5. The artist we had come to give a talk at our uni yesterday. He did these mixed media pieces where he's painted murals then doodle over them with bizarre illustrations and stick on things cut out from magazines. All fair enough, although as he got on to his later works there seemed to be more and more phallic & pornographic imagery. Again, pretty standard, but as he went on that seemed to be all his work had turned into. Just fields of massive erect cocks cut out from porn mags and blown up to terrifying sizes, paintings of the lines on his scrotum, paintings of the artist pulling a goatse painted on a gallery ceiling. All done without a hit of irony.

Every slide was left up for an uncomfortable amount of time while he talked about the materials he used, his inspirations, but never once did he reference the shear amount of dick he'd seemingly devoted his career to. After the talk he did a brief Q&A, and you know what? no one else mentioned the subject matter either. We'd just spent 45 minutes very literally having cocks thrust in our faces and no one else seemed to batter an eyelid. Is there something wrong with me that I thought it was the slightest bit off? Is it now normal to spend your life cutting out 6 foot shlongs and sticking them over perfectly fine paintings? Is this the type of person out tutors want us to aspire to be like? I think HiroNakamura should start a thread called "Help me to live my life" and then he can post all his questions about working, college, music and whatever else crosses his mind in one convenient place. It'll be helpful for both him and I as he'll be able to limit his posting in off-topic to one thread and I can avoid it altogether.

I really didn't find much comedy in that thread aside from a few gags highlighting the potential of the idea.

had my 1st day on xbox live yesterday.

is pretty good. downloaded the new alien demo which was good and got the south park game i ve been after.

as for playing online. its been a little bit shit. 1st i tried raw vs smackdown 2010, its so crap online, seems to be a delay on what ever you do. at 1st i though it was just me but the guy i was playing told me there are loads of bugs. took on some french guy in a tag match which was ok but had a shit match against some american who was playing as a CAW of Brock lesnar in a cage match all he kept doing was f5-ing me i counted 16 until i messaged him saying "just pin me" to which he reliped "i m gonna kill you". so i sat throgh 4 more f5's than i quit. he messaged me saying "your shit".

Just got back from the petrol station and that human torch guy from the Fantastic 4 film was there. I tried to get his autograph but he just kept rolling around on the floor screaming.
