How did WWE explain Kane not having any burns on him after he took off his mask?

They said it was "psychological scarring". A lot of people shat on it but I loved it. Kane come across as even more of a nutter because he wore a mask for years even though he wasn't burnt.

I could easily buy that. What made it a bit more awkward for me was that when he was actually unmasked he had unruly tufts of ginger hair and blue/black makeup all over his face, which were all gone the next week. Not that any of that bothered me, like - it was a great angle, and worth suspending logic for.

Was a feud between The Undertaker and Bobby Lashley ever planned? The Undertaker just randomly turned up on ECW at one point and stared down Lashley...

It was after Taker won the rumble and he had to decide which champion to face. He obviously picked Batista in the end.

He sort of reminds me of Michael Myers from Halloween with that mask, and the whole background of him being mad due to the death of his family. I can understand that it was phycological, but what was all that black stuff over his face for?

How far in advance to WWE PPV tickets go on sale usually? Or, even better, does anyone know when tickets for Night of Champions 2010 go on sale?

It would appear to vary a little - a quick scan over my emails has just shown I bought my ticket for last year's Extreme Rules on 2nd May (which was the on-sale date), the event was June 7th, so just over a month.

However, this week on Raw they announced the on-sale for Money in the Bank (18th July) as this Saturday, so that's pretty much 8 weeks.

The event calendar on WWE.com currently goes up until the end of August, so in a couple of weeks' time Night of Champions should appear - my best advice is to just keep checking there - they do tend to give at least a week's notice of on-sale dates via the website.

That was because he painted black around his eyes for the mask, and it runs when he was sweating! I think he put it on a few more times to make it look like he is supposed to look like that, but thats what it was!

Watching a Outsiders vs Steiners match from WCW Superbrawl 1998 on youtube why are the Steiners walking to the ring with 2 sets of tag belts?

Also I noticed that a event took place at WCW Uncensored 1999 that headlined a Hogan/Flair match for the Championship in a Steel cage first blood match. Why do WWE refuse to acknowledge this World title win for Flair when he held the belt for a good month before dropping the title at the following PPV?

Hogan throws The Giant off a building.

I never watched a lot of WCW, but I'm presuming The Giant walked out on Nitro a week later with some rib tape and a few plasters.

How did WCW explain this?!

They didn't. He just appeared for his match later on (against Hogan) and won the title. Halloween Havoc 95, perhaps?

Yeah, they hyped up the battle of the monster trucks all night, Giant fell off the roof and Hennan went mental for "more information".
One match latter Giant entered for his match latter on with no sign of injury at all, and no explanation was given for it all.

Hogan was doing a "dont trust anybody apart from Jimmy Hart" storyline at the time (until Jimmy Hart turned on him of course), and after all of the Dungeon of Doom jumped him and shaved his tash off, he started dressing all in black and making comments about to "what men in black gloves can do" (a reference to OJ killing his wife believe it or not).

Hogan used to shave the tash off a few times, even in the nWo when he came out with a full-on black beard, which looked like he'd painted it on. He did this to because such classic films like the Secret Agent Club and Assault on Devils Island demanded a tashless Hogan.
crazyshady
Sometimes it really did look fake so that begs the question, was Hogan's black beard real or was it painted on? Look at this clip

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JSJybm0-2og

Also that bit with Sting at the end looks like it could easily have gone wrong. He was quick to hook that harness and the way they yanked him right out the ring he's lucky it was secure.

It's real. I remember just before the nWo's debut, they did some promo shots straight after they told Hall, Nash and Hogan that they were bringing back the nWo gimmick. Hogan's beard is sneeking through, but it's barely grown out:

This looks painted on though:

I could be totally making this up, but I'm almost certain I remember reading from someone "in the know", or from a shoot interview, that they were going to have a fish sticking out of his singlet, to imply that he survived by falling into nearby water. Sounds obviously completely absurd, but then the majority of Hogan's 94-nWo stuff was beyond even wrestling levels of social retardation, so I could never 100% rule it out.

Where is there a list that shows every single unrecognised WWF and WCW title changes?

By the way why does WWE blantatly refuse to acknowledge Flairs world title win at Uncensored 1999? I mean considering he held the belt for a month untill dropping it at the next PPV kinda seems a bit silly.

I didn't know WWE don't recognise Flair's title win in the (very good) main event at Uncensored '99. Actually, it's weird that for years now Flair has always been referred to as a 16-time World Champion when, if you count all the brief switches and unrecognised stints he had in the '80s, it must top 20.

The wrestling business is MEANT to over-exaggerate stuff, not play it down. Reminds me of the story I read in The Death Of WCW where Tony Schiavone said there were LESS fans in attendance at the Georgia Dome than what there legitimately was. Baffling.
air_raid
Not including unrecognized reigns, WcW never acknowledged Flair's WWF title reigns (as you might expect) so the amount of title reigns they announced on tv were just NWA and WcW - that number peaked at 16 before WcW finished.

So.... including the two WWF titles, WWE should surely refer to Flair as an 18 time World Champion?
Jimmy Rammstein
Apparantly Flair refers to himself as a 21-time champion, though there's a couple of International World title runs in there, aswell as a handful of NWA belt switches that either weren't recognised at the time, or aren't anymore.

I'm happy enough to acknowledge the International title as a legitimate world championship, simply because of Rick Rude.

Apparently they may have done it to increase tension in the match, as I pointed out, the "interference" looks awfully fake, I have theorised it was used to cut between chunks of pre-taped action, then finally to a live feed, to give a measure of control to a match that had never been done before.

Since Layla & Michelle McCool are BOTH wearing the womens belts. Which one is the real one? After watching Smackdown it looks like McCool is wearing the proper belt, while Layla is wearing a replica. Seems a bit stupid, unless its for an angle. I don't pay much attention to the look of the Womens belt so I'm interested in who wears it?

Oh yeah its puzzling I know unless they wont recognise because it happened under dubious circumstances. I loved the Cage Match and its true about WCW not recognising Flair title win at the 1992 Rumble or the match in September.

You remember in 1994 at Spring Stampede when they had a double pin in the Steamboat/Flair match and they declared the title vacant and then had a rematch on TV to crown a new champion. They dont recognise that either. A shame cos it went a long long time and its a unjustice they wont recognise that.

I dont know whats wrong with WWE because they dont even recognise Flairs match at starrcade 1995 when he won a triple threat match and beat Savage for the title. Even the rematch at Superbrawl when he beat Savage in a cage for the belt.

Whats the bloody hell wrong with WWE. Those were PPVS and should count. Alright I can agree in not counting the time Nash just handed flair the belt to be the champion. Shame the one against Jarrett they dont count either. Yes it sucks they dont count the title change between Rude/Flair because it was still for the title whether NWA withdrew or not it was still the same Championship. Same for the the one at clash of the champions when they unified the titles when Flair beat steamboat and Hogan debuted in the WCW arena.

As for his number of reigns I think its 25 times so theirs quite a lot WWE dont count which is rubbish as they still happened.

Scott Hudson mentioned Flairs WWF title reigns a few times back in 2000. Flair's mentioned it himself in WCW during his "from Starcade to WrestleMania" promo during his feud with Bischoff. Also WWE released a special 16-time World Champion t-shirt featuring the dates, event and opponents of his 16 reigns and Uncensored vs Hogan is on there, as well as the Savage and Jarrett title wins, so I dont know where you think WWE doesnt recognise the title reigns. Do you have any scouse for WWE not counting these reigns?

Also, wasnt Flair vs Hogan on a WWE released DVD recently?

The Observer from the time reported that the first part of the match was pre-taped the day before. No reason is given for the 'transmission problems', although they were planned as they took place in the portion of the match that was taped the day before. The match is live from the point Undertaker gets out the barricaded door, and you see the referee by the door.
Lee
Probably to give the impression that it's live as something taped wouldn't have problems, else it'd be taped again until they got it right, right?

Bit of a strange question here but why did Christian ever go back to wwe?

From what I heard he was only brought back because Edge convinced Vince McMahon to hire him and they havent really done anything interesting with him. Then reading about house shows an upcoming Christian and Hornswaggle vs Dolph and Chavo Guerrero feud. This is a slap in the face of Christian fans as many believe by now hes a main eventer.

I think Christian would of been better off staying in TNA as they did use him as a top guy.

He's got bills to pay, and it easier to earn more in WWE than it is in TNA.
NEWM
He split up with his wife shortly after rejoining WWE, which tells me they were rowing at home more with his lighter schedule and TNA tours not really travelling much. Plus he never looked natural when he kissed Trish Stratus, which tells me he had a henpecker indoors. He wanted to mercy kill the marriage because he bottled leaving her properly but not do a Canadian Midcard Wrestler's trick and literally kill it. A move back to WWE made the most sense.

Okay, there's probably plenty of other reasons too, but I actually believe this.
