Brock Lesnar debuted in 2002 right?

Just want to settle a debate with a mate that thinks 2001.

Yes on WWE TV, Night after Wrestlemania X8 I believe...

During a backstage interview at Wrestlemania XII with Mr Perfect interviewing Diesel, at the end of the interview Diesel looks into the air and shouts something that sounds like : "Just look at you!"

Anyone know :

a) What he actually says
b) WTF he means by it!

Cheers!

He says 'Goo goo g'joo', a phrase which was originally coined by The Beatles in their song I Am The Walrus. He referenced this line numerous times during interviews in '95/96. Why? Cos he's dead funny and alternative, I presume.

Is british wrestler David Parris in a laser eye surgery commercial on tv just now?

I can confirm that British wrestler David Paris is in a laser eye surgery commercial on TV and that it is indeed just so reassuring to have that lifetime guarrentee!

Does anyone know if the fire incident involving Cactus Jack and Terry Funk in ECW back in 1995 made it to video? always wanted to see it since I read about it many moons ago

Or even a link to watch it online which would be better

Thats so weird, I just can into the topic to ask this. I think it was after a Cactus vs Dreamer match but I'm not sure.

Does anyone know where I can get some decent mods for WWF No Mercy? I keep seeing youtube videos of the like for people who've hacked emulators to turn the game into ROH vs. TNA, and other variations of that, but I can't find any links that work.

When was the last time Undertaker opened a PPV? Before NWO 2009 I mean.

He was definitely never part of a first match on ppv in the 90's.
I'm not as sure about this decade but I don't think it ever happened until last week.

Anybody know what the very first WWF UK VHS release was? Thanks.

What happened with the Wrestling Channel on sky? it was awesome when it 1st started and had TNA,ROH,CZW, Classic Japan matches etc

The quality of the programming went downhill and started showing shitty mma promotions so I stopped tuning in then all of a sudden it dissapeared from my sky box

The Fight Network bought it over, then shut it down a few months ago.

The "match" itself was shown in clips on the TV show with Tommy Dreamer narrating the whole thing. It was a pretty creative way round the fact that legally, it would have been a major risk to show the incident itself on TV since the fan who got burned was suing the company. Since that lawsuit didn't get settled until years later, by which time the company probably didn't see any benefits in letting anyone see it, it was never released at all.

Given that the crucifixion tapes "were destroyed" and yet miraculously showed up in time to make the WWE DVD, I assume the footage exists in some form, somewhere. Whether it will ever see the light of day or not is another question. My guess is no.

It was three tapes on the same day. I'm 99% sure it was WrestleMania's Greatest Matches (one each from 1-4), High Flyers and Hulk Hogan Real American.

I think alot of the mods on youtube are playing it via pc emulation, using a program called Mugen or possibly even Fighter Maker, which is also really popular for putting Mortal Kombat characters on Street Fighter and vice versa etc.

They are doing it through a N64 emulator. Some intelligent guy has hacked into the "No Mercy" ROM, and changed it, or something. I really ain't sure about that, but it is through a N64 emulator. You used to see the whole kit, that they used, on various sites like PWTorrents.

Just a quick one...

That NWA Showcase programme that is available on their website, does anybody know if its just a small series (like last year), or if its going to keep having shows every week like the WWE and TNA do?

Thanks, Chris

Another "what happened to?"....Becky James?

She seemed to have such a bright future and I haven't hard of her appearing on shows for a while.

Same with Violet.

Becky James is still about, she's not been wrestling recently, but she's still kicking about. At the moment, she's applying to universities, so that's eating up a lot of her time.

As for Violet, she's repackaged herself and is going under the character of Jayne Beatrix Dunn - the bookworm geek who just happens to have a natural grappling gift. She comes to the ring with a shedload of science books like she's just come from the library, wrestles in an amateur-style singlet, has her hair in geeky pigtails and wears ear protectors. Think of Rachel Leigh Cook in She's All That, pre-makeover.

A bit of an obscure one...

I think it was the Raw after the 1999 King of the Ring, the Corporate Ministry were in the ring cutting a promo, and in the weeks prior they had fallen out with The Big Bossman and kicked him out of the stable or something. He came down to the ring and teased attacking them - only to say something like "I love you guys" and they all hugged and he was back in the group.

Anyway, Bossman made his entrance to some really weird music. His video was the same, but, like I say, he had some weird music. He never had it before, nor after, and I don't think it was mentioned.

Does anyone know anything about that? Did the guys in the truck just push the wrong button or something...

Also, do they still show TNA on EuroSport?

They definately did, Joe.

I remember Eurosport were showing old stuff (It wasn't even a full programme, just random matches), and the Wrestling Channel was showing new stuff.

Surely that went against their whole 'black supremacist' gimmick.

Well the black supremacist thing didnt start until 1997, hence why Savio/Crush and PG-13 were let go, but in the Nations real early days there we a few white folk in the entourage.

Crush felt he was being unfairly treated because he had spent time in jail hence the crowd chanting "Jailbird" at him.
