What bookies? And how did you choose your selections?

What bookies? And how did you choose your selections?

William Hills, and i chose them for diffrent reasons

Simon - I went to Southwell Races a few Saturdays back and it absoloutley walked over a race there with a big 1st place price of about £34,000, so it seemed logical to go for it

Little Big Horse - I always look out for when Sue Smith has runners because she tends to do well, LBH stood out because it was a huge price for a horse of its ability, its last 3 races before Saturday were not so good but the conditions didnt suit, Saturday suited it much better and it duly delivered

Nil Desperandum - Really didn't fancy the favourite at such a short price, ND was the pick of the rest of the field for me so i went for it

Cusoon - I remembered seeing it win before sometime and it looked impressive, and it'd won its last 2 races with Baker on board but had come second in its last 2 races without him, so with a Jockey that does well on board the horse which is in good form it seemed a good shout to win again

Well, fair play if you copped £13,000. For a fiver stake that's unreal. Wherever you placed it, their bonus for the year is fucked huh.gif

bAzTNM#1
How do you guys pick your horses?

I generally just watch for the horses that have won at the Course and Distance. Scrub the rest of them. I generally follow the All-Weather too, as I've had a lot of winners from there.

I've been following the same tips as Templegate (The Sun) on that Online Betting Guide site today. He's pretty shit ain't he? Probably around 12 races, as of now, one winner that I can see. sad.gif sad.gif

Losing fake money~~~!

Well done on Cash In Hand, I backed it to win though like a tool. Fair play for the accumulator guy as well. Probably just a bit of jealousy showing through, cos i've not had a winner for two weeks!!!!

I'll try Too Much Talk in the next race at 5.2 on betfair.

Max Power
Have laid 0-0 tonight Reading-Man Utd @13 on Betfair. Surely there's got to be a goal in this one.
tom_da_stag
Ive had a bet on the football tonight with full cover

Chester to beat Hereford @ 6/5

Doncaster to beat Yeovil @ 23/20

Oldham to beat Blackpool @ 5/6

West Brom to draw with Middlesborough @ 21/10

11 bets in total with a £10 stake coming to £110

6 Doubles, 4 Trebles and a 4 Fold

If they all come in it makes just over a Grand
Stylin_and_Profilin
Man U have came up from their usual 1/2 to 8/11 in some places over the last day or so...........suspicious, especially with Reading playing their squad players.

Tom quit while your ahead man, thats an insane amount for a Yankee. Yeovils recent away form has been excellent and Oldham took a big nose dive recently - take a few weeks off to savour the big win.

I'd also advise Grand Symphony in the 3:30 at Southwell too

I think the more you watch the all-weather, the more you see certain jockeys ruling others. Neil Callan, for instance, has the knack of riding whichever track he chooses brilliantly. And he never gives up. Liam Jones, a claimer, is my favourite jockey. He rides beautifully, his timing is spot on. More importantly, he can get a horse with no chance into the money. In my opinion, with the claim as well, he's the best all-weather jockey riding. I rang Hills (who I work for) for a price on him ever being champion flat jockey - they refused! They is running scared ~
sivy
i agree with you on callan. i've backed a number of wins back of the callan/ryan combination, mainly at double figure odds.

I just used Betfair for the first time, to put some money on Randy for this weekend's UFC show, but just had a thought. When the result of your bet comes in, do they send an email? I don't want a "CONGRATS, YOU WON SOME MONEY" email spoilerising my inbox, or a "LOL YOU JUST LOST".

Has anyone used them before, and does this happen? Thanks.

Only bet I lost, on the Online Betting Guide, was that Sheff Utd - Everton draw. I'm on a football winning streak I think. I even won betting on the result of the first half of Barca - Seville. Awesome stuff, even if its for fantasy money.
