I'm 99% sure I saw something during one of last week's WWE shows to suggest that they were repeating Wrestlemania on one of the Sky Sports channels some time this week, but I can't find it anywhere on the EPG or on the Sky Sports website.
So my questions are a) did I dream it, and b) if not, when is/was it on?
Was advertised again on the RAW repeat last nights. It's next Thursday at 5pm. This years WrestleMania. Not sure if its just going to be Shawn Michaels vs. Undertaker though. We'll see. It's repeated at some other times too but didnt see those.

I think the Wrestlemania they're advertising will just be the music highlights shit that they do in America. Whatever it is it's only listed as being on for an hour anyway.

I've heard that as well. But Sgt Slaughter would take credit for the inventions of water and the wheel if you'd let him. I think he's telling the truth with that one though, to be honest.
Did any promotion use entrance music en masse prior to WCCW?

Its on DailyMotion
Here.
Well if it happend in Japan between the years 2006-2009, then why not check my review threads? Here's the little I had to say about their bout for Antonio Inoki.....includes spoilers.
IGF on PPV - June 29, 2007, Tokyo - (2 1/4 hrs)
June 29, 2007, Tokyo - Sumo Hall (8,426 fans)
8. Brock Lesnar © -vs- Kurt Angle - (IWGP 3rd Title) [** 1/2]
--- Lesnar's only pro-wrestling bout of 2007? This was for the IWGP Belt Lesnar never returned to NJPW after breaking their working relationship in the summer of '06. I guess it was a fun match. Not of the caliber that they had in WWE, but a ok sprint going through their main spots for the Japanese crowd with the F-5 and ankle hold playing the main part along with a few suplexes along the way. It was a pleasant surprise to see how humble Lesnar was to Angle tapping big for the ankle lock. If only he'd shown the same type of respect when he was in NJPW. So now Angle hold the 3rd generation IWGP Belt.
10:36 of 10:36 - Angle made Lesnar submit to a ankle hold to win the IWGP 3rd Title.

What does the "3rd Generation IWGP Belt" stuff mean?
Did that mean Angle was the IWGP champion when he made Lesnar tap here?
Thanks!
Nah, it's the IWGP Heavyweight Title belt that Brock Lesnar stole from New Japan after refusing to honor his contract agreement and lose the title back to New Japan and Hiroshi Tanahashi when he was champion there. Brock just left and kept the belt while New Japan stripped him of it. So a year later he turned up working for Inoki instead with the championship belt claiming to be the real IWGP Champion and then lost it to Angle here who later would work for New Japan and lose it to Shinsuke Nakamura to unify it with the IWGP Heavyweigth belt New Japan were using after the Brock fiasco.

Didnt New Japan intentionally not send Lesnar his visa in time so it was impossible for him to fly to Japan for his scheduled defence against Hash - giving them perfect excuse to strip him of the title?
Or did he force their hand by refusing to job to Tanahashi? Which is pretty dumb.

Was the black referee at Bragging Rights new? Also aside from him and Teddy Long have the WWF/E had any black refs?
Smegma Cake
Oct 26 2010, 12:55
I haven't seen Bragging Rights, but if you're referring to the referee who took part in the limbo competition on NXT last week, then he's quite new yes. I'm sure he came from FCW (Where he refereed) but I can't be 100% sure.
As far as I can recall, he and T-Lo have been the only black referees I can remember in WWF/E at least.
Statto
Oct 26 2010, 15:42
He's been around WWE TV off and on for a year or so (I think he started to show up when they made the referees dual branded, and used him only when he required) but he's recently come back from an injury - he broke his leg pretty badly in an accident (not wrestling related) in January.
Thanks to all who helped with my Wrestlemania query, by the way.
Rather obscure question here. About themes songs from the UK scene in the late 90's.
Came across Spawn (I was shopping and bored) and I came across 'One Man Army' by the Prodigy which was Mark Sloan's entrance theme for the first year and half in the FWA.
Then I remembered that I had previously been trying to find out the name of the theme that Alex Shane and Guy Thuner/Leon Murphy used when they first arrived in the FWA. I never did find out.
Does anyone know what it was?
Thanks
I remember seeing a thread on a message board a while ago, I'm almost sure it was this one, which had a load of really (intentionally) bad drawings done in MS-Paint of stuff like Droz breaking his neck and Benoit killing his family and stuff. I remember it actually making me laugh out loud. It might've been called 'sick wrestling jokes' or 'wrestling comics' or something, but I've searched for those and got nothing. Does anybody remember what I'm talking about?

Yup, he got banned. He initially got a few weeks suspension, came back, hadn't learned his lesson then was canned for good. I don't know what the straw that broke the camel's back was, but the last thing I remember was another one of his 'Rest in Piece (sic)' posts and then some terrible reply he gave when he was called out on it...again.

I’ve actually had my suspicions about a couple of new posters recently with a similar disregard for spelling, grammar and common sense. Is there a means to stop banned personnel creating new profiles and re joining our great forum?

During the mid 90s when Diesel was WWF champion they played some vignettes of him going to a school and signing autographs. At one point he signs something for a girl, she goes to pay him for it but he refuses the money, saying "No, I don't work that way". I'm pretty sure it was meant as a dig at WCW in some way but seeing as I never watched WCW back then it was lost on me.
Can anyone tell me what it was about? Were WCW charging fans for autographs or something?

FUCK! What a memory you just brought back. I remember that advert, but its never even entered my brain since about 15 years ago! I think it must have been more to do with WWF being great guys and how unlike alot of celebs, they wont charge you for an autograph. Doesnt seem like a shot at WCW, as I cant think of any examples of WCW being tight arses. The irony that its Big Kev turning down the cash brings a smile to my face though.

I'm pretty sure it was a dig at WCW, the tagline to that clip was something like "Unlike some federations, our superstars still cares about its fans" and was run about the same time as the 'Billionaire Ted", "the Huckster" and "the Nacho Man" ones.

Hayeswas in a foul mood. JBL got in to a tiff with him eventually flooring him.
X Pac cut Hayes' hair while he slept.
Ric Flair was stumbling around in his robe (with no pants underneath) like he often did when partying in his NWA heyday, and exposed himself to a female flight attendent.
Goldust serenaded his ex-wife Terri with gushy lovesongs over the PA system. She told JR to calm him down as he was drunk.
Meanwhile Scott Hall and Curt Henning had been having fun spraying others with shaving cream... untill the intoxicated Hall passed out. Henning got into an argument with Brock Lesnar over their shooting skills which turned into a brawl...taking Triple H and Paul Heyman to intervene... the group fell dangerously close to the plane door during the scuffle.
Think thats it.

That sounds like one fucked up plane ride. Heard something different about Lesnar/perfect the version I heard Henning was saying stuff to Lesnar about how he should take him down to the ground Lesnar ignored him for a while till Heyman told him to do it or people wouldn't respect him so he took him down and almost sent him though the floor

Oh right thanks for that, what was production like for that show being the first RAW outside of north america, did they use the normal entrance music and RAW stage. I only ask as you cant see during the main event, it just looks like a badly lit house show to me
King Pitcos
Oct 28 2010, 12:35
Raw didn't have a stage at the time. This was literally the week before they started using a stage and the Titantron. Raws in the US still had the wrestlers coming out from behind the three letters at the end of the aisle. The Germany show didn't have that though, it was just the standard house show-style setup.
