Just seen Robocop and Sting in the worst attire thread, does anyone know who played Robocop in that segment? I'm assuming Peter Weller wasn't up for it

This'll be the first year in a while I haven't had Sky or Virgin to order the Rumble. What are WWE like with shutting down streams for it?

And while we're at it, in preparation, what are they like for Mania?

Last year i got through the whole event no problem, couldn't tell you what it's like for 'Mania though as i always pay for it

Did Shawn Michaels have any televised matches between the Rockers breakup and the '92 Rumble?

I don't think so. I remember having this same thought a while back, and if memory serves, other than some SWS/WWF crossover stuff where he teamed with Japanese guys or WWF heels (which I don't think was televised), they had loads of Rockers stuff already filmed from December (including the Barber Shop segment) that carried the breakup on TV all the way to the Rumble.

Again, I'm going off memory a bit here, but IIRC, they filmed the Barber Shop segment well early in December, and The Rockers still did a shitload more house shows together safe in the knowledge that the breakup segment wasn't going out on TV until early '92.

Going by the historyofwwe site, I think you're right, although i'm a bit surprised as I would have guessed otherwise and said he'd had a Superstars or Challenge debut in the new gimmick.

You're definitely right regarding the Rockers still teaming for a while after the barber shop incident was filmed, as I remember finding out a few years back that the barber shop incident was actually taped at the This Tuesday In Texas taping.

Was Jannetty gone by the Rumble, or was he just being kept off tv to sell the injury before returning to build to WM8? I always wondered whether the he was planned to make an appearance in some way. It wasn't the type of incident that absolutely needed a long layoff, they could have given him a brutus/virgil mask or something

Why do WWE have Referees Inside the cage In cage matches. It seems unnecessary .
WWE seemed to start this practice In the 90's,before that they only had referees outside the ring.

On an episode of Superstars at the start of 92 at the end of the show they said Jannetty would be on the show in action the next week, and he wasn't and disappeared until the end of the year seemingly.

Pretty much spot on, back then it was usually about 4 weeks of TV filmed at tapings and with the Rumble happening on Jan 19th that year and the Barbershop incident airing on IIRC Jan 6th, then you don't need Michaels wrestling singles matches. They had other stuff to build up and I'm sure it more than likely got a mention on Mean Gene's update segment.
JNLister
Checking the history of WWE site, the Barber Shop angle aired on the 12th on Wrestling Challenge. It was then re-run on Superstars the following weekend, which was the weekend of the Rumble.

Interesting, cheers. So if what was probably planned a few weeks in advance came to fruition, the Rumble could have been even better as Jannetty and the Hitman would no doubt be involved.

Not a bad couple of matches for the heartbreak kid to begin and end his career in....

Anyone know what's happening with Martin Stone? Is he still injured? Has he left the business?

Haven't heard anything about him on any shows for what seems like ages!

Besides the multi-gimmick cage match with Ted DiBiase, can anyone recommend me some good Jim Duggan matches? If they were online as well, that would be super.

Funnily enough, a few weeks ago there was one, but I don't remember who it was I'm afraid. The reason I recall is was that just before I watched the show, I had been pondering when that set-up became the WWE standard, and was considering asking that question in this very thread.

He was booked last April for PBW(?) but pulled out to have his knee surgery.

He was booked for IPW:UK at the end of November to face Eddie Edwards, but pulled out as he in himself felt he wasn't at 100%.

He was booked for PCW at the end of Feb but pulled out again for unknown reasons and there doesn't appear to be any definitive time scale for his return to the ring.

In Nov IPW:UK were saying that Stone only wanted to face the best talent while he was still available to them for what it's worth.......

A few enjoyable ones from YouTube.

Jim Duggan vs Vader (Starrcade 94)
Jim Duggan & The Fantastics vs Steve Williams, Ted DiBiase, Hercules Hernandez
Jim Duggan vs Butch Reed
Ted DiBiase & Steve Williams vs Terry Gordy & Jim Duggan

By all accounts his stuff from GCW in 1981 or so is good, but I've haven't seen much of it at all so I wouldn't know.

wwe.com says Sky Box Office on their 'how to watch' section of the Elimination Chamber mini-site. Sky however say Sky Sports HD1 on an article about Sheamus http://www1.skysports.com/news/14203/74717...yal-appointment so likely to be on sky sports but could be either.

I asked in here because WWE.COM is often wrong about British TV information. Not only that, but the way their website is set out makes it incredibly hard for me to find out simple International information. So I just thought it'd be much easier and for the sake of time to ask in here, that way me and others in the same situation who don't want to waste time searching that site for what seems like hours on end, have a simple and ready answer. Thank you very much.

Alright guys, got a mate looking to buy the "Hot Rod" logo as an iron-on transfer for some t-shirts he's doing. Does anybody know where you can get such things. I think he's keen on getting the transfer itself rather than ordering shirts to be made off a site.

You can buy sheets of transfer 'paper' from most stationary places, like WH Smiths etc. Then you print from your PC onto them, and voila. I bought some about 10 years ago.

No chance Butch. I fucking hate that cunt (Piper, not my mate). In this case, the guy in question is sorting a stag do for a lapsed wrestling fan which I think is due to take place in Edinburgh. Hence about twenty Roddy Pipers, I'd guess.

Can't get away with him at all. I find him infuriating now as a rambling old gobshite when he returns to TV or does Roundtable/Vintage Collection stuff, and his old work hasn't aged well for me at all. I can remember matches with Randy Savage and Mr Perfect from Coliseum Videos that I like, and obviously his Bret match at Wrestlemania, the rest just bores me to death. Marginally better as a heel, but only just.

Put him with Duggan, Jimmy Snuka and The Bushwhackers, and you probably have my ultimate Survivor Series team of most hated goodies when I was a kid.

Recently bought the History of ECW that was on WWE 24/7 (the version that chronicles early days Easter Championship Wrestling up to the NWA Title Tournament and perhaps further)

Would like an episode guide of some sorts, anyone know where I can get it?

This is not complete, or a great solution to your problem, AND you've probably had a look at the site already, but the historyofwwe list has got bits and bobs:

http://www.thehistoryofwwe.com/ecw92-93.htm - 92/93 results, TV shows and other

http://www.thehistoryofwwe.com/ecw94.htm - 94, results, TV shows and other

http://www.thehistoryofwwe.com/ecwreview.htm - A select bunch of reviews from 93 onwards.
Dr.Fever
I looked on ebay and ioffer to see if anyone was selling the complete series of either LDN or FWA, as alot of private sellers have copies of tv series to sell - no luck.
I didnt know if there were any private sellers on here who had recorded the tv series?

Didn't the Star really run with the Benoit/steroid/sleaze and make up a load of stuff (killed Daniel with the crossface, did a flying headbutt for a near-fall before that etc)? I could imagine them not taking too kindly to that. Only a guess, mind.

Probably not the exact reason why the WWE hates, but I remember in the early nineties they used to try and "out" WWF wrestlers. Earthquake kept on being mentioned as being gay, even though he wasn't.
