Can someone give me a "nutshell" of what this is? After watching about 6 minutes I thought it probably wasn't aimed at me, I'm still curious though.
As far as I understand it, its a call to arms to rid the world of Joesph Kony, an African Warlord who, abuses and uses kids for armies, prostitution etc. The claim is to get military intervention to stop this from happening, which in turn would mean them fighting the very kids they are trying to protect
Read Lion of the Midlands link, its a great countenance to the current brouhaha.
As an aside, the whole abuse of children in Africa, using them as Soldiers, raping and pilliaging is hardly a 'new' issue. Newsround covered it loads on Newsround Extra iirc, whilst I was growing up. So why now? The cynic in me wants to say 'First World Guilt'.
Dont China weild alot of power in Africa these days? What would be their stance on this kind of thing?
