I've been playing Toy Story 3 on the PS3 lately (with exclusive Zurg!) and it's possibly the best Movie tie-in that i've played. Also the best game i've played in a while regardless of genre.
Yesterday I was thinking just how awesme Toy Story 1 was on SNES so I was curious to find out if Toy Story 3 was any good as a game based on a film so thanks for confirming that it is.

Anyone know of any decent games TV shows? You know, with reviews and stuff. I've seen a couple on Bravo. Is there any specificly for the PS3 or one that focuses on the PS3 more? Which ones are best?

I have tried searching the answer to this one, but no luck.
Is the only way to transfer data files from a Blu-ray to a USB (via the Ps3), to put them onto the Ps3 hard drive first?
Reason I ask is that the files on the Blu-ray I have are not in folders, and there are over 150 of them that take up the whole disk space (20gb ish), and I only have a small ammount of space on my Ps3 drive (about 8gb). The Ps3 is the only Blu-ray reader I have got to do this.
If I let it do as many as it can (8gb's worth), when I come to do a second lot I can't then start at say file 68, it will start at file 1 again won't it?
Other then that its a 1-by-1 job I guess, after the first batch has run? I thought there would be an option to copy direct from the Bu-ray to USB, but when I do copy on the disk, it doesn't give me the option for a destination.
Hope this makes sense. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Not for me at all. There's about 3 bands on there I liked, and they're either bands that are always on these games (Foo Fighters) or songs I already have on Rock Band (Losing my religion). Won't be buying this. Guitar Hero hasn't been good since GH2.

Just bought Alpha Protocol and realised a major problem for me. There is a part of the game where you have to hack computers by looking for a series of unmoving numbers on a screen where hundreds of other numbers are moving rapidly. Unfortunately my eyesight isn't very good and I just can't pick them out at all. Does anyone know if there is a way round this or should I just cut my losses and trade it straight back in?
Cheers for any advice.
I bought a PS3 last Wednesday, got FIFA WC2010, Battlefield Bad Company 2 and Red Dead Redemption, buying Dragon Age on Saturday.
RDR is awesome, I'm over 60% of the way through and still having fun. I expected the horse riding to be tosh but it's a lot of fun. Rockstar are amazing.

If it's always the same code for everyone (ie, not randomly generated per game), then there are probably tons of walkthroughs online that mention what it is, for the benefit of not only the poor sighted but also the lazy.

Unfortunately it seems to be different each time and although I am a self-avowed lazy bastard I would prefer to play the game properly. Thanks though, I appreciate the reply.
Ah well, I wanted an old school RPG a la Baldur's Gate or Planescape anyway but couldn't see one.
As I'm here, does anyone have any recommendations on that score?
The hacking computers bit put me right off the game.

I've no idea, but the same thing happens to my Xbox 360, only it's connected with component cables and on the Ybpbr channel or whatever it's called.
I'm not much of a gamer these days (currently working my way slowly through Super Mario Galaxy, which I bought in 2007, played once and then ignored until a month or so back) but both games I'm interested in for Christmas are on the PS3. I can't wait for LBP2 and Smackdown vs Raw 2011 (which judging by last year's, will be slightly better on the Xbox but with the news that you can edit downloaded characters, I'll be all over the online features and I've not got Xbox Live Gold).

didn't say the game will be out as planned in November.

It's not a rumour...
http://www.littlebigplanet.com/en-gb/news/...tlebigplanet_2/LittleBigPlanet 2 is a crazy dream, a dream to allow players to make whatever kind of game they want, but also to play though a great adventure of drama and excitement, power-ups, and cinematics. But like all of the most ambitious ideas, it can be a considerable challenge to turn these dreams in to fun games. We’ve all been working like powered-up space ninjas and we’re almost there, but because we love what we’ve made, and we love our little sack-friends, and most of all we love all our fans out there, we couldn’t let you all get together until we knew we were giving you the best experience imaginable. Which is why we’ve taken the hard decision to delay the worldwide release of LittleBigPlanet 2, originally slated for later this year to January 2011.
We know this will come as disappointing news for all you LittleBigPlanet fans, and believe us, we are disappointed too. We are a tight-knit team and we take enormous pride in our work, so to raise the bar we’ve set with the original LittleBigPlanet, a game that has been so embraced by all, we’ve agreed to allow ourselves a bit more time to deliver the experience that our great fans and community deserve. We are truly sorry, but hope you understand that we have to build the best possible game, as it is the foundation of our community.
On the upside, we are going to find a way to give more of you a taste of LBP2 prior to launch, so stay tuned.
Thanks for your continued love and support, it won’t be long – we promise.
Lots of love from all at Mm

Hey as long as Stephen Fry is still doing the voice overs for it i can wait a little longer.
Having done RDR (what a fucking quality game!!), I got the expansion pack for GTA IV: The Balard of Gay Tony.
It's pretty good value at £14 for a complete story thread and a bunch of side missions. Not ground breaking by any means but I felt GTA IV left little left to do after completing the main story so this pack is a great way to get back into the City for thrills and spills

I've got UFC Undisputed 2010 rented. I'm pretty badass when it comes to striking, and I'm decent enough at clinches and ground grapples. Takedowns I'm rubbish at, but I understand the fundamentals. Submissions, I can't do at all. No matter what I do, whenever I apply a submission, nothing happens. Whenever the computer applies a submission on me, it goes through and I tap out.
I've tried rotating the stick one way fast, tried rotating it both ways fast, tried rotating it with it pushed in, tried mashing buttons. Nothing works. I can have full stamina and the CPU has none, and it's exactly the same story every time. How do you attack with and defend against submissions?
Has anyone yet tried the MMA demo yet?

Actually yes, the 60GB were very prone to breaking. Obviously it was still only a minority of machines, but the 60 gig models were the ones they had the most problems with. Bought a second hand 60 giger for my gf's brother and it broke after a couple of weeks. It just cost 20-30 quid for a resolder, but still.

I quite liked COD for a one player, but on line it was full of tosspots. Bad company seemed to weed them out and people actually work as a team which makes it much more fun I think. The general dynamics of the online games is much more fun too I find.

I sent it back today. I just didn't get the hang of the submissions at all. I could be playing on the easiest mode and have the computer so wrecked that any shot to the midsection would put them on queer street, yet I couldn't make them tap. Which was fine, but on advanced difficulty there were some fighters that would go for submissions asap, and I was fucked then.

I'd recommend:
Heavy Rain - One of the best games i've played in a long, long time. I can't recommend this enough
Little Big Planet
Metal Gear Solid 4 - It's the reason i bought a PS3 in the first place
Dead Space - One of the better sci-fi/survival horror games released
Battlefield: Bad Company
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 - As it's already been said elsewhere in this thread the online mode is much more fun than COD as there's no sign of the massive cunts that plague COD
Elsewhere i've just found out that this is due out later this month:

As a big fan of C.S.I i'm very much looking forward to this one even if i'm a little gutted Grissom won't be in it. Still i really enjoyed "3 dimensions of murder" on the PS2 so i'm hoping this'll improve on that.

Heavy Rain's more something to watch than play, though. There's lots and lots of talking, then now and again you walk somewhere or input a command on the controller to open a door or switch a light on or whatever. I found it incredibly tedious, but a lot of people do seem to rate it as an "experience".
