Just to counteract the other thread which has turned into a general annoyance thread rather than current personal grievances. What are you enjoying about life right now?
I'll get it going...
CSI - The Vegas one. Just bought the first three series on DVD. I caught this train late but love the show right now. And I'm never one for American tv that isn't a sitcom.
Thin Lizzy - Recently I've become obsessed with this band. I might actually buy a CD if this keeps up for long enough!
Heather & Minty - She's no oil painting but she's a lovable character and comes out with some brilliant lines "You're not gonna make me do the truffle shuffle are ya?". George Michael gimmick is awesome. Minty is like an uncle I wish I had. Two pleasant character in a happy ending in Eastenders??? Now let's get rid of the Brannings and Mitchells and give Gus a push and we'll be all good!
Longer days/Warmer weather - I'm a total summer person. I've had enough winter. When I can have car windows open and it's still light at 8pm I instantly start cheering up. Come on summer!
Sticking to my gym routine - I'm proud of myself for this one. It's been going well for almost a full month now and I intend to keep it up and add it it. Maybe even using my pass to use to swimming pools on rest days.
How bout you guys?

Ahh man.. I fucking knew this thread was coming.
Gay!

....that said, however....
I too am loving the longer, potentially sometimes warmer days.
Also, I've been sticking to my gym routine so am pretty proud of that. Can't wait to go kick sand in some nerds' faces this summer. Hypothetically speaking. I probably won't be on a beach at any point though

I'm feeling very (relatively to normal) engergetic and go-getter-y at the minute - partly from the weather I think, and also as I'm taking a break from smoking green... So that is really enjoyable at the moment (I'll get bored eventually)...
1. The Big Bang Theory. What a show!
2. Summer is coming. Last summer was great and hoping for an even better year this time around.
3. Only one month till i finish uni for another year. Three Months off till i start my third and final year.
4. Five weeks till i get a week off work and with uni finished it will be my first week off both uni and work since last September. It will be great to have the stress lifted from my shoulders.
5. Life at the moment is pretty cool in general. Great friends, great times

1. Mario Kart Wii
2. Kopperberg Pear Cide
3. Weed
4. The Celph Titled 'Gatalogue' CD's I've dowloaded
5. Getting tickets to V & Leeds this year
Please, someone sell The big Bang theory to me. I have seen two half-episodes and was unamused to the point of almost being angry. I don't know if I just caught some particularly bad parts of the show but it seemed to be excruciatingly contrived comedy and I absolutely hated it.
Five things I'm loving at the moment...
1) L'eau D'Issey pour Homme by Issey Miyake. I smell fantastic I do.
2) Mario Kart Wii.
3) The freedom I have to waste time on the interweb at this job. Cracked, TheOnion, Wiki-research and this forum, it's a wonder I get anything done. I'm currently five pieces of work away from my daily target, and I easily have time to do at least ten more. Will most likely do about seven over the next three hours. Oh yeah, also loving the flexible working hours. Essentially I work seven and a half hours from when I get here, with half an hour for lunch. So today I'm leaving at 4PM because I got in at 8. Tomorrow if feel the need to get up later, I could do 9-5 or 10-6.
4) The wonderful flirty smiley checkout girl who brightens up my trips to Sainsburys. Was served by her aaages ago and then she vanished for months. This week she was there again, so now I need excuses to go there. Sainsburys is accross the road from my house, so there is a very real and difficult to resist option of stalking her on a daily basis. At least the police will have a reason for my weekly 'random' stops I guess.
5) Rubicon Mango juice. This is more of a lifelong and undying love, but in the run up to and during summer especially I tend to put it away by the gallon. Only problem is, I've actually been off soft drinks for well over a year and drink fruit juice and water almost exclusively. I break this rule for milkshakes when I have to, and I'm not sure what the stance should be on this. It's in a carton, it's a fruit drink, but it sure as hell isn't pure fruit juice. Difficult.

1. Uni-Qlo- Quite a nifty, cheap, fashionable shop! Look forward to spunking all my wages on their weird t-shirts and what not this month!
2. The Office: An American workplace: I know im late but i only just got the first 2 series on DVD. Awesome.
3. Longer days.
4. Having some time to myself to watch dvd's and play pro evo- A couple of weeks back i didnt have any alone time as i was juggling my gf and 2 sets of mates who i felt i couldnt ever bail out on. Long story but it's all settled now and i can relax!
5. Carrot Juice- Yum!

I'm loving the summer weather too. Yesterday was the first realy sunny day since I moved to Cov, and there was just something realy.........nice about it.
I'm loving my super-fast broadband. In 5 days I've managed to download about 200GBs of just about every movie I've ever wanted to see.
I'm loving that I only have a few weeks left of uni, and I'm fairly certain I'll pass.
I'm seriously loving that there's new Lost tomorrow!
I'm just loving life in general at the moment. Over the past 6 months or so it's been going realy well. I have a house, a car, my relationships going great (5 and a half years now), got a group of great friends that I actualy take the effort to stay in touch with, and I'm loving everything about uni. Things are realy in a good place at the moment

(but if any promotors was to book me then a few more dates wouldn't go a miss

This is probably the funniest segment from the Big Bang Theory yet.I think you need a strong whiff of the geek to fully appreciate BBT. Leonard's (dude in glasses, played David in Roseanne)inabilty to make his intentions felt to Penny is something that plenty of guys can relate to, and Sheldon's (tall, gangly one) complete lack of social skills is awesome. Likewise, Howard (the pudding bowl haircut dude) and his slimy advances to Penny getting easily shot down is decent stuff.
And Penny herself is hot.
***
Anyway, my stuff:
My new lady - she's awesome. And to think it started in a pretty unconventional way.
The Apprentice - sure, it's not as good as other seasons, but it's still The Apprentice.
My latest trip abroad - it's going to rock the cock.
My fashion sense - it's got a million times better over the past year, to the point that my wardrobe's contents are somewhat presentable.
The nWo - I've been watching a whole bunch of videos on YouTube about the Hostile Takeover, from Scott Hall's debut on Nitro to Hulk Hogan turning heel at Bash at the Beach 1996.

My Girlfriend. She's brilliant! I love spending time with her, even if its just doing stupid stuff like watching TV or playing video games, and BEST OF ALL she doesn't mind that I like wrestling!! Huzzah for me!
Orange and Pineapple juice.
Vouchers for Orange and Pineapple juice.
Working 2 days a week and managing to pay my bills. Huzzah again!
Coffee and Red Bull being plentiful.

1. Life On Mars. Totally passed me by while on TV, but my dad borrowed season 1 off a friend a few months ago. I watched and bloody loved it. Best British tv show in years!!! Now my mate has lent me season 2, just watched the first episode and I have fallen in love with it all over again. Whereas my dad has only watched the first episode of season 1! lol!
2. The feeling that warm weather is finally on the way. Yesterday was the first time I had been out this year without wearing long sleeves, just a tshirt. Made me excited that the days of lying in the park with my girlfriend in the sun getting smashed are not far away!
3. Rediscovering an old band you used to love on your iPod. The beauty of having 2000 songs on your iPod is that occasionally you come across a song or album you havent heard in years and you realise how much you loved said band. On the bus yesterday, up popped Girls and Boys by Blur. Used to love this type of music and when I got home I proceeded to download every album of theirs I didnt own!
4. Learning to drive. When I first started in August, for the first 3 months I was really nervous during my lessons, but over time I have come to love Monday mornings between 9 and 10 (my weekly lesson!). Took me a long time to warm to my instructor as well (near-60 year old John) but when I finally pass my test, I'm really gonna miss our weekly football chats and him telling me 'Eyes on the road, not on the breasts!' whenever we pass an attractive female! Top bloke! Got my test 23rd May, really hope I pass (even though I have no money to buy a car! lol).
5. Whose Line Is It Anyway? I've always seen bits and pieces of this show over the years, but I've been totally hooked on both the UK and US versions since I discovered them on Dave and Five US. Both are brilliant, but the US show is a lot better, mainly thanks to Colin, Ryan and Wayne. I have been annoying my girlfriend and her folks by only talking in questions recently!

Oh, shit... How could I forget??
Possibly the most important thing in my life right now - Alphonso Mango season has started. Or rather, they are now down to a reasonable price, as the season started a few weeks back...
This particular type of Indian mango is easily the tastiest type of mangos that exists (by a good long way, too), but the season sadly only lasts about 2 months, tops. I'll be having a couple of these a day for this whole period.
I urge you all to try them, although I think you only get them in specialist Indian foodstores.

1 - Mario Kart Wii (In particular, Rainbow Road... how quick an opinion can change of that track...)
2 - Refereeing (Got at least one show per weekend for just over a month, gonna be goooooood)
3 - New house (Okay, it's not exactly new now, been here a couple of months, but it's great living here, and our git of a flatemate is out in just over a week, 'tis gonna be great as we don't have to worry about stuff, and the landlord is a great guy.)
4 - Jim Davidson's Sinderella (Expected it to just be smutty crap, but I got it cheap ages ago, finally watched it a couple of days back, 'tis effing hilarious)
5 - Within Temptation (Still an awesome band, and one I never seem to get bored of listening to)
It was harder thinking up good things than bad things... guess I need to work harder at making things better then.

Big Bang Theory. Fucking brilliant. But i'll get on with my other stuff.
1. Getting good feedback from a play i've been writing by lecturers and friends. This winter/spring look for "A Still Life Portrait Of Stuff What Happens" to come to a theatre of weekend dramatists in some remote hick town. Still, i feel really proud of it.
2. Garth Ennis and some really good comics coming through recently. I think i've said it before but if you are a fan of comics and want a really good read i can't recommend The Boys (by Dynamite Entertianment) enough. Super Super Super.
3. Old Comedies. i'm waiting for the Buster Keaton chronicles collection but i love all the silent stuff especially Laurel and Hardy. I can only imagine what an achievement it was when Laurel and Hardy starred as themselves interacting with themselves as children.
4. Swansea going to the championship
5. Walking around Southampton marina, behind the Cork and Bottle, on a really nice day like today. especially with a couple of pubs close by for a nice drink of cider
this might change soon depending on how my driving test goes and how my reunion with the girl i like goes. Likewise, this list might be the only thing which keeps the shotgun out my mouth.

'tis only one right now... but the positive vibes I'm getting for doing a one off reunion for my old e-fed is really giving me a boost.
I can think of two, mostly since the bad is all pretty time cosuming.
1) Helping out at a local Beaver Scout troop. Having been involved with the movement all my life, I wasn't too excited when I was asked to help out with the Beavers because there's very little you can actually do with them. Still, it's been the most rewarding part of my week, the only thing usually that doesn't make me feel like an absolute stupid bastard.
2) Being somewhat flirty with a girl. It's having the effect, so even though I'm not going to persue it any further, its rather fun and amusing.
1) having a girlfriend
2) knowing that in a matter of weeks ill have finished college for good
3) hells kitchen usa - ramsey gets better and better at ripping into yanks
4) my new phone (sony ericsson 580i)
5) catching up with friends i havent seen for a while (saw my best friend last night when i went to my old job to watch street kings)

1. School holidays- Damn this year has been mentally grinding, it's only been a term! Yay for relaxing...and sleep ins. Also late nights and general freedom is fantastic.
2. Flexible attendance- In going back to school next week, I only have 4 days of exams in 2 weeks. Hoorah!
3. Forgetting Sarah Marshall- I did not stop laughing the entire movie. I was crying, I swear I fractured ribs...pwns Superbad.
4. Maccas- My second home. Good to chill with my mates. Also the entire place is staffed by beautiful girls about my age.

5. 18th birthday parties. Going to two on Saturday night, with a few more to go to in the coming months...mine in June (cheap plug). Let the good times roll!
Just a little observation...this thread is at 2 pages, the negative one is at 11. Come on, where's the positivity?
That kind of talk will land you on someone's hate list. Watch it smiley.

1. The fact that, bar one essay for next week, all of my work for Uni this year is done and I'm now free until the end of October.
2. Staying here in England over said period of time, so I can concentrate on doing stuff I need to do (like getting a job, going to the gym, conitnuing training, researching my dissertation for next year etc.) instead of lazing around and doing nothing constructive, and the fact a bunch of friends from Uni will be here too - some I know really well, some I can get the chance to get to know better.
3. The fact my grandmother, who had a severe brain tumour, will almost certainly be alive for her big-as-fuck 70th birthday bash next week, and that my parents are flying me home for it as an added surprise for her, as she thinks I won't be there - and that I'll be home long enough to have an almighty piss-up with my other friends too!
4. All the fun games I have to play during my relaxation time and the ton of great movies I can go and see in the next few months as a treat to myself with aforementioned friends.
5. My general progress in life - I'm happy, I've been making a noticable improvement in the gym, I'm eating far better and my Uni work is getting quite a lot of praise from tutors and fellow students, as well being somewhat of a go-to guy for people who need help with... well, anything really, as I'm always will to do what I can.

1. Depeche Mode : Not sure what it was that made me suddenly think "I'll download a bunch of their stuff", but I did, and now I'm a massive fan.
I did this with The Misfits. I never got into them before because they look stupid and I expected them to sound stupid. Something eerie about them... I love it.
I'm loving the fact the your postcard has just come through my door!

thankyou!!
Next time take me yeah?

Well that was the second time we've been there and I found it a little too sleepy this time. Maybe off somewhere with a bit more action next time.
And after going with my lady's family, let me tell you that holiday + baby = Pain in the ass!

Bogged down in lab reports and assignments but some reason to be cheery:
1. Hanoi Rocks - Getting on a bit now, but Finlands greatest band (HIM dont count, whining ponces) continue to amuse me with their tongue in cheek glam rock stylings.
2. Queen of the South in the Scottish Cup final and in Europe next season - Although Im not expecting a miracle against Rangers on the 24th of May, its a hell of an achievement to reach a major final (especially after THAT semi final) and the chance to have a fleeting glimpse of UEFA cup football at Palmerston is the icing on the cake.
3. Oreo cookies - thanks to the barn of bargains that is Farmfoods, stocked up on these and I await the premature onset of diabetes.
4. Premier League Darts - Although not up to last years standards its been a good contest this year, seeing a riled up Phil Taylor annialate Wayne Mardle has been incredible. I hope to see a Taylor vs Wade final, the master against the apprentice.
5. My knackered old Vans - my god they're comfy.

2. Morton : Makes a change from the first two thirds of the season when I was livid with everything about the club, and now I'm happy with pretty much everything about the club.
I want to see if number 2 remains after Saturday. I hope so.
It will remain. We're playing a decent side. I'm more worried about what happens
after Saturday if we're in the playoffs. Davie Irons is working with a side where some of the players are very low in confidence. He's got them to a point where they have become very hard to beat. We got an excellent 3-0 win over Dunfermline, although admittedly the Pars didn't seem to have a care in the world. That would never have happened before though. The confidence quite simply was not there.
If we go down ... well, that number two might change.

I remember how homesick and miserable you sounded on here when you first went off to Uni... so that is all good news to hear, man
Cheers! It's a wonder what changing from "living with bastards and doing pre-set modules" to "living with great friends and doing your own modules" can do for your spirits.
Today I'm loving how drunk I am after my final lesson, and the fact I have a full bottle of Jameson in the cupboard that is completely untouched... drunken Bully is awesome!

Oreo cookies
Oh man, these little guys seem to be available everywhere now. I went to Tesco the other day to do my weekly shop and there was a whole shelf full of them, I only brought about ten packs.

1. The cider festival at my local pub. 4-5 pints of Old Rosie and I'm slurring my speach, falling over and laughing at everything. An awesome kid of drunk i just don't get with other drinks!
2. My mum being an absolute legend. I'm having a really tough final semester (I'm in my third year of uni) and i might not finish my degree fully until august. I rang her up pissed and told her i didn't want her and Dad to think I'm a failure. She told me that even if i came home and worked as a bin man she'd be proud of me, as long as i was happy. That made me laugh and look at things in a different way. A weight was definately lifted off my shoulders.
3. My course leader. I used to fucking hate the bastard, but finally gave in and decided to arrange a meeting. I told him i was having a hard time and was worried that i wouldn't pass my last module, but couldn't come back next year to finish it. He told me not to worry and that i have enough credits to graduate and gain a degree, and that a worst case scenario was having to do some re-sit work over summer and get my honours by August thus finishing this year. This was a far cry from the stone-faced cunt who told us all we would fail in the first and second years.
4. My girlfriend. Sexy, fun, intelligent, witty... and a mean cook, too. Perfect.
5. Listening to my mate andy upstairs playing Rainbow 6 or COD4 i presume, shouting abuse at people. He's an angry Welsh man not scared to voice his opinions. Like Moj, but not fat or ginger.
