1 - Going for a meal last night, and meeting a busty lady who handed me a lever arch file absolutely crammed with naked photo's of herself and insisting I look at them.

2 - Some of my photo's are going to be exhibited at the local museum.

3 - KFC sad.gif

4 - My ribs are healing and I'm starting to get a decent nights sleep again.

5 - I'm watching Interceptor on Challenge TV. Used to absolutely love this program, and also used to have a huge crush on Annabel Croft.

1. I have the entire flat to myself, nobody here and no family coming up. I can walk around nude if I want, I won't but the option is there.

2. Although I don't support them I am so glad that Hull City stayed up. Is it me or does their manager look creepy with that beard?

3. Someone who was a very close friend of mine, and blocked me on everything from her mobile to Facebook & MSN, has unblocked me on Twitter and started following me. huh.gif

4. Rustlers chicken burgers (yum!)

5. Heribo sour mix sweets. (again yum!)

You had a breakup, dude?

yes well i didnt make a big announcement or anything but i split from my wife a year ago, she cheated on me so i left her and went back to my mums, since i had nowere else to go - finally got my name to the top of the list for a house, and here i am. one month in and slowly getting things bought. its a bit quiet as im used to the wife or my brother being around but yeah at least its mine and i wont be letting anyone screw me over again.

plus the house ive moved into is earmarked for demolition in 1-2 years. which means when the time comes the housing association have to move me right away, putting me to the top of the waiting list for the best areas in durham, plus as compensation for having to move i get a nice cheque. the current amount is £4700 but by the time its comes around it may rise to £5000 - which isnt a bad little payoff smile.gif

I'm loving the sunny weather and enjoying a nice day on Bournemouth beach this past Sunday.

Oh and enjoying rediscovering some old records that haven't had a spin for a while. Some nice Funky House from 2003.

Hang on, hang on. They give you a house to live in, then they make you move into another house and pay you 5 grand for the inconvinience?! Shit, I need to stop paying my own way and sponge off the government some more.

Back on topic, I'm currently loving Nighty Night. I spotted it on DVD in HMV. Both seasons a fiver each. I remember it being good, but now I'm watching it again its even better than I remembered. Classic underated sitcom.

How is the second series after some time away? Season 1 is absolutely superb, dreadfully funny and blacker than black. I remember being miserably disappointed by the second series, is it any better on a re-watch?

Women who make real music.

Let's face it, women generally have awful taste in music, if they're not listening to the latest RnB jingle by some greasy rapist or fawning over the latest Johnny Sixpack they're cutting themselves to My Chemical Romance videos on YouTune or scrawling illiterate Harry Potter fanfictions to the rhythm of Linkin Park or Green Day's back catalog. Female musicians are pretty much all shit too, if they're not pretending to perform on stage they're complaining about how people are mean to them when all they want to do is have fun or proclaiming themselves to be strong and independent female rolemodels despite shacking up with anyone as long as he's got a convertible, a few grand in the bank and a videocamera.

Thankfully however there are women out there who understand the concept of artistic integrity and make music because they genuinely enjoy it, not just to live out attention seeking celebrity fantasies or to 'bag a rich one'. Woman, does it not piss you off that your gender is represented in the music business by wretched turds like Lady Gaga, Amy Winehouse and that one from N-Dubz? Women like Bilinda Butcher and Debbie Googe (of My Bloody Valentine), Wata (of Boris), Kim Gordon (of Sonic Youth), Leah Buckareff (of Nadja) and Mayuko Hino (of C.C.C.C.) are the one's who are truly worthy of idolization, not because the music they've made is "pretty good, for a woman" but because they're simply great at what they do.

Just because you we live in a society where you can run around half naked, do drugs, brawl and drink until you vomit blood doesn't mean you've achieved some mystical state of gender equality. If you want respect, admiration and equality try dedicating yourself to a cause and become better at it than everyone, and if you can't be that good simply win people over with passion and perseverance.

With that out of my system enjoy this video of Wata (of Boris) making a guitar howl.

Loving the old Batman series.

BBC Four puts on repeats of a night and it's just brilliantly camp and light heartedly enjoyable.

It's no Elliot Minor eh?
Tequila_Boy
No, they don't produce music that involves two instruments they sound horrible together playing a seemingly random set of notes that seem to have no melody of musical pattern to them and helps to create a disgusting screeching sound.
TripleA
I'm with TB on this one. As skilled as it was, describing it as "real music" is clutching at straws.

I never really get the hate for Amy Winehouse. Sure, she's an absolute mess of a person but as a musician she's absolutely fantastic.

On the subject of girls making music though, Vito missed out the acoustic guitar cliche that's absolutely everywhere at the moment.
IrishDave
It may be a cliche, but sometimes it works, such as with Amy Macdonald.

I don't agree. It's the "passion and perseverance" thing I mentioned in my previous post, I see more passion in that one video than I've seen in any female-centric music performance I've seen in ages. While it not necessarily be to your taste the point I was trying to make is that they're approaching music from a different perspective and trying something a bit different.
JLM
She's a good singer who has written and sung some excellent songs. Much love for the Winehouse from me.

Can't be arsed getting into an argument about whether or not you like her music but I will argue that she's got a huge amount of talent. She's got one of the best voices I've heard in pop music in years and writes very good songs to go with it.

Awwwwwww hellllllll no. Amy Winehouse has one of the most awful and grating singing voices I've ever heard. Granted, its individual. I'd rather that than just being a perfect voiced clone, but seriously, listening to her sing is like rubbing my ear on a cheese grater.

Amy Winehous has a soul and passion for a singer that we've not seen for decades. She reminds me of, dare I say, a modern day Billie Holiday. You may not agree with the state she's in at the moment, but I think you would have to be completely delusional not to admit she has an excellent singing talent.

Well colour me delusional then. She's written a lot of her own stuff and I respect that. Obviously she has got talent, at least more so than the average jumped up karioke singer x-factor winner. But her voice sounds like someone is going at the inside of her throat with a power sander, its not nice to listen to. Just the sound of her screeching out vaaaaaaaaaaalllleriiiiee makes me want to tear my ears off. Its unfortunate that she's become more well known for a drug habit and a cover version which isn't as good as the original rather than the stuff that she has created herself, but thats how it goes. All I need is to hear her duet with Duffy and I will actually rip my own head off.
