Dynamite Duane
One of my faves returned last night to BBC 3 - Last Man Standing. Great show involving fighting sports and other cultures, the last series was a real cracker with this one looking just as good so far starting off with the stick fighting in Africa.

Bruce Parry in the Amazon - another interesting programme set in a part of the world totally alien to everyday British life.

Dawn Porter - her series for Channel 4 continuing her quest as a single woman trying out stuff that's of a sexual nature wink.gif
Last night's was very interesting when she became a Geisha girl but a let down in the sexy department.

Heroes - the 3rd series on the beeb so far is much better than the last series which was a bit of a let down after the first series I reckon.

Keith Lemon's Celebrity Juice - Leigh Francis of Avid Merrion Bo Selecta fame is a genius, he's one of my fave funny men on telly tongue.gif

Paul Merton in India on Channel 5 - I love weirdy stuff like this biggrin.gif A Yogi wrapped his willy around a pole then tucked it behind himself so his mate could perch himself behind him! Merton smoked some gear with them aswell.

There's only two shows that I'm following on TV at the minute, and that is new Heroes on BBC and America's Next Top Model on Living - will anyone ever during the whole series manage to pronounce Katarzyna's name correctly?

New South Park as they come out on the web is a must also.
Gladstone Small
I'm watching the Dawn Porter series too, and it's been okay but I'm more interested in her arse, to be honest.

Celebrity Juice is absolutely shockingly awful. As for anything else, well, there's the Stephen Fry series which is a no-brainer for entertainment and the new Dispatches series has been rather good too. Massive was also very good but that's finished now. Other than that it's a mixture of snooker, cricket, football and repeats of South Park. Having said that, series 12 starts this Friday, I believe, so I'll be on that too.

Breaking Bad on FX. It’s about a high school chemistry teacher called Walter White, who learns he has lung cancer and only has a couple of years to live. To earn some money to support his family after he dies he uses his chemistry knowledge to make crystal meth. Bryan Cranston, Hal from Malcolm In The Middle, is amazing in the lead role It’s dark but also quite funny in places, it’s similar in tone to Dexter.

Double Post ..... Whoops.
ScottT07
Bear Grylls, The new series.

I think its great.Programs like this make me think i want to actually get stuck in some desolate land, in reality i'd be fucking useless

Last Mand Standing.

I also enjoyed the last series, and this one looks as if it will be just as good. I'm not a fan of the preppy bloke though.. he needs to be owned soon.

On TV Right now?

Heroes S3
Dexter S2 (Repeats, missed one episode in the first run)
Deadliest Catch Opilio (Season 4 I think, the one where Phil is taken out)
Shamwari Diary
X-Factor - Yes.... although my interest is waning fast.

Also watching:

The Shield (on DVD, upto season 4 - Noticed S7 is running in the US not sure when it's on over here)

Started recording Burn notice then my sky started messing up again so missed it.
HentaiLover1994
Heroes, Supernatural & Hollyoaks.
Yes, Hollyoaks.
I know it's a soap but the other half was watching it and I've enjoyed watching the psycho on it.
Can't wait to see which McQueen he kills.

CW Saton
Peep Show box set. Twenty quid from Zavvi, a fine purchase and a good deal.

At this very moment I'm watching the Family on Channel 4. Not exactly a good show, but what an ugly family, but at the same time, the middle daughter Emily would so get it....massive tits and she seems so dirty. I can see there being some filth about her hitting the press soon, could imagine her to be a right shag bag.

Y'know...right now I think we're in a bit of a lull as far as good TV goes. My current highlights of the week are Grey's Anatomy and the ever-brilliant Entourage. I'm also enjoying Breaking Bad so far and Fringe has started well enough, but apart from that there's a bit of a dearth. I mean, I'm still watching a lot more than those I've mentioned, but really nothing's too exciting.

Oh, except maybe Stephen Fry in America. I'm all about that.
Daniel Fitch
From a quick look at my Sky Plus planner....

Breaking Bad... looks very good, a different idea and very funny so far. In a twisted kinda way.
The Restuarant... contestants aren't as good as last year, but still a fine reality programme. Far funnier and supperior to the likes of Big Brother.
BlackAdder specials. Really enjoying these.
Never Mind the Buzzcocks, can't say I miss Bill Baily but Mark Ronson was dire. Will hopefully pick up.
The Riches.... shame it was axed, Eddie Izzard was fantastic in this.
Jamies Ministry of Food... More of what you'd expect. But I cant help but like Mr Oliver.
The Daily Show.... With the US elecction forthcoming this show is funnier than ever, and thats saying something.
FoneJacker... more miss than hit than the last series, but still v funny.
Sunshine... best drama I've seen in two/three years. Very good.
Ultimate Fighter.... They seem to have picked a lot of jackasses this year to make up for the fact that the coaches have no personality.

The rest is made up of usual stuff... wrestling, Neighbours (~), and football.

Fringe - Just saw the first one, liked it, potential is there.
Prison Break - Started off a bit annoyingly but has picked up a bit, still loving T Bag's character.
Dexter - Not sure how long they can keep it going but there've been a few twist so far, season 2 was so good that they'll have trouble topping it.
True Blood - Really enjoying this so far, it's a vampire drama with rednecks.
Heroes - Only saw the first 2 episodes of this season, need to see more to decide whether it can return to season 1's form.
My Name Is Earl - I watch this out of habit more than anything else, it's good background TV, still has it's moments.
Chuck - Only seen first episode, didn't seem as funny as season 1.
Dirty Sexy Money - Enjoying this so far, good light hearted comedy.
Tequila_Boy
Big Bang Theory
JNLister
Natural Born Sellers (ITV on Thursdays) - basically the Apprentice but no teams and its selling every week. Partly because its got compelingly cunty characters, and partly because it's quite literally the Apprentice produced by ITV and thus wonderfully lame.

No Heroics (ITV 2 on Thursdays) - basically Heroes the sitcom, but far funnier (and more offensive) than it has any right to be, plus plenty of geeky jokes in the background (the bar serves Shazamstel)

The Pick Up Artist (torrents) - back for a second series and a reality show where the whole 'contestants saw a previous series' actually works out better because they all know the lines and routines, but have no clue about the psychology behind it. Plus you get the comedy of people trying out pick-up lines that have already been broadcast on national TV.

I watched episode 2 of the new Buzzcocks today, much better than the first.

I love Fry anyway, but he was simply wonderful. Sure, he didn't fit whatsoever, but that's kind of what worked.

Cleared the first season of Dexter this week. Fantastic show, really enjoyed it. I saw the ending and how it would play out long before it happened, but the strength is often in the execution (lol pun), with outstanding acting and pacing throughout. Aside from the kid who plays Cody I've been impressed with every performance so far. Mad propz for using actors and actresses from "Oz" too. I've seen Cyril O'Reilly, Doctor Nathan and Enrique Morales so far. Michael C. Hall is near-perfect, his sister is extremely likeable and Julie Benz's performance is hearbtreaking. Feel the need to mention David Zayas as Batista too, simply because his character is so far removed from Morales in Oz (the only other role I've seen him play) and yet it somehow doesn't distract me from getting behind this character.

Curious to see how Season 2 fares given than it's an original story rather than adapted from one of the novels. Although the first season makes quite a few changes to the first book, the novel still provides the basic spine of the plot, so it'll be interesting to see how the writers do with an original plot. Hope it works out.

Nice to know me and Mrs Sun aren't the only ones watching this. It's very good indeed.

I'm on some crazy late nights at the moment, so I have a Sky+ box full of stuff to watch, including, but not limited to, Entourage, No Heroics, multiple Daily Shows and Colbert Reports ("Multi-Grain"), Heroes and Fringe.

I saw the Fry in America thing and, while I enjoyed it I can't help but feel they've hacked a 26-part series down to three or four episodes. He seemed to whizz through half-a-dozen states in an hour and it all felt a bit rushed and perfunctory.

Dawn Porter on Channel 4
FoneJacker (Season 2)
South Park (Classic Episodes)
Famous Mortimer
I scour the torrent sites every couple of days for the new shows. Stuff I'm watching:

Fringe
Life
House
Chuck
Pushing Daisies
Knight Rider (utter rubbish, of course, but fun rubbish)
Supernatural (keeps getting better, I think)

Thanks to this thread, I’ll have some “No Heroics” waiting for me when I get in too.

Nobody catching Sanctuary and/or new series of Jericho?

Both marvellous programmes smile.gif
Famous Mortimer
I watched the original web-only series of "Sanctuary" and enjoyed it, and also thought the opening double-episode on Sci-Fi was great too. I need to check for more episodes when I get in. It's got potential, I think.

QUOTE (wiki)
ReGenesis is a Canadian television program produced by The Movie Network and Movie Central in conjunction with Shaftesbury Films. The series revolves around the scientists of NorBAC (The North American Biotechnology Advisory Commission), a fictional organisation with a lab based in Toronto. The organisation investigates problems of a scientific nature, such as bio-terrorism, mysterious diseases or radical changes in environment throughout Canada, the United States, and Mexico. NorBAC is headed by David Sandström (played by Peter Outerbridge), the chief scientist and molecular biologist. Through this character the show often addresses topical social, political and ethical issues related to the science at hand.

Looks interesting.

Starts next Wednesday on FX.

There’s a new kid playing Cody in the second season, and I’d say he did a good job.

I agree with SiMania that the second season is even better than the first. And I’m looking forward to seeing Season 3. Although I do wonder how long they can keep it up, and hope that it’s one of them shows that ends before the quality dips too much.

I'm so tempted to start downloading season 3 of Dexter. Upto Episode 3 is available. Season Two was stonking Lila was such a messed up character.

I agree, and I thought Jamie Murray played her really well, even though I’d seen some negative opinions about her from a few people. For me Doakes was the best character in season 2. The scenes with him and Dexter were fantastic.

While I agree there were times when it felt really rushed, at the other end of the spectrum it's debateable whether there's really that much that is either culturally interesting or, perhaps more importantly, recognisible to the average viewer about each one. Most of the New England states are incredibly small and don't really carry the same romanticism that you have with the Deep South, Mid-west or West Coast regions thus by condensing them into little snippits it stops the show dragging too much. It's a difficult balancing act trying to feature enough without it starting to drag, although to be honest I think three or four is a bit short. A six or seven would have been my personal preference but i'm still really looking forward to the next one.

I'm currently also enjoying the other series about America that's airing in Fridays. I can't remember the name of it off the top of my head but I enjoyed last weeks on water and the mid-west. It compliments the more light hearted Fry series perfectly for me. Takes me back to my uni course. Memories...

Pretty much the only other new thing I watch regularly is Buzzcocks. I didn't think Mark Ronson was as bad as everyone claims he was. Granted he wasn't as good as Stephen Fry the new week but then his team didn't exactly help him in that department.

There's a lot of seriously good characters in Dexter, there's a lot of scope for the future although yes, Doakes is probably the best character in season 2 biggrin.gif

The Showstopper
TV shows am watching at the mo are:

Prison Break: (s4) I still quite enjoy it, still quite early into the season i guess.

Sarah Connor Chronicles: (s2) Enjoyable season so far.

Heroes: (s3) Much better than season two, and alot more darker, still quite predictable in some parts tho, but when its good, its really good.

One Tree Hill: (s6) Dunno why i enjoy this programme as much as i do ? getting a bit to comedic tho.

Fringe: (s1) Loved the pilot and have been following it ever since.

The Shield: (s7) Final season of this great show, seems to be going out on a high

Supernatural: (s4) Quite early in, been good so far

Smallville: (s8) see above /\ might be time to end it after this season tho

Stargate Atlantis: (s5) Final season of this also, perhaps the weakest season yet IMO

Sanctuary: (s1) Was originally watching this for Amanda Tapping, turns out it aint all THAT bad.

I love Dexter, has to be my favourite show of recent time, his character is just so complex and intriguing. My girlfriend asked me to describe the show to her, the only thing i could say was that he is "a nice serial killer who only kills the bad guys" and tried telling her theirs just so much more to it than that. Sadly I never sold it to her well enough. Michael C Hall has been fantastic as Dexter, when it eventually finishes I can see him having a more successful career because of it.

The only thing I didn't like about Lila, was the actress playing her, i thought she was a terrible actress. Hot as hell and very good character, but to me she was trying to be like Amy Winehouse but just not having any charisma to pull the character off

As for other shows I'm watching

South Park
Heroes
Burn Notice
Breaking Bad
Fringe
LaGoosh
I only finished Dexter season 2 a couple of days ago and thought it was fucking brilliant. Season 1 was good but had some terrible filler (and Dex's sister was really bad in it too) but in season 2 every seemed a step up with all the side plots linking up to the main plot and Dex's sister actually being a good actress and adding to the show rather than taking away from it, it had a real "what the fuck is going to happen next week?" cliffhangers that season 1 didn't really have and the final scenes with Dexter and Doakes were fucking brilliant. I don't know where season 3 can go from this but hopefully it keeps up the quality.

I only really started watching it this year because of my insomnia. I would have E4 on through the night (pre-Big Brother) and it was background noise which sort of weedled its way into my existence. I'm not happy about it like because I have a general hatred of all things Superman related (though not as much as I hate all things Spidermand related)... It's also thanks to my insomnia that I started watching Scrubs which I seemed to always miss due to never being home when it was on. Silver lining and all that! biggrin.gif

Strangely I'm enjoying the Gilmore Girls re-runs. Not like me to watch such girly type nonsense but meh! I like it.
