Also, forgot to say:

Rob Lowe
I didnt get emotional because I imagine he'll be making the occaisional appearance in the future. Was a good episode though.

Interesting times ahead for the show. Will the next season be a quick death or a hilarious rebirth? I dont envy that writing team.
TripleA
Oddly enough it was the stuff with Dwight that got me confused.gif

Anyone see this docufim on More4? I Sky plussed it and watched it this morning. Part of their True Stories season.

QUOTE
Catfish

When New York photographer Nev Schulman receives a painting based on one of his photographs from Abby, an eight-year-old child prodigy in Michigan, they become Facebook friends, and Nev develops online relationships with Abby's family, in particular with her attractive elder half-sister Megan.

But is everything as it seems? Nev travels to Michigan to find out.

A reality thriller that is a shocking product of our times, Catfish is a riveting story of love, deception and grace within a labyrinth of online intrigue.

True Stories commissions and showcases the best international feature documentaries.

It's not available on demand but there's a good chance it may well be repeated, I recommend it.

Anyone else been watching Game of Thrones on Sky Atlantic? I'm not 100% sure what the hell is going on with some things, but I'm enjoying it.
RJ Impact
I watched 'Catfish' it was a decent watch that got the drama going, didnt go how I thought but worth a watch and shows the pitfalls of FB & Twitter etc.

I haven't but I found out that Roxanne McKee gets them out in it so it obviously has something going for it.
Chest Rockwell
I have no idea who Roxanna McGee is, but I've seen the first three episodes and there has been a lot of tits so far.

I was unsure about this show after 2 episodes but after watching the 3rd last night I'm sold on it. There's some great characters, and an absolute cunt who I can't wait to see get his comeuppance.
Dai
After watching the first Michael-less episode of The Office, I still think theres easily life in the show without him. I think the general opinion was that most of the main characters were getting a little stale, so introducing a new boss will breathe new life into them (as it did with Jim when Charles Miner appeared). Jim and Pam sucking up to Ferrell is an example of this.

Kevin was featured more in this episode than nearly any other one in the shows history. Plus you had great lines by Gabe, Kelly and Ryan, and Darryl.

The new boss is almost guaranteed to be great. I was thinking back, and I cant really remember any new character they have introduced to be bad. Andy, Karen, Erin, Holly, Charles, Gabe (who's turned into a superrb character). All have been done superbly.

On another note, Parks and Recreation has been brilliant for the new season. They have the golden trio of Leslie, Swanson and Tom, backed up by loads of other great characters. Ben and Chris being permenent characters has also healped things. The suprise wedding episode was genius. THIS is one of the funniest things Ive seen for a while, too. Plus the Leslie/Ben romance has been done very well.
Ebb
been watching Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura, the subjects on there was really interesting and they make you think, but the way it's done is pretty annoying, too many actors and pre-written scripts for my liking.
Hyperion
I know its on TV right now but after wanting to see it for about 6 years I bought the DVD set of Blade: The Series because its actually unrated/18 rated for UK rather than the tamer TV version. And you know it was well worth the £8 I paid. They really did it well, TV shows spinning off films normally are shit but I was impressed with this. Seems the main minus is that it got canned after 1 Season but that was apparently because Spike TV was still new and the episodes were costing the best part of 2 million dollars each. Seems a shame considering all the lesser vampire shows that have run on much longer.
A poll done on IMDB asking Blade fans if they liked it, has so far yielded 128 Yes votes and 26 No votes. Some peoples complaint is about Kirk 'Sticky Fingaz' Jones portrayal of Blade compared to Snipes. My view is fuck that noise, Jones does a better version of the comic book Blade if you ask me while still being loyal to the films version. TV is a different matter to films, it just won't work if Blade is effortlessly killing dozens of vampires each week, its okay to have less vampires that are tougher to beat up.
Also the show was filmed in High Definition and the SFX are probably better than in the first movie, so it still looks good in 2011.
Anyway I expected the wad to be blown on the pilot and it to go downhill but I got the opposite, I think it got better, there's lots of story, lots of well fleshed out characters with their own agendas and thankfully the final episode doesn't leave such a huge cliffhanger you feel disappointed or robbed of a ending, sure a TV movie tying things up would have been nice and people are still campaigning for a Season 2 years later but for me, I was satisfied and that was a worry after getting so engrossed in it. Deffo worth a look if you are a Blade fan or just like Vampire shows.

Did no-one else watch the 1st episode of the new series of Psychoville? It wasn't advertised much, i would of missed it if my brother didn't tell me it was on a few hours before.
Really good first episode. Lots of things happening, a few new characters and the creepiness upped even more (not now silent singer!).
King Pitcos
I caught it only by spotting it on a torrent site or iPlayer or something, I'd no idea it was coming back on. It was very good.

Indeed. I must admit to watching The Only Way Is Essex, its my guilty pleasure. However, this is just a rubbish copy of it. The one thing that saves TOWIE, is that it knows its shit.

How I met your mother season 6. Just finished the episode where
Tears were actually shed. I'm such a girl.

Episode 6 of Game of Thrones is absolutely superb. I've been properly reeled in.

The Event Finale was pretty awesome. I really hope this does get picked up by someone else. The final images were amazing.

What has been the forums opinion on South Park Season 15 been? I think it's the best yet. Crack Baby Basketball was just nuts.

The royal wedding one for me was awesome. The I-Pad one was mince.

Any love for NCIS on here? I'm on channel 5 pace (mid season 7), so no spoilers please, but its one of the best things on TV. I started watching season 1 about a year ago, and have got caught up since then. great characters.

Plus the lovely Ziva David inlove.gif
And before her Kate inlove.gif inlove.gif

Is NCIS LA any good? The crossover episode with NCIS around season 6 made it look a bit too far fetched with the tech, but going from watching 2-3+ eps a week to just one has left a void.

All Watched Over By Machines Of Loving Grace the latest 3 parter from Adam Curtis. Brilliantly, if scattershotly put together. Put it this way, I think he is amazing but I think Duane does too. For different reasons I might add.
spotlightmagnet1
You mention NCIS and not mention the vision that is Pauley 'Abbey' Perrette? I admit I'm not too into goth girls but for her I'd make an exception. Hubba hubba.

Just finished watching a documentary on BBC1 about abuse of patients in care homes. Involved an investigative reporter getting a job and using a secret camera to record all kinds of levels of abuse in there, all very openly and performed pretty much by every member of stuff. Im not usually affected by this kind of thing but it genuinely was disgusting, was heartbreaking watching the parents watching footage of their children being abused in a care home. Awful.
Tommy Atkins
I was watching that with no sound at the gym and it was making me angry even though I couldn't hear it. The relatives sat watching it just look devastated. The way care homes are run in this country is a fucking disgrace, the owners of the home are getting £3500 per resident per week and then employing untrained staff on minimum wage who don't give a shit about their job.

Is Mad Men any good? It's got a fair few amount of actors I enjoy in it, but I've not heard much about it.

Last night I watched Egypt's Lost Cities, which is well worth keeping an eye out for a repeat (it'll be on BBC something).

In a nutshell, archeology lady is using satellite imaging and infra-red to locate remains of buildings and settlements buried beneath Egypt. Highlights include her discovering a further 7 pyramids, and the site of some simple huts that are now so far away from civilised areas, that nobody had been there for centuries and thousand-year old tools and artifacts were just lying on the surface.

Wonderful stuff.

It's cracking.
Lion_of_the_Midlands
The addition of Charles Dance as Tywin Lannister in GoT is cracking. An actor who really knows how to play a bastard
Tommy Atkins
Mad Men is excellent. It's a shame there's no new episodes til next year.

Louis Theroux's Documentary on Prison life in Miami is pretty good so far. I also recently watched Strangeways which shows a complete contrast as to how easy British prison life is to get through compared to others.

Isn't Theroux's documentary specifically about jail (where they're held while awaiting trial) as opposed to prison itself (where they go after they've been sentenced)?

May I just ask if anyone else is watching Paul Merton's Birth of Hollywood? Thus far I think it's been a cracker. I'll admit I'm constantly interested in old hollywood and films, and this has been very good. Paul Merton is a great narrator as well.

Parks & Recreation has been recommended to me various times, not least on this forum.

Having watched the first three episodes this evening, I have to ask...does it get any better?

I think over the course of three episodes I laughed twice. The main character just seems ridiculously stupid - i.e. so far fetched that she's just not funny. Also, it just seems like a poor knock-off of The US Office.

Hopefully the one similarity it has to The US Office is that it's a slow starter?

Fingers crossed anyway...

Stick with it. It really comes into it's own in the second season. I love it, hence the sig and avatar.

I suspected it has to get better than the third episode of series 1. That was just painful.
Fox Piss
Went to watch Treme lasted 20 mins.
Cobra1000
did anyone watch Area 51: I Was There? over the weekend?

Also I finally got around to watching Dexter, got 1 episode to go in the 1st Season. Think it is fantastic so far and am looking forward to watching the 2nd season.

Also downloaded all of Battlestat Galactica which I can't wait to watch too. Thats my summer...
TripleA
On series 2 of 30 Rock. The Seinfeld Vision episode was great.

I have just got really addicted to watching Man vs Food on Good Food Channel

Been rewatching the last season of the shield recently superb from start to end i dont think the shield actually had a bad season.

I need to watch The Shield, never gotten around to it. Also, change your bloody signature!

Anyone watched Breakout Kings? Was browsing around some Prison Break pages, and noticed that the guys behind it have made this show. Seems to have a pretty decent rating on IMDB, and the idea doesnt exactly seem a mile away from Prison Break.

Watched the first episode of Angry Boys, which was pretty decent. Someone told me its airing on BBC3 already, so will watch it on there instead of downloading it.

For a bit of mindless TV before bed, Ive started to watch Cops on CBS Reality. Theres a 50% chance that the featured bust is boring, so its handy to record it so you can FF any shite. Sometimes it will strike gold and have a great case, and watching car chases is always fun.
CAREBEAR LUVVA
I've been rewatching random episodes of Breaking Bad. It's just so fucking good. And the great news is they've finally announced a date for the start of season four - July 17th!
