How fast/reliable are Smart Mark Video at sending discs to the UK?

I ordered King of Trios 2011 when it was released and i think it was a week or so. Definitely no more than two.

No, Mania was his last match.

No, right you are, I was thinking he was in a tag match on the following smackdown, but he just got involved in the no 1 contenders match between Christian and Del Rio. Apologies!
The Dart
No I was wrong! Reznor was right, he was in a dark match two days after Mania.

Thanks for that, I went ahead and ordered a couple of DVDs from there.

Quick one: who decides which 'from the vault' match is used on Smackdown by Sky Sports as a filler to plug in the gaps left by the US adverts? Is it Sky Sports or do the WWE specify/supply a match to be used?

I think they use it on other international versions as well, so it must be WWE. Although I don't know that for sure, so this is a bit of a Dillkid-esque response.

Ive just started EWR for the first time, but cant figure out how to save the game progress
gmoney
I think it saves automatically.

Better late than never, re : Steiners debate.

Their appearances in the bingo hall were (IIRC) in the summer of 1995, making it rather moot whether or not there were any no-compete clauses in their contracts regarding ECW. They didnt show up back in WcW until early 1996. They had left the WWF, as mentioned previous, in April 1994 shortly after Scotty had lost a King of the Ring qualifier to IRS.

In his shoot interview, Ric Flair mentions how he found Rick Rude to be unprofessional and was "the only guy" he ever worked with in an "impiared" state. I find this rather unlikely given that Flair wrestled many matches with wrestlers of questionable reputations such as Terry Gordy, all the Von Erichs, Buzz Sawyer and RoadWarrior Hawk among others, also, other than Rude allegedly being angry about Bobby Heenan stealing his heat, I've never heard anyone with anything but good things to say about Rude.

I'm guessing Flair has some other beef with Rude which wasn't mentioned. Has anyone got any ideas?
gmoney
I don't know much on the matter to be fair, but I've heard the reason the Hogan wouldn't work with Rude is because he thought he was unproffesional.
The_BarbarIAN
I thought it was because he or Vince didnt think Rude could draw money with Hogan. Rude and Hogan worked several times around the country, just never on a PPV (unless you count the Royal Rumble 90 match where they were in the final few).

Cheers Pitkid. I was just curious as many of the matches they show are crap and/or have no relevance to wrestlers currently involved in decent storylines (in some cases, they involve people no longer working there), so it just seems like it's an enie-meanie-minie-mo in the studio ten minutes before the show comes on.

Does Jesse Ventura have parkinsons disease? I was watching a few of his mental interviews on YouTube from earlier this year, and he rocks and shakes like a man who has the disease. Really sad if this is the case.
The_BarbarIAN
This question was asked on the Stern Fan Network during Jesse's appearance on Howard Stern a few years ago. Someone answered this:
QUOTE
"I thought rocking was a symptom of autism. Anyway, to answer the question: no, Jesse doesn't have Parkinson's, he's just a fucking nut."

Jesse's rocked around for years. I dont know if its nerves or what, but I first noticed this during an appearance for WCW where he was doing an on location interview with someone. When he does his documentary series and stuff like that he's perfectly fine. It might be nerves or something due to the live rapid fire situation he finds himself in on those shows he does. Everytime Jesse does a televised interview its a full on battle. He's completely off his tits. He never ends an interview without someone getting a verbal beatdown. I love him though, no matter how wrong or insane he might be.

That's good to hear.

Jesse's always good quality. You can see why he did so well in politics, as he's such an incredible talker. He almost makes his BS sound believable. Jesse always has an answer and a question prepared for the interviewer attacking him. Plus he makes the skullet look cool as fuck.

I was watching a video of him with Oliver Stone and some Republican nut on Larry King, Oliver Stone just sits there with a massive grin on his face for the majority as he watches Ventura go off. Shame he didn't snap and smack Piers Morgans smug face, when he had his interview.

I'll take a wild stab in the dark and say All star, It's usually them.

EDIT: Google aint coming up with much. All i've got is this quote from the Haven website

Wrestling

Colourful wrestling action, well-staged for a family audience. Boo the bad guys, cheer the nice guys, and see resident hero Super Bradley enter the ring for the big showdown!

Appearing 22 July – 1 September except at Berwick, Craig Tara, Haggerston Castle and Seton Sands where appearing between 1 July – 1 September.

JNLister
All Star are doing some Haven shows for the first time this year, but Presthaven will be Best of British Wrestling. It's a promotion that mainly does camp shows and sold shows (ie, hired in as entertainment for an event.)

http://www.bestofbritishwrestling.com/events

Roster for the camp shows is:

VooDoo
Jonny Storm
Steve Morocco
Rocker Richards
Joey Naylor with Disco Stuart Lake
James Dhamer
eXodus
Marty Scrull
Referee CJ Pollard
The Dart
Pretty sure BOBW don't do shows there actually.
steve
cheers for the help guys, much apreciated

My mistake - I misread Presthaven as Prestatyn, where BOBW are doing shows.

With that in mind, All Star does look a good bet given Presthaven's location.

Is Steven Gauntley doing this now:

http://www.retro-heart.co.uk/index.php?main_page=contact_us

I ask because he's trying to sell stock to the games store I work for and as soon as I saw he was called Steven Gauntley and was from Doncaster, alarm bells went off.

I can't be 100% sure, but yes, I do believe it is the one and same person.

Bet he hasn't paid for the official licence for the items he has created.

The games are surely copyrighted, as are the images and so on, so if anyone wants to contact the games companies and let them know thwn they would be doing the right thing.

I know Colt Cabana's meant to be a big fan of the World of Sport wrestling days but I've never heard him talk about Les Kellet, who I would have asumed was a big influence on Colt, so I was just wondering if anyone knows if Colt's ever mentioned him or if he's a big fan of him?

Sorry to be a mong (you’re probably used to it by now) but what is / was the next TNA pay per view following Destination X and when is / was it?

Arrows mate.

Edit -

What a bizarre quote for a page that's supposed to be about a 2011 PPV...

QUOTE
Hard Justice will featured professional wrestling matches that involve different wrestlers from pre-existing scripted feuds and storylines. Wrestlers portray villains, heroes, or less distinguishable characters in the scripted events that build tension and culminate into a wrestling match or series of matches.
The Dart
There's something along those lines on every page for a wrestling event.

Please can someone hook me up with a link to the UK wrestling tape trading board? My bookmarked link seems to have stopped working…

Edit –

Just trawled through all my old messages and found a link, that didn’t work either. Has the board moved or gone completely?

See at the beginning of the El Gigante - One Man Gang match at the Great American Bash 1991, why is it that Dusty (on commentary) is shouting about the "lady with the third eye". Was he going off his nut, or did it have any actual meaning to their storyline? Thanks a lot!

Who was the first person to wear the current IC title? I think it was Ken Shamrock but I'm not sure

I'm fairly certain it was The Rock. They were definitely using that version when he lost it to Triple H before Shamrock won it.

He left a corporate career to do what he loves - Model making?

Oh fuck right off.

Is that why "exciting" things are happening at 101 towers?

Well don't believe me if you don't want to, but if I lived locally and he owed me money, I would be visiting the address on the website.

Am I completely imagining this, or did ROH do a rape storyline? And if so, what was the story with that? Would someone care to talk me through the angle, the people, and the payoff? I must be feeling a bit pervy or something. Cheers.

Does anyone know where i can find the results for every WWE house show that's taken place in Newcastle since 2004?
I've tried Googling but i've only got a few results so far, after 2005 it doesn't seem to be able to find anything.

Aye, I always thought they did the new belt after Austin threw the old one off the bridge in late '97, but it was just after WrestleMania 14 Rock started wearing the new one.

That's down to some twats in the Wikipedia editing community who argue that you need to explain that because some people in Azerbaijan might not understand what pro wrestling is.

When I was a near-infant (mustra been between 92-94) I went to see a tribute show in the Shetland Isles, at least I think it was a tribute show. All I remember being there was the "Legion of Doom", the British Bulldog, and a guy with a similar mask to mankind (before mankind though I realise). Anyone any idea who would have ran this show? And who would have been "portraying" the Bulldog at such a show?? As far as IU know, its only one of two wrestling shows ever to grace thge isles, the other being around 98, with a fake Sting headlining.
