers - you'll be deaf for a week. And buy any merchandise and bung it on eBay. They release a lot of tour only stuff and people go crazy for it. Have a look at completed listings for Earth and SunnO))) vinyl.

Yup, thats right. We will be co headlining this year's Give It A Name festival with MCR on April 29th and 30th. They will be our first big shows in almost a year and a half, so i would be there if i was you.

Here is the line up so far. Our day, which is Saturday in Manchester and Sunday in London is: Us, Taking Back Sunday, Angels And Airwaves, Goldfinger, Panic! At the Disco, Silverstein, Aiden, Classic Case and The Blackout with more TBC

My Chem's day which is basically the opposite days to us will be: My Chemical Romance, The Ataris, Atreyu, Underoath, The Bled, Men, Women And Children, Drive By, Bayside, The Honorary Title and Taint. Maybe with more to add, who knows.

Tickets for Give It A Name 2006 will go on sale Friday, January 13 at 9am. You can purchase tickets online by visiting www.aloud.com or by calling them on 0870 998 8888. I think its about 55 quid for both days, though you'd better check.
